Increased Spam Calls after Registering for Freedom Family and Friends Sale

Hey guys,

I registered for this Freedom Furniture family and friends deal a few weeks ago: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/554892

And since then (the day after) I've noticed an increased number of spam calls to my mobile. I probably should have entered a fake number facepalm.

Not sure how to go about confirming/denying causality, but has anyone else experienced similar on this particular deal?

I'm even subscribed to Commonwealth bank marketing emails even though I've never been with them for anything. Once a company has your email, they typically do with it as they please
