Western Digital WDS200T2B0A 2TB 2.5in SATA SSD, $249 + Shipping (Free Pickup) @ Umart

Decent deal IMO if you are looking for a 2tb sata ssd WITH DRAM and don't want to occupy a valuable m.2 slot for nvme speed.

According to Tomshardware it has dram: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/western-digital-blue-ss...

Edit: If anyone has evidence that these ssds are now being produced dramless let us know and I will update, I have not found any info yet

  • Any good as a secondary laptop drive for photo/video storage in a laptop? Will also have an external backup drive they are transferred to for safety.

    • If you expose your laptop to shock, then yes. Otherwise a laptop HDD would be cheaper and do the same job.

The SSD will use less power as well, so that's a small plus for battery life.

A good price but pick up is not possible as some stores are closed, (Hurstville N.S.W.). Post at $10 therefore is the only option & card payments add to the cost…

    • yeah their Broadway shop is also closed

  • Good deal, got one, I don't know if they are DRAM-less or not, but copying over 500GB did not experience slowdown like a Samsung EVO does once it's cache is full.

  • That toms hardware review is for an older revision - 1TB and 2TB in the more recent models don't have dram: https://www.techarp.com/reviews/1tb-wd-blue-3d-ssd-review/

That isn't to say this drive is bad; Wouldn't mind grabbing one of these for my PS5.
