Masterbuilt Gravity Fed 560 Grill and Smoker $1059 Free click and Collect @ Harvey Norman

120

Almost as good as the launch price, I had just purchased one from barbeques galore for $1099 then came across this, hopefully some Ozbargainers can enjoy!

Mixed reviews on the build quality but for the price I am happy to take the gamble but hang on to the receipt.

Make sure you don't use anything combustible in or near that wood pallet grill.

Pellet deals people say to buy gravity fed.
Gravity fed deals people say to buy pellet.

Please stop confusing me. I just want to eat meat.

      • Haha i just went with a kamado and it's bloody amazing. Make a snake. Light up one end. Bung in some hof, 6h later its done!

Gravity fed of course. Pellets are for rabbits.

      • I "smoke" brisket using nitrite, charcoal powder and liquid smoke in the oven lol.

Maybe one day I'll invest in a pellet

        • where do you buy the nitrite and charcoal powder from?

    • +2

      Pellet grill convenience, charcoal benefits.

Gravity fed over a pellet grill any day of the week.

  • Thats a seriously heavy smoker

  • How is Harvey normals with after sales support?

I hear BBQs galore is excellent, might want to get them to price match or beat.

  • This or a $30 weber kettle from gumtree?

    • Depends how much/often you're gonna smoke.

Big kettle might be able to fit a 6kg brisket max, any more you'd need a bigger smoker.

    • Def gumtree. You can get 300 for the price of one of this

    • Good luck finding one for $30

  • I got this from BBQ galore for $1,000 when it first launched a few months ago.
Best smoker I have ever owned. Fill the hopper with charcoal, chuck a fire lighter underneath, close the doors and set the temp. Comes up to temp within 10 mins and remains constant throughout the entire cook. Worth the money.

  • I was at bbq galore today and didn't see the masterbuilt, but the salesman was suggesting a Weber smokefire and talked it up big time saying that the 2nd gen model was up for pre order and he couldn't speak highly enough about it. That one is $2000 which is a bit steep for me.. then I seen this deal… can anyone offer any advice on how this masterbuilt would compare to the weber smokefire as im knew to this stuff?
