Might be worth putting the annual fee in the title, as it's not insignificant

    • Done! Thanks

    • Especially as ANZ have done this twice in the past 12 months : "ANZ Frequent Flyer Black Visa: Bonus 120K Qantas Points + $275 Cashback (Spend $4,000 in 3 Months), $425 Annual Fee". I'm in the exclusion period currently anyway, but even if I wasn't, personally I'd hold off for that to come round again.

Also has a 'rewards fee' of $55

      Per cardholder!

      • Can't believe I fell for this before but I'm glad they were able to reverse it upon calling up.

    • The $55 is included in the $425

  • annual fee $425

  • Annual fee and/or rewards fee waived with Breakfree package?

    • -1

      I don’t think so.

    • +1

yes it is waived with breakfree package

      • +1

If it went through the breakfree package, the 100,000 QF points promotion should not be applicable. Isn't it?

        • good point.. maybe apply the card first and then go breakfree and they will waive the fees :D

        • +1

I’ve heard of people signing up as normal, getting the points, and then adding the card to their package and getting a refund on the annual fee.

        • -2

Not really. The bonus points are still applicable

        • My bad. If the promotion is applicable, this is definitiely worth of try.

      • yes it is waived with breakfree package

Only the annual fee was waived for me. I got slugged with rewards fees for the 2 cards

    • Eligible Credit Card Account” means an ANZ Platinum, ANZ Low Rate, ANZ Rewards Platinum, ANZ Rewards Black, ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum, ANZ Frequent Flyer Black or ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures credit card account, or any other ANZ credit card account which ANZ, in its discretion, determines to be an Eligible Credit Card Account.

But they still charge the $55 rewards fee.

    • I applied for this recently and will link to my Breakfree package after I get my bonus QF points

      • when do they charge the fees though , is it at the end of the year

        • Immediately but once you attach it to your Breakfree package, they will refund you the annual fee they charged you

          • @DevlicK: Thank you , will the 100,000 points be added or will they not do it after the BreakFree is added please

            • @otter-raptor: Only attach it to the BreakFree package after you received your 100,000 points. You won't get the bonus points if you attach it befoe

  • This is only good for those who are on ANZ BreakFree package. They can earn the bonus points and these fees won't be charged for them. For others, not much of a deal.

  • Given the current flying climate, I would say it is not the best value with the annual fee. If it didn't have the annual value or a lower one then it would have been great.
