There is a small banner with popup at the bottom of the screen that says "Sign up to get $50 off"

  • A tab came up at bottom of the screen for me! Just need to expand it, pretty sure I've got pop-ups blocked but possibly could be something to do with settings if it's not showing for you?

      Local vs grey import

    • +5

They have a pretty bad reputation here and elsewhere.

I was able to price beat tobydeals at office works. Got the buds+ for 160.55

      • do you just call in or in store OW

      • i did call in and they refuse to price beat because it's sold overseas.

  • No email yet, signed up with two separate accounts as well.

    Come on Samsung.

    • It can take a while, I signed up a few weeks back and had to wait over 12 hours for it to come through.

    • Check your junk mail. I signed up ~15 mins ago, and received the voucher a couple of mins ago.

      • Nothing yet. In the meantime black has gone out of stock.

        • Perhaps try another email address (or someone else's address in your family).

          • @xuqi: Trying that right now. They could be washing the emails against an existing list. Will report back.

Question for those that got this to work. Is the code in anyway linked to the email for purchase, did you use a different email address.

            • @tm32: New emails worked. codes are not associated with the email used.

              • @tm32: I’ve tried 3 emails in the last 6 hours and got nothing yet.

  • How long is the voucher valid for?

    • +4

I was considering these until last week. This week release of pixel buds 2 changed my mind. They look amazing and waiting for them. Is anyone in same boat???just curious…

    • Same boat! Signed up for the waitlist on the AU Google store.

    • +3

The Galaxy buds get a great review online, they are often compared to Apple buds and being on par.

    • +1

Those look good but I read it'll be $300 or more though, quite the premium to pay.

      • +1

May be 250$. Not sure though. There is a deal on one of the us site, which provide international shipping and price comes around 260$. May be we see official price around 250$. Still a better option for Android users considering airpods pro price.

        • +3

I reckon no chance of being less than $300. The us$180 price translates to about $300 just in exchange rate alone before any type of tax applied. For under $200 the buds+ are a pretty good deal for what you get.

    • +1

I might jump to pixel buds once my AirPods die.

I also have Xiaomi Redmi airdots which sound great too. Just wondering if anyone could compare them to Samsung buds? They sound excellent and are less than $40.

    • +2

Buds+ rate better from what I have seen

    • Most reviews say that the galaxy buds are better in pretty much every way apart from assistant integration. Much longer battery life, better sound quality, more comfortable fit (this ones very subjective though and varies per person). The Galaxy Buds are cheaper as well, so I honestly don't see why anyone would buy the Pixel buds over them.

  • +7

Rtings rate these the best overall trust wireless earbuds they have tested.

    https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/best/by-type/in-ea…

They have super accurate sound, light, good fit, good, good passive noise cancellation, long battery life

    • The best part is that they have one of the best microphones (3 mics in built) and long lasting battery life which makes them one of the best for work. Can't afford to sound mumbly during conference calls and keep charging it every 4hrs (these have 11hrs battery life per earbud charge)

  • Does this apply for repairs such as screen replacement through the Samsung website?

Excludes Samsung Enhanced Partnership Portals, Samsung Government Store, Samsung Business Store and Samsung Education Store. Subject to stock availability at time of purchase. Discount is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. Not available in conjunction with any other offer unless otherwise specified."

  • Can also be used with the education store. The Buds + will be 159 with the 50.00 voucher there.

    • Nope, the edu store requires you to spend $250 not $200

      • Orly? My bad.

  • FYI samsung education has this at $209.30. With the voucher it comes down to $159.30. Cheap

    • +7

Nope, the edu store requires you to spend $250 not $200.

It doesnt work for edu store (student discount a/c) .. please let me know if it works for anyone

        • I am waiting for my code. I will post it here if it works.

        • You need to spend at least $250 for it to work.

          • @rupp1e: I tried with 600$ in cart..but didnt work :(

            • @access2oz: You have to sign up with the edu voucher I believe

        • Did you receive it? A friend never received on his edu email. After another pop up offer he tried again but still no email and in junk folder. It says the $50 discount will be applied at checkout if you meet the minimum spend of $250 but still there is no discount of $50 applied. I think it’s for non edu email

          • +1

@alphaoasis: it worked for me .. I was able to use it in edu store .. got 50$ off on tablet

    • Well @accesspraveen confirmed it worked for me, I am still waiting for my code.

    • Edit, cannot be used in edu store.

      • Depends on item.

I’d be using these with an iPhone.
AirPods fall eight out of my ears and pro’s are way to expensive.
Would these be the next best option?

    • These could be a sensible option. Though a substantial part of AirPods' attractiveness is the convenience when using them with Apple devices. Easy to setup (though if you only use Buds+ with just 1 device, you only need to set it up once). Checking battery level is easy with AirPods (as you don't need to open a separate app). Then, there is the integrated Siri support on AirPods 2/Pro.

Also, a review indicated can't receive notifications through the earbuds if you're using the Buds+ with an iPhone.

I use my Sony on my Android phone and I still use AirPods 2 on my iPhone, iPad and Macbook Pro. When using Apple devices, I am not necessary after the ability to customise or features, I just want do things quick and simple.

      • You don't need to use a separate app on iphones to see battery level of the original Galaxy Buds so I can't imagine you need to for the Buds+. Just swipe across to the widgets and look at the battery one and it has their battery level.

  • I have Plantronics 5200 headset that I use for phone calls while driving. Is there any wireless buds that are as good or better than Plantronics for phone calls? Anyone happened to have them and tried out other wireless buds?

    • No. I've had a Legend for ages and they're built for calls so they're good at calling. If people make the occasional calls buds are great, but if you call often and respect the people's experience that you're talking to then people should get something proper like you have. I can't believe how many people on TV during COVID were giving interviews with bus in for audio and it's terrible.

    • Can't comment on the direct comparison with the plantronics 5200 but I have used plantronics backbit pro 5100 true wireless and they are bloody good for phone calls.
I have also never had issues with jabra 75t's call quality
      Hope that helps

  • Damnn was about to buy a pair of jabras but might jump on these - good price. What colour boys ? Black or white ?

    • +1

Black if you can get em

    • +5

Depends on what colour your ears are. Get one of each?

    Duplicate but that's okay :)

Signed up a few hours ago but still no email.

    • Try another email account you have access to. Had the same problem, and I suspect its because they are only sending to genuine new email addresses.

Didn't try a gmail alias, though reckon that would work as well.

Code is not associated with the email btw.

      • +1

Tried 4 accounts with various domains…. No email 6 hours later

        • Update on this now tried 6 accounts and waited 24hours. Still nothing :(

If anyone is able to generate a code and PM me I will be greatly appreciative

          • @testeagles: Contacted via live chat. Apparently a guy called Connor sorted it… Still waiting on the email 12 hours later. I'm thinking this isn't going to work out for me

    • Better than hwawei where they use it to track and hack your movements to a communitist government.

      • Ahh the good old 'communitist' government…
Only ti bit better than the communist government :P

        • Yep definitely. So true

  • no voucher.

    • I had similar problem. Used my work email and received the coupon immediately. Looks like they are filtering emails now.

  • Just jumped on this - thanks. Had no issues with receiving the voucher with a hotmail account.

  • These or Sony WF-1000XM3??
    Thanks.

    • Got JB to price match, good enough for me
Sony form Factor is bigger and doesn’t feel like it’s sits in well. May be my ears. Others may find it ok. The buds+ would be better whilst I’m outdoors and moving. Whilst not for sports, but it fits well enough to be a daily.
But sound quality for music, Sony hands down

      • Can you please PM your receipt, I'm trying to price match at JB as well.
        Thank you so much.

        • Sorry how to PM?

          • @TreeHugger: I see there's no PMing on ozbargain, can you post it here please.?

  • i just receive a code but no plan to buy it, any1 needs it pm me.

    • I'm interested. Thanks

  • ok , good luck. you there?

    • Yeah sorry, have enabled PM now.

      Thx trident2010

  • I am after a code if anyone received and not going to use. Thanks in advance

    • Is the promotion over or just not working for you?

      • It's just not working for me. Have tried a ton of different email addresses over a 48 hour period.

  • Not getting the promoe codes afte registereing several different emails…

Email to '[email protected]' and tell them you havn't received the promo code. They send me one straight away so I got one Buds

    • I emailed them an hour ago and didn't receive anything except their autoreply. How long did it take them to reply you?

      • I signed up with two emails and also emailed them. I haven't gotten a response yet.

        • I have tried all of those methods, no reply…

          • @testeagles: 2 days. Still no response except for the auto reply. I guess it just isn't meant to be.

  • Have a Bose Soundsport Free from the price error deal. Are these better?

  • -1

Black and white AU/NZ stock, not the imported version (which for some reason is more expensive!):
