Its high time eBay updated their UI to make searches easy and avoid sellers from gaming search results.

    any good tv deals????

      • too small, the new hisense s8 is $750 delivered for 50 inch, i believe there is better similar deals for EOFY coming. say a sub 1k 65 inch hisense s8 or the new tcl line c715, but even the c715 is fake qled meaning its edge lit, only the upcoming hisense q8 is real qled meaning FALD

    • They must have had a deal on ? when you got yours.

      • get what? i didnt get nothing yet, i was interested in the tcl p8m with tgg commerical account which i dont have so i tried to price match in store and they didnt do it, waiting on a similar deal for a 65"

        • +1

          Too small

  • +9

New RRP set by Sellers (ebay) which is more than the manufacturer lol

    • Even when manufacturer is the seller (Sony Online)

  • Can anyone suggest any good deals on a 4K monitor? I won't use it for gaming. Mostly to admire the aesthetics of photos and other 4K content on there.

  • +3

I use to love and advocate for eBay but now… They sucky with all this jacking crap

  • +13

Absolutely pointless sale when everyone increases their prices. Really wish the ACCC would do something about these "sales"

    • +3

I mentioned the same thing above. The community should just file reports with them until they take notice.

      https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/prices-surcharges-receipts…

Surely it falls under this category.

      Misleading prices may include:

a ‘before’, ‘was’ or ‘strike through’ price that is not the price those items were sold for in a reasonable period immediately before the sale period started

      • +2

I thought everyone knew that ACCC is useless .
        Maybe not !
For those who have time to waste .

  • +3

I love "these discounts", we give you 15% discounts, but prices are higher than usual by 20% …

  • Does anyone know if there's a seller that sells Dyson?

  • +2

Can we please make it mandatory to list an actual product/deal for these eBay offers?

  • Any 1200w LG Microwave deals ?

  • +2

Can we all do a collective 'meh'?

  • any Xbox One Controllers?

  • +5

    Negging due to rice Jack's.

    • see my comment below. futu wasnt content jacking prices presale, they have done so today on an item i bought earlier. very disgusted by this

  • Don't think this list is complete. In my email from eBay it had boozebud for example (same code and 15%).

Mavic Air 2 Flymore combo comes to $1614 from Crazy Hobbies

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DJI-Mavic-Air-2-Quadcopter-Drone…

    Or standalone for $1275

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/114216521440

    • they forgot to take them off this morning

      • Gone now!

        • Did you get one? That might be a break even to them

          • @qzcbmo: Doubt it, they're about $1500 AUD when you convert the USD RRP price of $988 for the flymore. I can only imagine the margins decent margins on these things, of course if people are happy to pay RRP then no incentive to discount.

      • Of course… cant be selling things people might actually want now, can they? :)

  • -1

$899 for 27inch gaming monitor? Rip off. A normal one will do me fine, glad I finally got my one out of the way for less than $200 at Office Work.
Hard to find good bargains these days :(

  • +4

Here we go again, jack up prices by 15%+ then a 15% discount.. LOL.
For those who upvoted this deal, just randomly pick a few items (especially things that are high in demand like electronics) and see the previous sold price.

  • -3

just remember many products could have been imported when the exchange had dropped 10%. also the shipping fees during that time were horrendous. i bought my monitor for $450, now it's like $650 with little stock.

  • Mavic Mini flymore for $670 from Crazy Hobbies -

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/114216524745

Quick before they pull that listing too :)

    • they didn't pull them out even at 20% off. agree with your comments above DJI stuff is tricky

  • +1

OK this needs to be posted. I bought this RX5700 this morning. It was listed at $799, I paid $680 with the discount.

Seller has bumped up the price TODAY to $829

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MSI-AMD-Radeon-RX-5700-XT-MECH-O…

This is very dodgy and not good Futu

edit: in all seriousness, I have proof of price jump here. what can be done? who can I report to (if at all?)

    • same thing happened to one of the monitor I was watching. still more expensive than other seller after discount…

    • edited. Didnt see this was XT

  • +2

Absolutely refuse to purchase an item that is price jacked, do I want the item YES, do I need it NO. This item has been price jacked by F-U-TU 'LG UltraGear 27GL850 27" 144Hz'

  • +2

Can't believe this site & community support deceptive BEHAVIOUR.

Price jacking should result in hiding the seller, AS A MINIMUM.

    • How do I hide a seller? I looked in the past but couldn't find it.

  • +3

Here we go again…. No Way! Jack Off!

  • +3

The only way to not support this kind of dodgy practice, is to neg the deal and not take part.
Or report to media like allphones from last year.

  • +4

Too much jacking. No deals AT ALL!

  • All fridge deals? 350-500 litres.

  • +1

Just don't bother to do any kind of sales at all eBay. We have had enough now with that only eligible items and jacked up price.

  • I’ve screen captured the stuff I’m interested in to compared with jacked prices when ebay has discounts.

Haven’t found a discount yet for the hair clippers I’m after.

  • Thanks OP, was waiting for a decent discount code to use when buying a Merino wool quilt for my son, this worked a treat.

    • Guessing you haven't checked their feedback. Oops.

      • The 48 negative comments out of 24600 purchases? Pfft.

        • Lol. Stopped at step 1.

          Not all negs are equal.

      • +1

I've bought from them before, from this deal.

        Fantastic product from my experience.

  • Is a 20% code likely to come around soon? When was the last time one came around?

  • +2

Things I had on my list have either been removed or jacked just prior to this sale. I don't even know how people just blindly upvote these eBay sales. At least I know the end date of the sale for when all the prices will return to normal…

Neg because major issue with both eBay not enforcing some rules to stop this shonky shit and for the retailers being as shifty as and raising prices.

  • Lol Futu just further increased their price for the GL850.
