And how do you know I aint Chinese? heh

That literally wouldn't make it any better.

            Agreed !!! heh

Banggood is very legit. Been using them over the last few years. I bought heaps of stuff from them including xiaomi phones and cheap tablets for the kids. 2 week shipping and really good after sale service. One of the tablets I bought for the kids had a few issues but still very useable. They issued a refund straight away, without headaches and let me keep the tablet. I recommend them.

      • -2

We are gonna find out when and if ANY OR BOTH of my orders arrive in full!!!

Right now after their delaying tactics on stock….not too confident

    • i would say more legit than aliexpress but obviously everyone have their own experiences.

  • "has already received 4 firmware updates via OTA." Does this mean soon EOL? How many more are included with purchase now?

    • +4

According to the video, expect none (was lucky to have four).

  • I wonder how this compares to the Teclast P10HD.

    • Build wise its better than P10HD as it more robust. I had P10HD in the past, the volume and power buttons were so flimsy that everytime I touch it that im worried it will break even first time out of box.

I did some in-depth research between this and P20HD as they all the same specs just different brand and outer skin. Theres a korean youtuber actually compare alldocube iplay20 with p20hd and fire hd. CPU performance wise fire hd slightly better than other 2, alldocube come 2nd. Alldocube comes first on the display between those 2 and its more brighter. Only downside, brightness below 70% doesnt see much change.

  • +1

Thanks, got one. Had my eye on this since watching TechTablets review of it which suggests it's good performance and build for the price. Will mainly use it for media consumption and web browsing so not too worried about having the latest and greatest specs. Looking forward to the bigger screen.

    • +1

      You won't regret it.

Banggood is very Dodgy with it's promotions I wouldn't recommend them anymore. I purchased phone in buy 1 get 1 free promotion tab. I even confirmed with customer service chat 1 chat 2. But I only received 1 phone not 2 as per promotion or customer service. Even paypal didn't do anything.

    • I have a very "if it seems too good to be true, then it likely is" approach for banggood.

    • +2

Maybe reach out to Clear to sort it out. That’s a rubbish experience and he/she is pretty good as the middleman.

      • +2

Contrary to popular belief I don't have any extra fancy channels with Banggood. I just scrape their coupons and share.

It would be a different story for the stores I'm associated with.

    • My only guess would be perhaps you were meant to add 2 of the item to your cart, then it would discount the order by that amount.

      • +2

I did try adding two items to the cart but it wouldn't get discounted that is why I had to clarify with CS. As per CS I only needed to order 1 item and 2nd item would've been added at their warehouse. Now when I escalation the dispute they act dumb and say my order has been delivered and totally ignore the fact I purchased item in promotion. They happy to take return given I pay for shipping + custom and handling charges. PayPal says the same that order has been delivered and asked me to escalate it to the Credit card company. It's been a month since my product was delivered and I havent even opened it just in case I may have to return it. What I wanted to point out in here was that if something goes wrong with your order, no one is going to support you

Son - "Mum can we get an ipad?"

& you can iPlay with 5 for the same price

  • Looking for a media tablet for my young daughter for longer car trips (she's only 11months) to watch Netflix and stuff on. Would this be a good option, I havent got alot of good experience with droid tablets but if this will be snappy enough and be able to maintain access to core apps like Netflix, YT and maybe some ABC kids stuff that would be ideal. Most times probably just tether it from my phone when driving.

    • Yeah should be good for your kid. This review got me interested in this tablet TechTablets

    • +6

11 months old will sleep all the time during long trips ..

    • +1

SD only on netflix but otherwise great value for media consumption

      • Is there any possible way to get around that?

        • no pretty sure there is some tax you have to pay google to use that standard, for alldocube's market most ppl have no use for it

    • +1

Don't make this mistake. We live 55 minutes out of town and my kids would drive 30 minutes with the missus to school and we decided no tablets or phones. Once you start its hard to stop.

Why did I get downvoted for asking a question, what the heck?

      • +1

        They're called stupid people.

      • +1

        Lots of assholes

  • Any recommendation for the case? I'll buy it together from BG if it's available.

    • They sell exact fit case on banggood but the problem it send from china. I'm still waiting for the case that I bought from them >w<

    • +1

I'd recommend this one I got (which I assume is the same one Meaty is talking about). Clip on plastic back, least bulky one I could find. Only thing I could complain about is the buttons are very close to the cutout and makes it slightly awkward to press the power button, minor issue though.

A cheaper option is something like this with TPU back, didn't like the extra bulk of it though as is another layer of case stuck to the back.

Then there is this type, don't like these as the tablet tends to slide around a little in them (and I don't like cases that wrap around the front)

  • +1

All price below based on banggood app that I monitor daily >w< (no coupon or allowance needed), if you had allowance the price will drop further.
    9/9 Tablet price was ~AUD$158 + shipping = ~AUD$160 (ship from china)
10/9 to 15/9 Price gone back to original price of ~AUD$172 incl shipping (ship from china)
16/9 to 24/9 Price gone up to ~AUD$178 delivered (ship from AU warehouse)
25/9 till now Price gone up to ~AUD$194 delivered (AU warehouse) | ~AUD$176 delivered (CN warehouse)

If you dont mind waiting 2-3 weeks, get from CN warehouse and use the extra saving to buy the case which around ~AUD$20 delivered.

    • original price was $159aud? ….so price has been jacked up!

      • if you notices these kind of store, banggood gearbest aliexpress, all their prices are in usd. I would say there might be some promotion and the currency fluctuation

        • +2

Thats correct. It's not smart of Meaty to keep track of prices in AUD as this would have been cheaper if shared a week ago for the same USD price.

      • +1

no… it was $159 shipped from china.
        $176 from Australia.
You're paying the extra to have it within 7 days rather than 21-45

  • Tbh if you check aliexpress official store it is kind of same price when factored in case and screen protector. Standalone tablet is abit better but not much. Only good thing is you get it quick as it's from au warehouse.

    • +1

Screen protector is free! They come one pre-install xD better than I install myself.

      • yes but there are prints on screen protector, I had to remove it.

  • +1

Is it cheaper on the app? I ended up paying $198 :S

    • +1

      Nevermind, I got it fixed!

  • Is this better than the Samsung galaxy a tab 10.1 2019 performance wise?

    • +4

Not really. CPU's much slower at single core and a little slower at multicore. It has more RAM though.

  • Could this cope with fortnite? Kids play it on my iPad Air 2 so be good if this could manage it

    • +1

It's not a particularly performance oriented product.
It probably wouldnt be better than that ipad.
You would get better gaming performance out of a similarly priced chinese phone, but if it has to be a tablet, there's not really any alternatives as far as I know

  • +1

Might be dumb, but can I use this as a phone?

I could go one of these for Remote Play and xCloud streaming tbh, and my old BlackBerry is having the odd issue so it wouldn't hurt to have as a backup if the BB decides to shit the bed.

    • +2

      Yes

      • Sick, I reckon I might grab one. Cheers.

        • Yes. they call it phablet. phone + tablet.

          • @usmanyousaf: I'm aware of phablets.

This however, is referred to as a tablet, and thus, the confusion appeared.

  • Nothing can beat mi max phones, maybe the price tho (ノ•̀ o •́ )ノ ~ ┻━┻

  • Bought one. Thanks for making me poorer, OP.

  • +1

Not sure what i'm doing wrong.

I have the tablet in my cart. I checkout but when i put in the code it says "this code only works with certain products".

edit: Even without the code I'm getting $123.05

Edit 2: Possibly OOS? Not getting the ship from AU option.

    • +1

AU stock sold out, I got the last one about 30 minutes ago. Before selling out they price jacked from US$124 to US$134. I paid AU$198.

      • Ah thanks for that!

        I snooze i lose…

      • hundreds still available…it's not a bargain anyway.

        • No, there weren't. They were all coming from China.

      • Edit: cancelled my order because I noticed on the order form that they were shipping it from China not Australia as advertised. Used the chat portal to query the order and was told that Australian stock was sold out. False advertising. Dodgy people.

        • +2

It's on sale frequently and I think I used the same code months ago. Ended up only costing 160ish

  • +1

Bought this from last BG deal but have issues with YouTube. When skipping to next video it plays in 144p max or with corrupted video.

This is the behaviour: https://drive.google.com/file/d/11cvUpIrsUs80CdM0bqspm9H8v2f… can others that have this tablet test theirs?

    • +1

Yep, same but I can't stand the ads so use Newpipe anyway. Maybe that will do as a workaround?

      • I have Indian YouTube premium for cheaps but will try newpipe

    • Did you figure it out? I'm seeing the same behavior as well.

      • +2

First boot. Went into youtube without updating it. Plays fine. Skips to next video to as high a res it thinks it can play back. You can then change res to whatever else is available up to 1080p.

Proceeded to update youtube. Experienced what you had. Videos play back at a locked in unchangeable low res.

Solution. Uninstall youtube so it reverts to old version.

      • Spoke too soon. Had to uninstall youtube again.

        • Yeah that's one of the first things I tried but it didn't work permanently.

          • @TheAccountant: Hope this gets fixed soon as tablet ain't bad for what it is and the price.

The tablet is plenty capable with the bonus of having lte.

            • @xoom: Agreed, it's a great tablet but only the YouTube issue is stopping me from recommending it to others at this point.

              • @TheAccountant: Was going to give this to my bother who's only use is youtube and this will likely frustrate him.

If only youtube vanced did not suffer the same issue.

    • I experienced the same first go on my alldocube iplay20 pro. Uninstalled youtube which reverted it back to the original version. Skipping videos played back to as high a res as it thinks it can play.

Installing/upgrading youtube again. Now videos intermittently playing in such low res and can't change it. Had to revert.

      • Ok thanks, will uninstall updates for yt

  • Can we install a different OS like lineage on this Tab ?

    • +2

      Nope, not a snapdragon

  • One question: Would this support xCloud? If so, for that price it’s a ripper.

  • +2

I bought a cheap tablet from Banggood that had really good specs. It was complete trash and I sold it after a week.

If you can piece together the extra money for a galaxy tab a or equivalent you would be better off. I know the galaxy tab costs hundreds more.

  • +1

Everytime there is a good deal, it's " Out of Stock"

    • +1

The last thing I do before sleeping is check OzBargain 😉

    • there are hundreds and hundreds always available…not a bargain anyway…it's the normal price.

      • Nope.

        • what no?

  • +2

What about this, still in stock with geekbuy
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/565212

    • +1

Naturally I'm going to say that is also a good deal 😉

    • Thanks for that. Just bought one from there for $179.

  • +2

For those who are interested in purchasing a screen protector for this tablet. It is the same dimensions as Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019). It will fit perfectly. I have the pro version of this tablet, and can say that it's a solid performer for the $220 (or so), that I paid for it in August from Banggood. Pros: screen (IPS, fully laminated, good brightness, good touch response), Band 28. Android 10 (even if never will get updates), performance (compared to similar price), dual-SIM support Cons: camera, sound (loud, but only ok), no HDMI out, or face/finger unlocking, no fast charging. Overall, this is the best tablet for general use at this price range IMHO, not for games, but excellent screen.

  • I just received my order today. My first impression the tab is pretty good. Now is looking for the case.

    • Same, any luck?

  • Received my tablet 4/10 and everything is great. Does a solid job for browsing OzBargain and reading the news. Haven't set up Netflix yet but Prime Video is limited to SD which I'm fine with for the price.

The only issue I'm having is that YouTube seems to drop the resolution to 144p after watching a few videos and there's no option to change resolution to 1080p again. I've uploaded the debug log for anyone who wants to have a look https://pastebin.com/4269UGAx

    • +2

Seems to be an issue with the current version as a few have reported it. I'll dig up some contacts at Alldocube and let them know as they do release firmware updates.

      • Thanks. I got in touch with YouTube support over chat a the rep said that the tablet is officially supported and that they would pass along the log to their engineers. Hope Alldocube can come up with a solution

      • its a great tablet just marred with the youtube issue. If this issue can be fixed I can recommend this tablet to others as its specs are decent.

  • Hi OP, any idea when this deal will come back again?

    • +1

It's been cheaper than the deal without any promo code for a few weeks now. Bonus cashback too by not using a promo code.
