      The lift time of the account. Terminated by various factors I expect. But even at $30/yr, it's not an outrageously cheap price, so I wouldn't expect they're jeopardising their long term viability, if that's what you're getting at.

    If I just wanna build a small open sourced shopping website, what option should I get?

    I don't have an idea about how much storage I need for this. is 30GB enough? or 15GB or 5?

    can you give me an estimate?

    the source code is about 20MB.
    and I don't think I will have many to sell.

      Hi, for an online shop I’d suggest SSD.

      Storage wise depends on the size of your shop. If your starting out, then the starter plan should be OK.

      Alternatively Intermediate SSD for more storage plus more resources.

        so if I'm choosing to pay the cheapest one for $34.75 a year, what if I wanna switch in the future?

        do I get refund of the unused portion of the previous service and then I start a more expensive service?

        do I still have the 50% discount for the more expensive service?

        for example I'm paying $34.75 for 5GB,
        do I have the chance to switch to 15GB still paying half price in the future which is $74.75?
        and then maybe in the future $139.75 for 30GB services?
        (for lifetime)?
        in a word, does switching from different services change the status of 'lifetime half price'?

          You can always upgrade, the discount still applies.

          You’ll simply pay the difference. So if you’re halfway through a 12 month plan.

          Then upgrade, you’ll have to only pay 6 months worth of the upgrade difference, taking into account what you’ve already paid.

      The key differences between SSD are as follows:

      SSD is a little more expensive, with more limited space - However runs on a much faster server and faster NVMe Disk for better loading speed.

      The regular server is a bit cheaper, more generous space, but subsequently slower than the SSD.

      There's also higher resource allocations on the SSD server along with unlimited domains per plan (So you can host as many websites as you want within the space limits).

      Hope that all explains it a bit better.

      I’d go SSD for a blog, if starting then the smaller plans will be OK

      If established and lots of content then maybe up the plan a little bit.

      We perform our own off-site backups for all servers in the event of failures, issues, etc. However we do also encourage each customer to perform their own backups and store those off-site too, as you should with any provider.

    Would the Starter SSD package be OK for a small Wordpress store (woocommerce + a handful of basic plugins) with up to 1000 visits a month?
    Ram seems very generous, just not sure about CPU allocation.

      Hi,

      I'm sure that'll be fine - The Starter SSD still runs quite well.

      Worst case we can upgrade and keep the 50% discount if needed, but I can assume that the specs on the starter SSD will be fine for WordPress WooCommerce and many of our customers run similar setups with no issues on this plan.
