Unlinking PayPal from eBay to Earn Commbank Reward Points

Commbank credit cards do not give reward points on purchases using PayPal. When I choose to use my credit card instead on eBay the merchant processing the payment still appears as PayPal on my cc statement. I want to earn reward points when shopping on eBay.

Q1. Who will be the merchant if I unlink PayPal from my eBay account?
Q2. Can I still use PayPal after unlinking?

    Ebay uses PayPal even when you dont have an account and "pay by credit card"

    I want to earn reward points when shopping on eBay.

    Dont use that CBA CC. There are many alternatives:
    - OzB CC guide
    - Point Hacks

    Buy eBay giftcards from Coles/Woolies/Auspost.

        You may lose some added benefits from using CC directly, though.
