    Does anyone have any more good recommendations to purchase direct from the winery? btw, how long does the delivery normally take to NSW with covid?

    well they turned up pretty quickly - although i got the Lakeside Shiraz in the virtual packs a bit of a surprise for my dozen of the lakeside seem to have run out so received a bit of an upgrade (i hope) with a replacement dozen of 2018 Pertaringa Undercover Shiraz - will enjoy the challenge of opening both and being able to do my own reviews.

      Yep - everything has left the warehouse and orders already turning up in Victoria and even Tasmania. It's surprised even us!
      You're right, around 35 or so lucky folk have been upgraded from the Lakeside SA Shiraz 2018 to the Pertaringa 'Undercover' McLaren Vale Shiraz 2018 (RRP $25/btl) and now in its 12th consecutive year as a 90+pt wine from James Halliday. Enjoy! Cheers RD :-)

    Was going to order 12 pack of Lakeside SA Shiraz but noted it is 2019 compared to the original post of 2018. Price also went up from $89 to $99 :-(

      Hi x d. Sorry but yes, sadly all thing pass. The 2018 Shiraz passed away quietly some days ago. It was succeeded by the heir to the Lakeside Shiraz throne, the newer, fresher, younger 2019 vintage who is commanding a slightly higher price due to their youth and scarcity.     Delivery to Brisbane by Couriers Please seem to be painfully slow…
    Tracking says the items were picked up from the sender on 13 August and that's the most recent tracking available.
    Something else I bought was picked up from Victoria on the exact same day by Aust Post and it arrived today.

    EDIT: having read their review on productreview, now I understand.

    Richard, any plans to use a more reliable courier than Couriers Please?

      EDIT: Hi Keejonc. Couriers Please deliver the vast majority of the 20,000+ cases of wine we despatch each year domestically for over a decade. That gives us some good data on speed, accuracy and breakages. Couriers Please generally deliver quickly and without error - if they didn't we wouldn't use them. Frankly, all couriers have their good and bad and we constantly assess each carrier we use against set criteria and occasionally switch from one provider to another or have preferred carriers into certain locations.

        Just got the wine today.

        I’m not a white wine guy, but I’m not a monster either and I’ll pair it with the right foods.

        And. Dare. I. Say.

        This is among one of the most enjoyable whites I have had. Did you say lychee? Because LYCHEE. I don’t even like lychee but I love the Sauvignon Blanc you have conjured up.

        I cannot wait to share this with my partner tomorrow. And I cannot wait to open up the rest of the dozen. Thank you.

    Hi @RD ADL,

    Just a heads up mate that ive been having so many issues with the courier you have used. I went to the shops one lunchtime and missed the delivery. I had to organise re-delivery, so i selected my date. The items never arrived. I have been on the phone multiple times to the courier. They promised to deliver it last friday but it never came. It was dropped off at the depot rather than re-delivered after i had requested for it to be redelivered twice. Ive just been on the phone Again and ive been told it will be re-delivered but im not very optimistic it will be here by tomorrow. You try to escalate it and get fobbed off.

    I would probably avoid using Couriers please in the future. Im not sure if many others have had the same issue. Its no reflection on the winery of course, just some feedback regarding delivery.

      For future deliveries, (assuming this experience hasn't put you off!), if you have preferred carrier from Fastways, Australia Post or if you have somewhere where a courier can securely leave your wine outside your home, then please let us know. Afterall, you tend to know who works best in your local area and we're happy to work within those preferences.
