  This unit is missing a optical out, so if you want to use it with hifi system,. you will have to use coax/hdmi/analog

    Good pickup, should be no difference between coax digital (RCA) and optical though. Unless of course your receiver doesn't have spar coax inputs (usually it has more of these and less optical - depending on age).

    Good deal for budget multi-region Blu-ray player.

  Thanks OP - went and bought 1.
  The kids needed a new DVD player for upstairs and this will do the job nicely.
  It does say it's region free for DVD but not Blu-ray

  Only running it through RCA's until the ezyhd hdmi's arrive :)
  Looks ok and is networkable.

  Won't upscale anything that is encrypted though, so upscaling is really only for home videos etc, not commercially purchased.

    I got one yesterday

    Its region free for DVD
    and with Blu ray, you are able to select the region to suit the Blu ray you are playing

  Just bought one, seems to work well! Played UK DVDs and Blu Rays with no problems! (All my Amazon.co.uk purchases haha)

  Good Guys were happy to let it go for $75.50 without haggling.

  Still wondering whether I can be bothered signing up for Quikflix 1 month free…

    I got one of these yesterday at Wetherill Park.
    Advertised at $78 - got it for $75 plus 1 month free Quickflix movies … great deal … great pickup … thanks!!!!
