Just announced Galaxy S20 FE available in 4G and 5G variants. Comments below note that the 4G variant comes with Exynos 990 processor, whilst the 5G variant comes with Snapdragon 865

Don't forget the $50 voucher when signing up for marketing email. Additionally Samsung EPP has a deal where you get extra 5% off at checkout if your cart has more than $1000 value. Might be good to get an accessory to get it to more than $1k (5% valid until Sep 30)

          What did you get exactly?

          I tried it with the S20 FE 256GB 5G ($999.20)
          Add $50 voucher = $949.20

          Now, it looks like you have to add an item that brings the total to $1000 to get the 5% off.

          If you add the USB-C to 3.5mm adaptor (now $15.96) it is still <$1000 you don't get the 5% off. Total $965.16.

          If you add a more expensive cover ie. $71.20, you get the 5% off. Total $966.88. Which is (999.20 + 71.20) less 5% = $1016.88, less $50 = $966.88.

          It says in the cart summary that you get both:
          "Thank you for signing up to Samsung Electronics Marketing emails. Your $50 promotion code has been applied to your order.
          Your 5% discount has been applied to your order.

      Exact same decisions. Same tradein phone (S10+ 128GB).
      S10+ is still an excellent phone with WQHD display, Gorilla 6 glass, latest One UI 2.5 update, Exynos works fast enough for me.
      Still in great condition but 18months of heavy usage with full recharge at least once a day and a couple of drops with no visible damage
      $590 changeover with free buds live is appealing considering new phone with 2yr warranty & 3yr software updates, new bigger battery, probably better cameras, faster phone with Snapdragon and better memory, etc etc Sounds like I'm talking myself into it!

      Which did you go for?

    Wonder of I could trade in the S3 or S4? Probably those are too old. Getting even just $1 for one of them would get the extra $200.

      There's an area on the Samsung website where you can select what phone you're thinking of trading in (including non-Samsung phones) and it gives you an estimate based on the phone being in decent condition.

      The always on display is supposed to replace that.

      But if you want something that mimics it, there are a bunch of third party apps that basically turn the hole punch cutout into a notification led.

    If I go the 256gig version and add a case and headphone adaptor I get the 5% discount applied then I try and put in the $50 voucher and it says it is applied but the price goes up $2

    If you have a family or friend at telco, you get a HUGE discount on the Samsung s20 FE

    My friend works at Telstra and told me about the promotion yesterday.

    They only have the 6gb/128gb 5g versions for $575 for the promotion to staff. That is normally $1149

    So half price. Just shows you the actual cost of the phone with that big a profit margin.

    I read on a USA forum yesterday this phone was actually due in July but it was delayed for many reasons, and Samsung want to move tons of stock before the new models are launched in Feb 2021, (Samsung s30 or s21 ) hence the big give aways everywhere with trade ins and Buds live being given away.

    Anyway good luck to the telco staff and family getting the SE FE 5G model for $575.

    I am struggling with the case. Chat with Samsung and was told the FE doesn't come with case. Samsung's case costs $39. Too expensive. Ebay has few local options only. 17.99. Other cases are selling from overseas. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Does it mean I will use FE without protection for a month before I get the cheap case?

        I just ordered the phone, will ship at 8/10. I just hope from now on until 8/10, the eBay local seller will get the case in stock. LOL.
        If until 7/10 there is no case for sale from local eBay seller I will order Samsung case then.

        Also, I bought the Care+, if I damaged the phone I will swap from Samsung. Chat with Samsung the swap phone is not brand new anyway.

          I think inclusions may differ between regions as don't believe people in the US get a clear case with the normal S20. But would be awesome if Australia does get both for the FE!

            Purchased it in white though so perhaps the colour was in stock.
            Very surprised when it turned up since wasn't expecting until 9th of October.

            Just ordered a case from the Samsung store now, so hopefully that comes just as fast.

              @ttl: Not uncommon. I ordered a monitor once that wasn't expected to ship for weeks, and it showed up very early (delivered by a massive truck that couldn't park near our office).

              I have found the cases that come with phones for free to be not so good - the transparent ones turn yellow quickly. Given that this phone has a plastic back, I probably wouldn't bother with a case. Am currently on the fence about getting the FE 5G as a replacement for my Huawei phone.

        I saw that ebay seller with the samsung s20 FE….. I have my serious doubts by the way about that sale. It is a UK plug. The seller has only 1 sale in the last 12 months and the buyer never received the item, so I suspect it is a fraud, as even the telstra staff as of yesterday did not have a phone in Australia.
        And PS Samsung Australia did confirm to me the samsung s20 FE does have a clear case included.

    I ended up going for the Snapdragon version of the S20 FE which is any of the 5G models. The 128GB one has 6GB RAM and the 256GB one has 8GB. I bought it on the public store because I have a Note 8 to trade in and they have a trade in and a Buds Live promo. If pre-ordering today (ends midnight) you can get $200 extra on trade-ins plus the pre-order Galaxy Buds Live. After trading in my Note 8 I will be paying $784 for the $1250 retail 256GB version, and I guess I could sell the Buds for around $200 if I don't decide to keep them.

    Optus is offering the 128 GB 5G version for the same price as the 4G ($999) with the free earbuds, and you can pay it off over the usual 12, 24, or 36 months. Not the best deal, but decent for my circumstances without an eligible trade in phone for the Samsung website. Got one sorted out over chat.

        Long story. Was on a contract about to end. Optus offered to end the contract early for free and put me on the Optus Choice (large) plan with a $10/month discount. I got that sorted first. Then a week later I went back to them for this phone and that's the deal I was offered straight up without any bargaining required. Pretty decent deal, includes earbuds and interest free repayments. Actually works out cheaper than the one I replaced (Mate 20 Pro) with more data.
