        Better late than never

      • +3

LOL waiting for the very special one.

    • +5

Copied from description section on Amazon.

      • Why? Can you get it cheaper?

        • -4

          Yes. $10 cheaper.

          • +2

            @r3volt: Post the deal then?

            • -3

@Frayin: Can't post. I posted it in the earlier post

              • @r3volt: Your last deal was 2012. Nothing stopping you from posting the better deal.

          • @r3volt: Then post away?

    • +1

Did you just copy my comment on the person who posted about the 16gb?

      • -4

Do you feel special trying to get your 3 seconds of attention?

You even went to effort of going to my comment and downvoting. Clap clap

  • Thanks, brought to upgrade the 16gb ram i got.
I use AMD so hopefully no troubles..

    • Shouldn't be a problem. Best way to check compatibility is to use pcpartpicker if unsure

    • I have this kit - 3700X and ASUS Prime X570-P. Works well.

      • Same here but with ASRock B450 Pro-4 and same CPU

100% stable, runs 24/7 at stock speeds for both RAM and CPU.

Struggle to see much point going elsewhere.

Thanks! Got it for $201.99 delivered on the app with $10 off code.

    • May I ask what code?

      • +1

I think you get $10 off when you buy it on the app using APPONLY10, it should say on the website.

        • which app

          • @tomless: Amazon app.

            • @5cooter: APPONLY10 didnt work for me via the APP

              • +1

@ketchmeup: might be a code that only works for your first purchase via APP… not 100% sure though.

    16-18-18-36 if anyone was wondering

    • Yeah and I can do a little OC with 3333 mhz with FBLCK to Auto. For timing I dont know to make it best, anyone have a good result with OC this memory please share if you can thank. And good price for 32GB too.

      Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3466 (PC4-27700) C16 1.35V
2x16GB/3466/C16/RGB at $278, two reviews said it's B-Die, never been this cheap according to 3camel.

  • +1

    Purchased

  • +2

Have this kit and B450 mobo, cant get it run stable for more than 2666 MHz regardless any timming

    • What B450 mobo are you using?

    • And what CPU? =)

    • Bought before reading this comment. I have an MSI B450. I’m crossing my fingers now!

      • +1

If you run into issues, set the command rate to 2T. Really need to know the memory die used in these. I wouldn't count on these being Samsung B-die. Only specific versions of this module has B die, but that's the older one. Newer ones seem to have switched to Hynix.

4.31 is B-die. 4.32 - there is a bit of a debate on that one. Some people believe it is C-die, rather than B-die though Thaiphoon burner reports 4.32 as B-die. All other versions are likely not B-die.

If you are going 4 DIMMs, simply set command rate to 2T.

        • Just noting that this set works perfectly at 3200!

  • +1

I'm looking for ram upgrade too. Is this good price?

  • +1

I have 2 pairs of these kits. They are all Samsung B-Die and do 3466Mhz easy at CL15 on an X570 board with 3700x. Got it for $125 for a 32GB kit back in Jan

    • how?! omg so beautiful

    • Edit: never mind didn't read comment properly.

What X570 board are you using?

      • +2

Have 2 setups - one MSI X570 Gaming Edge and one Asus TUF X570 Gaming Plus. Both of them work fine

    • Perchance a wee bit of psilocybin or mescaline contamination in your Weetbix this morning ? :)

    • Are you able to have them running at DDR4-3600 stable without voltage bump? Was hoping / think B-die would be able to do that with 4 DIMMs.

  • holy shit we back to last year's prices lads!

  • Do I need 48gb of ram as a video editor?

    • More the merrier

    • Wouldn't hurt, but you'll see more improvement buying a better CPU

    • It can't hurt. Would be nice to play games while leaving your project going or whatever.

    • Load up a timeline and watch the usage.

I was working on a 30min high but rate 1080p video and barely got over 10GB usage. Haven’t tried a 4K timeline yet…

I purchased the 32gb rgb kit from a week or two ago though. Wish I could swap to this though (hate rgb but it was cheaper)

      • Tried this on a 4k 8-bit timeline and it maxed out my 16gb of ram with no other programs open so I pulled the trigger.

  • Currently have 2x 16 gb sticks of this variant. Will i encounter issues adding these two sticks? (total ram will be 48gb)?

    • Probably not, just have run ram at lowest speed set. It also depends what motherboard, I know some are picky with compatibility for some reason while other runs fine.

    • If you have the same exact ram in this deal, you'll have no problems. Best to keep all your sticks the same for stability.

    • +2

Do you mean you currently have 2x 8gb sticks (16gb total)? If so I'd probably advise against mixing them. best to go all the same

    • On different channels there won't be any issues since you're not writing to them concurrently.

    • I've got 2x8gb of the exact variant, not sure if I can add them to the Gigabyte z170x-gaming 5 motherboard.

    • AMD Ryzen based system? If you go for 4 DIMMs total, you need to know your current memory die. What will most likely happen is:

      • You have to set command rate to 2T. If you insist on going 1T, you will need to drop speed. Consider yourself lucky if you can get DDR4-3200 with command rate of 1T going with 4 DIMMs. I don't think your current 2x16GB DDR4-3200 kit would be that great.
      • If you are looking to overclock, DDR4-3466 is a threshold that is going to be difficult to break for 4 DIMMs. You can feed in more power to try, but not sure that's a good idea.

Maybe you are really luck that your current set is Samsung B-die and you get a set from Amazon that's also B-die. With 2 DIMMs, you will find a lot of decent quality RAM modules can reach DDR4-3600 in 2 DIMMs config, but 4 DIMMs, AMD Ryzen's inbuilt memory controller doesn't seem to deal with them well.

Intel based system with Z-series chipset would be much easier to overclock RAM modules.

      • current system is z390 with intel 9900k

  • 16GB 3600mhz or this 32GB 3200mhz on an SFF Gaming / Productivity Build?

    • +1

Depends on your budget. If you're building around the $1k mark, definitely 16GB. If you're building over $1.5k (i.e. 3700X + 5700XT class components or similar) then go with 32GB.

Personally I find 32GB to be the standard these days. 8GB was the standard from around 2008 - 2014, then 16GB from 2014 - 2020. Programs are only becoming more memory hungry. I can chew through almost 32GB with Chrome tabs alone…

      • Thanks. Running a 5700 XT in this build so that makes it easy. 32 it is.

      • I’d love to see a screenshot of that

Extensions can be memory hungry. I also tend to have around 50 - 100 tabs open at any point in time. Mostly articles that I have to read, things I have to work on, references for whatever I'm coding, different social media, YouTube…etc.

Over 25GB with just Chrome and background tasks and no VM's running. Can easily hit close to 64GB with a few VM's on and when doing computations or rendering videos…etc.

  • I have a Biostar A320 motherboard from techfast. I know the A320 only supports 2933MHz, but will these work?

    • +1

Yes, just run them at 2933.

      • My MOBO only uses 2100/2400, Im pretty sure these sticks will run but only at 2400. Im assuming automatically. Asus Prime h270 plus

    Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3466 (PC4-27700) C16 1.35V
I just bought this 2x16GB/3466/C16/RGB kit instead at $278, never been this cheap according to 3camel.
Also two reviews said it's B-Die, finger crossed though.

  • I am running the same 16x2 combo since December on a new Ryzen 5 3600, MSI B450-A Pro Max without any problem. Reported as Hynix Ram.

  • +3

I bought this kit for ~$120 when it went on sale on Amazon earlier this year (amazing price) but I could never get it to run at the full 3200MHz using XMP, the most I could get it to run at was 2933MHz. I'm not overclocking running a Ryzen 5 2600.

EDIT: I just tried upping the voltage a bit and it seems to be stable now, neat.

  • Thanks. Was about to buy 16gb for $140 so this has been great value

  • Grabbed this for a 3700x B550 build, only problem is I also got the 4000mhz c18 16gb kit that was recently up on ozbargain, not sure what's better will sell what I don't need.

  • Wow good price.
Just got the G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB 3200MHz DDR4 x2 from the eBay 10% off deal the other day for $216 so probably similar.

Was happy with either one to run with Ryzon 7 3700x and MSI B450M Mortar Max, hopefully no issues.

  • Any deal on the 16gb 3200mhz kit 2 x 8gb?

  • Didn't think I needed this - then checked and saw over 5gb of my 8gb was used just with five chrome tabs! Was thinking to go 2x8 but why not future proof right?

  • Will these work on a B350 mobo from techfast?

    • Best to find out what your motherbaord model is then head over to their website, they'll likely have a compatability guide with a list of compatible RAM Brands/Models.

  • Corsair seem to have 2 versions of the LPX 32GB C16 ram kits, one of them optimised for Intel (CMK32GX4M2B3200C16), one of them optimised for AMD (CMK32GX4M2Z3200C16). Does anybody know if they are really different? Is anybody using the Intel optimised version with an AMD processor and are they working well?

    • After researching this for an upgrade I am planning, I think the best way to be sure is to check the model number against the RAM compatibility list for the specific mobo you are using.

  • I think this is B die

  • I'm running 4x 8gb of the 3200 C16 LPX sticks on a B450 Tomahawk Max with a 3900X and can't get them stable at 3200, have to run them at 3000 otherwise my system crashes for some reason. I honestly don't know too much about it, could potentially fix it but 3000 still seems fine to me.

  • Shame on me, went to purchase but left it too long. Price is now showing as:
    Price: $232.34 + $7.94 Delivery
