Original OP description:

I THINK it's targeted, but the link https://pages.ebay.com.au/Buyer_coupons/spendandsave1/ shows what save value you get on eligible items. So the Microsoft Australia link on eBay is an eligible item, so it brings it down from $1099 to $999. This is without further calculations when I used a discounted purchase on gift cards and cashback as well…..

(background: I just bought the Samsung S20+ 128GB 5G here as I was umming and ahhing with the Amazon, Officeworks, Catch, etc deals. I checked that using my University account I could get it cheaper with a further 10% and then using savings on gift cards via the OzBargain wiki, BUT… since I had an eBay gift card already from last year, and topped up the rest with newly bought gift cards, I think I spent around $963 in total…? - YMMV).

Would recommend to buy OnePlus 8 Pro from this deal by paying $80 more:

Not really comparable though right? If you wanted the OnePlus in the first place for sure, but you wouldn't go comparing both these phones. The S20+ 5g obviously offers better value for money in this deal

      • Exynos processor in S20+ vs SD in OP8 Pro and 120Hz display even at QHD. You can easily decide which gives better value.

        • 1Plus for geeks, s20+ for consumers

          • +1

@hopper: Whats the different between the two? Geeks knows more and cunsumers are idiot?

            • @ltbonline: well normal consumers care less abt internals and more about warranty, resale and local support. and they would like inspect the phone personally before buying. You can inspect a samsung phone in any retail store unlike OnePlus in australia.

        • Plus also dual SIM support.

          • +1

@dannyboi: Remember having a Sim means you can store more than 2 sim in your phone.
I have 2 esim on my Device. 1 active and other off. i can toggle when needed.

            • +1

@hopper: In my case, it's valuable to have two physical SIM slots for my personal (Boost) and work SIMs.

  • so if I didn't receive the email from ebay, I missed it. right?

    • Likely. I too got nothing.

      • for me this showed up under my ebay activity as a voiucher code, but it expired on the 19th

  • I just bought last one @ $999 . thanks OP

  • Thanks for editing, Mods! :)

  • Anyone know if this targetted deal is available to non eBay Plus members?

    • I got an offer like this in my account and I'm not an ebay plus member.
