  • Wife has been wanting to jump ship from Apple to Android…. She likes my Galaxy Note 9, anybody with this phone have feedback? Will it do the job?

    • I don't think jumping from Apple to a budget Xiaomi phone is likely a great experience but it also depends on what does your wife want. This is snappy enough with SD720G being mid range SoC (faster than SD730G and close to SD765), good battery life (better than iPhone 12 and 12 Pro for sure), decent screen with HDR10 support and 616 nits LCD, enough RAM and storage (64GB but expandable with SD Card). There are however bloatware and you need to turn off ads in Xiaomi Apps.

      • It would be a bashed iPhone 6 or 7? I think. I'm presuming this will be an upgrade plus a different UI to keep her busy for a bit.

I'm also thinking of not being a total tight a** and going with a better supported/cleaner phone.

Thank you for the reply, gives me somethings to consider while I sleep on it!

        • If your wife like big screen phone then this should be a decent change with its large screen. It's fluid enough that while I can't guarantee it will be faster than iPhone 7, it won't disappoint.

I'm fairly sure they updated Widevine L1 on this so it should be able to stream in HD and HDR too.
