Just saw an ad on TV for Buy one get one free Digital cameras + Other deals. Similar to the 'buy one get one free Laptops' I guess.

Ends Tues 1st (Its some Melbourne Cup Sale or something)

      I might have a spare - waiting for my mate to confirm. I grabbed the last 2 x G12 from Domayne North Ryde. They also have an S95 left, but only the display model. Didn';t see any higher end Sony like the HX9V either, mostly lower end Sonys. They had a decent range of Canon and Nikon, also the Panasonic like the waterproof one etc.

    Just purchased Olympus Tough TG-310.

    Word of warning: PRINT OUT THE INTERNET PRICE.

    One box had $299, the other $249 and I was going to be charged $249. Luckily I had the internet price printed of $233. I feel sorry for the poor sods that get slapped with an overpriced sticker :/ Dodgy.

    They are also selling over-priced bundle packs (memory/case etc). The store clerk tried her best to sell me overpriced addon crap "Your camera won't work without a memory card, you have to purchase one from us to make your camera work". Come on memory card specials now ;)

    PS: If anyone wants to buy my other TG-310 off me let me know :)

      Just got back from HN Bundall QLD. Got my two Canon SX230 HS for $393. First one in line. The guy tried to charge me $449 (the marked price). Luckily I did print out the web price before going.

      He also tried to upsell me on a "camera pack" for $100 for each camera. Case, memory card and extra warranty. Meh. He looked quite despondent when I didn't bite.

          Ring the store, ask to speak to the manager. Ask if it's store policy not to honour advertised prices, get his name. Make sure you keep a printed copy of the web page with the price and the 2 for 1 deal.

          Report back with results. :D

          BTW by tomorrow, there will probably be nothing worth getting left.

          I ended up purchasing the cameras but at the RRP of $449 and not the online price of $393. I spoke with the manager there and he said they "had" to sell them at RRP but of course other stores have honored the online price.

          I call BS that managers have to sell at RRP - if so that's very misleading as their website advertises a price and states "Buy One Digital Still Camera, Get One Free".

          I'd argue the point with the manager or call 1300-GO-HARVEY with manager present (not sure if that phone number diverts to local store or not?).

          Ring up HN head office and complain. Mention contacting the ACCC with a complaint and "offer" them the opportunity to do the right thing before you involve the government.

          I got a hold of the Melbourne store manager and pointed out the discrepancy. They got back to me within a half hour and refunded me the $56 over the phone. They said that the rules changed on the website. I am skeptical if that's the case but am happy they fixed it for me in the end.

    Just came from HN Moore Park and picked up a Sony HX9V and an Olympus XZ-1 for $499. As others have said, make sure you print out the internet price since they had the XZ-1 at $599 although all I did was mention to them that the internet price was $499 and they gave it to me at that price.

    P.S. They said the XZ-1 was the last one they had. They might have another HX9V but I'm not sure. Call first if you plan on going to HN Moore Park.

    Guys HN chadstone is worst.
    1. They have inflated the price, so no longer one you see on the website.
    2. Good cameras only 1 or 2 in stock.
    3. I wanted to buy Olympus SZ-30MR, they had 4 boxes on the shelf, when I asked to buy that he told me they are just empty boxes and took them to place at the back storage.

    Lucky I called HN moorabbin they had only two I asked him to reserve it for me, went there and bought two for 399. Guy there was very helpful.

    Anyone keen to buy one?

      You were lucky. The T&Cs state "no rain checks. When we sell out, you miss out".

      Just make sure you got it in writing with the 2 for 1 price included.

      Sorry GeorgeSr, I was the one who got the two sx230 with another ozbargainer. They wouldn't honor the online price though!!! They marked it up to RRP of $449, I wasn't happy but they wouldn't budge. They did give us a "deal" on the extended warranty at $60 for each camera. Any thoughts on HN's extended warranty? They said I have a week to get refunded on that portion.

      That's the annoying bit, only one person will have the receipt with both cameras on it.
      Should you return it, you need to return both.

      I'm assuming if it's a warranty issue you'll have to just trust the person you're splitting with to still have the receipt and be willing to let you borrow it or something.

    Been playing around with the Olympus XZ-1 and it's great if you want a bit more manual controls. The Sony HX9V is awesome if you want a camera that does most of the thinking. I love the image quality on both of them and I'm very happy with the purchases. Thanks for posting this m0nkeycheese, you're a champ!

    Awesome. Just got the last two new Canon Powershot G12s from Harvey Norman at Auburn. Saw this last night, so decided to wake up earlier this morning. Went to the site and saw that the G12 wasn't part of the sale, and was quite disappointed. Then refreshed the site at around 9:30am and found the G12 was on sale.

    I immediately called up - they said they had two new ones and one display model left of it. I told them to hold two for half an hour. Was there in under 20 minutes, by which time the display model had already been sold. So glad I got in quick.

    My wife went to HN and she got a price - $550 for one or $699 for two for Canon G12. Can HN legitimately ask for higher price than what they are quoting for one camera?
