  • Anyone know the item id for the iPad?

  • Will it be a 4G iPad or just wifi

    • Almost certain it will be just WIFI

    • +1

100% wifi only since it's supposedly a grey import.

  • +1

    Will gone in 0.0001 sec

These are not deals barely anyone can get them, I’m sick of seeing these on the front page.

    • well this is the end of these deals so you have that to look forward to.

      • Good. Hopefully that means we won't see that lame TV ad anymore too

  • Well last time I tried one of these, my website wont even load, so no thanks

  • +7

    This is a deal.
There will be literally THOUSANDS of people trying to buy it tomorrow. They could have double the stock and it will still sellout.
Your reason for negging is basically saying "this deal is too good and everyone wants one".
OzBargain is Australia's 28th most popular website.
eBay is THE most popular shopping website.

    • Yea it’s funny how some deals have less than 50, 30, 20 in stock and it still Doesn’t get a neg.
This has 400, and people call it a competition.

It’s just a damn good deal, and funny a bargain website user would neg it because it’s a good deal.

Imagine if they priced it at $450 (10 bucks less than the last time this iPad made the front page. It wouldn’t sell out within 5 mins, but maybe people would appreciate it more. Weird.

The problem isn't the quantity or the price. It is how people are allowed to create multiple accounts apply a free trial of ebayplus and get multiple items. Almost half of all good deals are going to new users. While others who has paid for ebayplus don't even stand a chance. Ebay still hasn't addressed this issue in anyway.

      • Good point

  • Keen to give this one a go, had pretty good innings this round of ebay plus deals. Actually managed to manually checkout a pair of airpods and samsung tab, this will be the cherry on top.

    • Whats the secret? How can I get one of the Ipads ?
      I wish I could score a Airpod pro 🙁

      • +2

Good internet, payment set on credit card and be quick
I wasn’t successful in these deals before but this time around got both airpod and airpod pro,

        • when you say set, there's no way to default to cc is there?

  • I’ll give this a go. I do pretty well with these deals in the past.

  • +2

please be aware this iPad is imported US stock, does not come with Australian plug, and ACL warranty needs to be claimed through seller (if any of that matters to you)

    • How do you know that?

    • source?

      • OP posted a comment and mentioned it's US stock but it has been removed

    • Can someone confirm this? Was hoping it to be AU stock.

      • +1

Saw the comment as well but its since been removed. So not sure if it actually is US stock.

        • The one I am sure is made in china

    • You pretty much need to claim ACL warranty (i.e. the 2nd year) through your reseller even if its AU stock. Apple will only help you with the mandated 1year warranty unless you buy applecare. Found this out the hard way.

  • I am sure everyone will manage to get one “not”. This eBay deals are pathetic.

  • is it just 100 or 100 at each timeslot?

  • I wouldn't bother with 32gb.

    • +3

I had an iPad 6th Gen with 32GB, installed about 12 or so large music apps (such as synths, hosts, daws, guitar/amp sims, virtual instrument workstations) still had plenty of space. How much storage space you need is pretty subjective to your use case.

  • Would rather wait for a good deal for iPad Air 2019

    • +1

      I got a new sealed Air 64gb 4g for $500 off gumtree.

  • +5

This is all about getting people to sign up to eBay Negative and accidentally staying on after free trial

  • +4

not sure why people are still complaining about this whole promotion…
there are countless tips and tricks posted by many people in various different threads that don’t involve bots or scripts at all.
In regards to the multiple account/free trials issue, sure ebay maybe should change this or change that but nothing is stopping you from doing the exact same thing and creating more accounts/buying multiple items etc
seems pretty fair to me imo

    • Yeah, if anything those people who aren’t ozbargain members and don’t have access to these tips are the real losers from this. Without scripts, macros or extra accounts I’ve been able to get around half a dozen of these deals including the AirPods. Be ready at exactly the time they go live with the code on copy paste and you have a very reasonable chance.

    another BS from eBay Plus.

  • +2

Another day, another ebay competition! meh

  • Unattainable

  • I'm contemplating if this is the Ipad I want/need for work purposes. Would have been great with cellular knowing we had $5/month data sim available from Telstra last month.

    iPad 32gb WiFi $329

Don't forget TRS if going overseas…… Said no one.

    • Unfortunately not a great time to be travelling in the current situation

  • Ow sell much cheaper than apple, not sure how

    https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/ipad-7th-g…

  • Could some share share tips/link to tips on getting these deals? Figure I'll have a go for it.

  • Given the amount of censorship in this thread. This is going to be a s***storm 2moro when no one gets one or they are grey imports which don't comply with Apple Australia warranty.

  • It's sad that they resort to these dubious 'deals" more and more.

  • A10 processor which is 3 years, oh actually 4 years old. But its ok for an iPad I guess. Dunno since when they increase the price to above 500 dollars for the basic iPad. It was around 350 - 400 two years ago for a brand new base model

    • Yeah that was my recollection, I don't go for iPads much but I thought the low end was around $400 so when I saw the link about this on the weekend I was thinking it would be a $199 deal.

    • It’s roughly the same accounting for exchange rate.

    • Doesn’t this have the Apple Pencil support as well? Admit the operating system is pretty old, they should have upgraded it.

  • -1

Going to try and get one for a happy ending.

32GB too small? Don't buy it!
A10 processor too slow? Don't buy it!
4 x 100 units not enough? Go learn the OzBargain trick which we all should have learnt by now!

  • Whats the url for this item ?

  • This type of ipad can be found in usa quite frequently for $250 usd ($364 Aud), it is a bargain but nothing stellar

    • +1

The lowest price was about $470 before the pandemic. It then went back up to its RRP of $529 during the lockdown as kids need one to do homework at home. Now that they are not in demand anymore, the price had came down to around $500.

      $329 is a great price.

      • Have you got the seller/item link ?

        • I don't have the item link. I message the OP for the item link but he hasn't replied. He mentioned it in a post before but probably deleted that post for a reason.

        • Check back on the OP link between 9:30am - 9:45am. Hopefully the item link is there.

      • I really thought it was an OK price because thanks to ozbargain I joined myUS, bought few things in USA and get them delivered here (weirdly enough ipads in Usa are quite cheap). Having AUS stock for warranty and not go through the hassle to send it here is definitely a positive.

        • I know what you mean. If you can source items from overseas it will save you a fortune. We are paying ripoff prices in Aus for so many products.

        • OP has confirmed in PM that it is US stock. Not entirely sure how that will work for warranty purposes. I generally base cost off of consideration of resell value down the track (with a second hand device). Take the pixel for example that bad boi plummeted down in price. Apple products hold their value, however, a US model second hand may be much harder to sell than an AU version second hand.

          • @exc3113nce: If the warranty is similar to the Apple Watch and other Apple products it will be 1 year world wide warranty plus 1 year warranty through the reseller.

You are right. Resell value won't hold up as much. This won't be a problem for us as we don't resell. We just pass on the used iPhones to the kids and the kids pass on the used iPad to us.

            • @DarkOz: If there is a fault in the second year though, will the supplier need to send it back to the US for repair? Could be some turn around time for repairs.

              • @exc3113nce: Not sure how that would work. Someone who has experience with this issue can answer you I suppose.

Personally I am willing to take the chance. We probably used about 20 different Apple products over the last 10 years and never had a single issue. iPhones, iPads, Apple Watch and Airpods. Most of the faults were physical damages by the user.

  • I know the title of this post shows it as a 2019 7th gen iPad, but I dont see anything on the Ebay banner that this is so.
Is it possible this may ba a 6th gen clearout ?

    • +1

The picture on eBay is 7th gen.

      • No worries. Thanks

  • -2

Just here to comment that I got 3 of each of the AirPods and AirPod Pros and 2 Apple Watches. People down vote these like crazy because they don't get an item for super cheap yet it's still a Deal.

Relatives are getting Christmas in July real soon, way to up the spirits during this Covid period.

    • Nice. Apple watch isn't cheap even at discounted price i can't bear to buy it.

    • +4

So you had three accounts? Because I thought you could not re-use the code for reappearing items like airpods?

      • That's correct you can't re-use the code….

        • +4

Those people abuse the rules badly but feel proud of themselves.

          • +1

@RimofLeo: Correct 1 account per deal type, whether it is airpods on different days or not.
Who is to say all three accounts are in my name? Thank you for the assumptions. No rule breaking here just someone who is lucky with these deals.

            • @IGiveIntoTemptation: Who is to say you are one of those people, then?

              • @RimofLeo: I am one of the people with the account, the other two are family members. All have had Ebay Plus since these specials last year.

Like I've said people are just neg voting good deals because they don't get them..

    • -3

I can't believe I managed to get a pair of airpods pro, galaxy tab A and galaxy A70 then thought I was doing good lol

There is always an Ozbargainer that is doing better (care to share how you managed this prowess? on pc? phone? ebay or CC? spam right on time or few seconds prior? please teach this poor padawan)

      • -2

Still awesome work! people down voting are just slow.

  • +7

    Any link to the iPad?

  • will this have like a discount code which we need to paste in the cart?

    • yup

      • thanks mate

        • where should we look for the discount code?

    • Yes - it will show up in a small info box under the buy it now section of the ad.

      • cool thanks!

        • F5 at the ready….

        • In all likelyhood you will need to keep the checkout page open for the rest of the day and try for the other drops - don't close it.

  • not much hype in the comment section this time - perhaps there's a better chance at actually getting one

    • Nah all the resellers aren't spilling the beans
