Edit - deal is back though console will be available post launch. Appears that EB Games are releasing stock every now and then. Note - next batch has a release date of "TBC 2021".

Update: Playstation 5 (with Disk) is now sold out. Digital only edition is still available for pre orders but available post launch.

EB games have just announced this deal on Twitter

Digital edition is $349 when you trade in a PS4 Slim ($599.95 without).

Pre-orders are now open. $200 pre-order deposit. One per person. Console will be available November 12.

    Does anyone have experience trading in consoles bought overseas ( mine is PS4 PRO asia) at EBGAMES ?

    I get conflicting answers from eb regarding this. Message eb games thru twitter and was told they cannot accept but when I called eb games store point cook they told me they will have no problem accepting my unit.

      I think it will come down to the person at the time who processes the trade in. Sounds like the person you spoke to at Point Cook doesn't care so fingers crossed when you do the trade in on the day you get the same person.

      Last time I did a swap deal with EB Games there was a bloke that tried to swap his Ps4 from Dubai for the pro. It was declined

      Heard nothing as well. I only want to pay on the day as I am unsure if I am going to cancel my pre-order. The more I hear about storage, size etc I am losing interest.

        I am really happy as now I can pick up my camera, extra controller, Spiderman+ Miles Morales on the same day…hmmmm still not sure if I want to pick up demon souls. Amazon will delivering my controller charger separately lol.

      Not knowing when in 2021 i was going to get it was killing me.

      Hopefully everyone else can get their shipments bumped up as well.

      Wow lucky you! Just wondering what time you did your pre order. I secured it at 11:19 am but didn't get bumped to launch still says post launch. What's funny is my cousin got his bumped to launch and he ordered at 11:12 am.

      I got the same email yesterday along with two other mates.

      But all 3 of us have just received an email stating that it was a mistake and we are still in our original allocation (2nd batch - post launch). :( :(

    I went to trade on Thursday and ran into similar problems. I would suggest the following:

    1. Keep the trade deals seperate. Insist on two transactions, the first for your console trade in, the second for games and accessories. Not by choice but the staff serving me (a very good staff) tried to save me time and put it all together in one transaction and this led to the initial problem that consoles do not get bonus trade value as part of the double bonus deal. Another problem here is it gets very confusing when you are trying to figure out the value of everything when it's all in one transaction.

    2. If possible be ready with some form of confirmation of the original deals and how much you will expect from the console trade plus ebworld bonus.

    3. If initially they do not offer you the right value be polite and respectful but do not give up so easily and know that you are correct in that the eb world bonus applies on top of the console trade ins (now confirmed by eb games head office as per the earlier post). The issue here is that each store and each staff member may have a different understanding of the deal (although I think this will become better as they process more and more of these deals). In my case it was the second day back for then after the lockdown so fair enough there was some confusion. The fact there were two deals going on added to the confusion.

    4. The final confirmation of your preorder deposit should be on the receipt you get after the trade. Ask them if some how you didn't get it

    No doubt you will all get very different experiences but i hope you all are able to get your trades done as expected. VIC is open now so should be a big weekend for trades.

      I traded in my PS4 slim 1tb, 10 games and 1 extra contrller today, got $369.4 since I am only lever 2. My PS4 was traded at $253, so actually more than the promised $250 value.

    How bad are the game trade in deals these days even with double value? Talking ps3, 360. Ps4 and one games.

      I was really surprised, $330 for PS4 Pro. I buy games on sale, usually between $5-20 and almost all the games I traded I got around equal or more than I paid in the first place. For example, shadow of war $10, shadow colossus $20, GT sport $10. This was trade in value not cash.
