Got any of them deals on 5MP and 8MP domes? I'm addicted and need more!

    • Why don’t buy hikvision hilook 6mp for 4 cameras plus 4K 104mh recorder and 1TB WD hard disk only for $576 +GST?

  • I think there is a better deal on the Reolink website:
    https://reolink.com/product/rlk8-520d4/

That is the same kit, but with all dome cameras, for US$314.99 - that is roughly ~AU$430

    • The NVR is slightly different, the one on this deal is compatible with 4K cameras

        Are you sure??
The one in my link is RLN8-410, seems to be the same as the one in this deal….

Furthermore, from the Amazon link description:
        Flexible Operation
The 5MP PoE NVR works perfectly with all Reolink 5MP and 4MP PoE IP cameras and WiFi cameras, providing users with enough flexibility for 24/7 recording, motion detection alerts, live views, playbacks, and many other beneficial features.

Just want to make sure people are aware and do not buy thinking they would be able to add 4k cameras.

Only $337 on their eBay store. They have 5 left.

      • +2

It actually comes down to $303 with an extra 10% off that gets automatically applied at checkout. Thanks for the link, for that price I bought one.
Just FYI it still says 5 available even though I bought one, and I can see others have bought them in the past 30 mins, so the 5 remaining thing is probably a lie.

Back up to $449 glad I didn't wait

@Rec: Oh wow, I guess that price was a mistake, lucky us!

  • Hi, Can anyone please share their experience on installing this system?, especially with running the Cat5 cables? Do you need a licensed professional to do this job?
    Thank you

    • If you know what you are doing then it is perfectly fine to diy the network cable runs (but I'd still suggest to check your local building code).

      • I think all I know is I need to run the cable "somehow" to the cameras without knowing the details as I haven't done this before. I might to have to look up some videos.
Thank you for your advice on checking the building code.

        • +2

Yeah if the building code allows it, then all you have to do is run the cables from point A to B (generally done through wall and roof cavity) and connect.
Just remember that if your cable is exposed to direct sunlight then it will deteriorate over time and for such a case you have to get an outdoor rated cat5 or cat6 cable.

It's very easy to do a self install with this system.

  • Can anyone owning these is the 1080p good enough or is it worth waiting for a 4K deal?

    • +1

Those are 5Mpx, so the resolution is 2560x1920 (2.4 times better than 1080p).
I am quite happy with it.

  • Any deal on RLC-410 5MP camera please?
    Was AUD$50.43 before
