Switch Battery Discharge Rate

Is it normal for the Nintendo Switch to discharge by about 6-7% a day when not being used. Off. I know batteries normally reduce in power over time, but to me it seems high especially when it's off.

Are other Switch owners having the same rate of battery discharge.

RESOLVED. Switch in sleep mode and rate then similar to others. Thought powered off.

As in completely shutdown or in sleep mode? If its the latter, I'd say it's about right.

    • Was in sleep mode.

      • Yeah, a few % every day in sleep mode is right. Do a complete shutdown if you want to save more battery.
Also I think maybe having a game suspended in the background consumes more power but not 100% sure

        • Good to know. Thanks.

  • Sleep mode yes

You can fully shut it down.
HOLD the power button until the options come up, select POWER OFF

I take my switch to work most days to do my chores in Animal Crossing and if i didnt power it off between uses battery wouldn't last me for sure.

    • Thanks guys. Thought when you just pressed the off button that it was off. Was in sleep mode.

  • Is it completely turned off are the joycons attatched?

    • Was not actually fully turned off. Mee bad
