Hey guys, have organised a deal on the S2721DGF with Dell. This will be via the Dell website and coupons are good for 500 units. This is a measure to control amount of orders so you can get your monitors in a timely manner and avoid extensive delays. If you miss out there will be another deal toward end of oct.

Note: I noticed the S2721DGF 2.3 rating via the dell website. A majority of low ratings are due to shipping delays. The initial deal was due to 2 coupons which weren't meant to stack, Dell chose to honour this but it caused shipping delays.   • Mine was dispatched last night via Star Track and showing a delivery date of 30/09. Wow - super quick.

    I've found putting the tracking number into Auspost gets much better tracking. Startrack doesn't show it beyond Sydney but Auspost shows it processed in Brisbane this morning.

    • Nice find mate! StarTrack is absolutely bizarre for me - I live 35km north of Brisbane yet all my Star Track packages go to Nambour (about 75km north of me) which means quite often they run out of time to deliver it to me on day's it is loaded for delivery :(

    Shipped yesterday as well - in Sydney. Got message from StarTrack its coming in today! Woohoo!

  • I seem to have had my order bungled!

    I added to cart with the coupons, saw the price at $510.57 and received the authorisation alert from the Commbank app for that amount and confirmed sale at 5:07pm on Friday.. but $836.07 is pending on my account and the invoice is for the higher amount. Dell support doesn't seem to understand, they just said 'no the coupon has been used'.

      Don't bother with chat support - give them a call and they'll sort you out

    • What Hinee said. Chat support is global and they aren't all aware of au Dell promotions. If you call you will get customer care au and they have the ability to assist you.

    So I've been using my screen for a couple of hours now and have found one thing that's really irking me. Both edges seem considerably darker than the middle of the screen for about 40cm. anyone else notice the same?

      There is I think, When you open a blank white background, you can see it pretty clearly

    • Yes, same for me. Some vignette was mentioned in a review I saw but I expected it to exist only in the corners.
      This is each side, top to bottom. It's quite noticeable in a web browser, but not otherwise. Not too sure if it's really a deal breaker.

        Yeah it's really only noticeable on a white browser screen, with something like Discord open it's fine. For an $800 screen I'm not very chuffed…

        • Well, I mean, we didn't pay $800-900.

          For me, given the other benefits/features, I think it's something I can get used to, once I stop casting a critical eye over everything.

          If others end up reporting the same thing I guess we can conclude it's a design problem and not worth the trouble of trying to exchange for a different panel.

    • How far from the monitor are you sitting?

      I've got a 27GL850 which is a similar panel and it's quite obvious that the edges are slightly darker when my face is near the screen. At normal viewing distance (just over an arm's length for me), a white background looks completely uniform.

    • Call Dell customer care au if you haven't, they are usually good at organising exchange.

  • I am having trouble with Dell honouring the price, even with the PayPal email amounting to $510.57. I've been on the phone 3 times today with them. Each time I've only been able to connect with the Dell Singapore/Malaysia team. I received an Internet Receipt Number but no other order confirmation when I submitted the deal with the 2 coupons last Friday.

    Is there a specific number or person with Dell Australia that anyone can point me to? Or any way to resolve this? :)

    • Similar problem, charged $837, but I only received a push authorisation from my banking app so I cannot even prove it.

      Hope we can get this sorted out.

      • Yeah, this is the same situation as me, they say my Internet Receipt Number only shows the "Super7" coupon being redeemed which only brings the price down to ~$830, and they dont see the other coupon being redeemed… but I have the PayPal email that shows $510.57 being requested from Dell Australia.

      • Don't stress about this guys, Dell has told me they will process the orders, it's just a bug with Paypal and their systems. There are about 40 customers affected.

      Text is super clear for me running at native resolution and 100% scaling in Windows

  • Damn the delivery was quick! But the packaging was awful… just one sticky tape that secured the box, and when I cut it open, there was an avalanche of cables. Won’t be able to use the monitor tho until the pre ordered rtx 3080 arrives probs in November cause of the recall 😕

      This guy suggest 'super fast' due to bad inverse ghosting at extreme.

    Hi guys,

    Has anyone had issues with their order? I paid via Paypal and got the confirmation email from Paypal but nothing from Dell. No emails. It was my fault as I had checked out as a guest account… :( I can't find any order number or anything so I can't track my order status.

      This was due to a technical bug at Dell. Dell assures me the orders will go through and they are working on resolving this so that users get their confirmation emails and tracking. There are currently about 40 users who experienced this. Be patient and it will be resolved.

      • First of all thanks LiMaaa for negotiating this offer (and upcoming ones too!). I am in the same batch where Paypal emailed me on the payment but I got no confirmation in my Dell profile or via email. I thought my order was as good as gone since I forgot to record the order number after paying.

        Looks like there might be some hope after all and let's hope Dell gets back to the ones with a similar case like mine soon. Thanks again for the update.

    I also just received the same monitor and it has a very yellow tint to it. Anyone else experienced this? I am considering returning it for an exchange. Left is the new Dell S2721DGF, noticed the same thing when comparing it to my laptop monitor.

      yeah i agree, i had to play with all the hue etc to match what i am use too =)

    • May just be the factory calibrated hue. Mine matched my u2415h quite well with what I'm used to. I didn't notice a yellow tint on my specific monitor. Play with the hue options.

      Mine also had the yellow tint out-of-the-box. I had to play around with the RGB gain values to get it down to a cooler white i.e. currently sitting at R: 86 G: 90 B: 100.

      Also, does anyone else notice that the bottom right quadrant of the screen tends to hold a warmer colour regardless of calibration? Not sure if it's defective, just my eyes or is expected.. but overall I'm quite happy with the product.

  • Hey guys, just wanted to ask about bleed/glow. I'm noticing in the bottom left there is a noticeable lightness and shift in colour (not too dissimilar to looking at a TN from off centre).
    The image shows something similar in the top corners but in use this isn't noticeable.

    I'm surprised how noticeable this is in use. Would someone with more experience with IPS monitors mind chiming in on whether this appears a bit excessive? Cheers

      That bleed looks extreme, but then again I thought u were running a YouTube yellow theme, so I'm not sure if it's the camera quality or what. Sometimes monitors need to level out, so leave it on for a day or so and see if it fades, otherwise that may be a qc issue. Can wait for others opinions before you form a judgement tho.

        • Hi @Perch Received mine today and it looks similar to yours with the glow in all 4 corners. Using a black test screen in a dark room I have to say it's definitely not enough to bother me and in comparison to your sample image, yours does look slightly worse than mine but as you said that could just be the photo.
          After reading your post and the others mentioning the yellow tint out of box I was starting to feel a little concerned but I have to say from the moment I powered my pc up any concerns disappeared….The output of this monitor is absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to revisit my games. Very happy camper indeed :).

      Looks about the same as mine mate. Unfortunately all IPS panels have some degree of IPS glow - you can always play the panel lottery again and ask for a replacement but it might be better or worse.

    Anyone else get theirs delivered and sit looking at the box wondering if you should actually open it? There was nothing wrong with my previous setup, yet here we are.
