I'd expect more than 20% off it that was true.
Just check your ceiling height. Otherwise you might have to cut the curtain and stich it.

You wouldn't cut it though. Just hem it.
Personally, I'd recommend spotlight curtains over ikea. Much greater range, and I've found their blackouts are better.
Also check the width…a common mistake is to buy curtains that are just the same width as the windows, but if you do that they'll look like a flat bedsheet when they're hung. You may need to buy either a double-width size or even two sets of the same curtains if you want a nice 'gathered' look when they're closed. (I may have made that mistake once…or twice…when Mrs. C sent me out to buy curtains unsupervised…)

Block out blinds. Good for those people that don't have to work at the moment. Enjoy the sleep in.
They are great, but in my experience even the curtains a level less than blockout, block just as well (Gives you more style choices to know this).
Has definitely helped keep my bedroom dark, so they get the thumbs up from me.
