Ryzen 7 3700X | RTX 3070 Gaming PC [B450 Aorus/16GB 3200/650B]: $1688 + Delivery @ TechFast

2481
3700X-3070-BFCM

This is our big one for BF/CM. AMD have supported us for a once off R7-3700X at R5-3600 price for this deal and Galax and Gigabyte have chipped in to bring us $200 under the PCPP comparison. Feel like it stacks up pretty well price-wise against the Dell 3070 system, with plenty of upgrade options available as always.

Ryzen 7 3700X / RTX 3070 8GB Gaming PC: $1688 after 3700X-3070-BFCM

  • Ryzen 7 3700X 8c/16t processor
  • Galax SG MSI Ventus 2X RTX 3070 8GB GPU (Gigabyte Eagle and Ventus upgrade available) - updated 28/11)
  • Gigabyte B450M Aorus Elite motherboard (lots of upgrades including MSI Pro-VDH WiFi and X570 Aorus Elite WiFi). If the Giga B450M sells out (loads available) the Biostar B550 is also the same price.
  • 16GB 3200MHz RAM (brand/model may vary)
  • 240GB 2.5" SSD (for those bringing own storage, or upgrades available; brand/model may vary)
  • Gigabyte P650B 650W 80 Plus Bronze PSU (750 Gold and 850 Gold available)
  • Lance-V RGB 4 Fan ATX case - details/specs

The below cover entry level, budget, sub-$1000, 1440P and high tier deals. If you have any other BFCM spec requests let me know and I'll see what we can do; RTX 3080, RX 6000 series and Zen 3 chips deals are not possible. RTX 2070/S and 2080/S are end of life too.

Other BFCM deals

Cheers
Luke

you are really better off just buying an NVME drive and popping it in yourself. then you get a free 240gb drive too!

  • +5

where is virco & Titan Tech? awfully quiet these days and it's nearly Black Friday.

    • Probably no stock, they only post in stock deals i think

  • +1

is it correct the 1tb nvme ssd is 50% more expensive than previous build? other seems to be similar, just wondering.
    159 vs 109.
    https://techfast.com.au/products/amd-ryzen-5000-series-zen-3…

    • That one is a 240NVME m.2, this is a 2.5".

      • i see. both description is written as m2

        3080 build
        1TB m.2 NVME SSD [Requires Min. B450/B360 Motherboard] $109.00

        this build
1TB m.2 NVME SSD [Requires Minimum B450/H410 Motherboard Purchase] $159.00

        • +2

Sorry, the starting point is different. The 3080 build starts with a 240 NVME drive, which costs more. Therefore the upgrade cost is lower.
The 3070 build starts with a 240 2.5" SATA drive, which costs less. Therefore the upgrade cost is higher.

  • I was going to wait until tomorrow to compare deals, but now I'm not so sure. Should I pull the trigger?

    • +2

I'm gonna wait, who knows what we'll see

    • i'll wait for Sydney based sellers to come to table

  • Will the package come with the original accessories that come with the motherboard, graphics card etc (e.g. the Galax SG card has an RGB plastic strip and extra clip on fan in the box)?

Been on the hunt for a 3070 and a 3700X, this deal is too good to pass up.

    • +1

Yep, everything not used in the build. We have been installing the extra fan on pretty much every build, and including the LED bar in the accessories box. But we don't include all packaging, to be clear.

      • all good don't care about the packaging, that would be ridiculous for shipping costs. Thanks!

        • You just nailed why we don't send it.

        • Nope, PCCG just uses the normal item folds, flatens them and slides them in the box along with everything else, no big deal.

  • Now to convince my boss I need a 3070.

    • +2

      is that you, Adrian?

      • +5

        No this is Patrick

      • Busted!

      • Well, I hope Adrian managed to get his PC….

        • but i just approved the reimbursement …

  • Give us the option to change the case and I'm yours

  • Sorry for the further pestering Qs but is there any cheaper shipping option? $37 seems like a lot to Melbourne…if there wasn't so much uncertainty about the border I'd be happy to pick it up (usually come back to Adelaide for Christmas) but probably not this year!

    • +5

There's not, but I also think $37 is fairly reasonable for a large 10-12 potentially +kg parcel interstate. If you do come to Adelaide we can offer pickup if required. We only charge what the shipping calculator spits out.

      • Wow never would have guessed you were in Adelaide :p
I actually made an order adding shipping, is it possible to change that to pick up
        My order Number is TF121082631

        • Just email [email protected] woth that request, and your shipping will be refunded at the time of collection, assuming we're not under any kind of covid restriction, in which case it will be shipped.

    • +3

What are you expecting to pay for shipping? A small shoe box with Auspost is already $15 lol

      • +2

Just figured there would be courier options etc that can send for cheaper. Not a huge deal, it's already a bargain as it is. But I wouldn't be on OzBargain if I didn't try!

  • This vs the Dell deal from yesterday? aka should I cancel and get this one?

    • i say this but Omen still top the competition.

      • any reason why you prefer this one?

        • overall is a better specs for the same price; try comparing each of the component i.e. CPU, GPU, Storage, PSU, RAM; note that Dell is $1,999

    • I'm in exactly the same boat! What to do!?!

  • How come it says $2288 when I go to the link??

    • +4

always there be that person …. 3700X-3070-BFCM

    • put in the code 3700X-3070-BFCM

  • Just ordered one, hope I will be able to receive it next week !

    • Thanks for your order! To manage expectations correctly from the outset, as per our website, we're working to an estimated 14 business days from order to dispatch.

  • +1

can Gigabyte B450M Aorus Elite motherboard fit 2 slots of NVME.M2 SSD?

    • Yep looking at Gigabyte's website on the motherbord it has two slots.
      one 22110, one 2280

  • +2

Nice to see the ol' Neg voter is stil lurking around.

    • Don't they have to post a comment to neg? Should be able to spot them pretty easily.

      • Sorry I should've said downvoter. Someone gets a kick out of downvoting most positive comments on pretty much every post.

  • which one is better B450 or B550>?

    • +1

The Aorus Elite B450 is on balance a better board than the Biostar B550. The MSI Pro VDH WiFi B550 is a nice board too - you get the benefit of extra compatibility with future Ryzen generations. B450 compatibility ends after Ryzen 5000 series (Zen 3) while B550 has been confirmed for Zen 3 and Zen 4.

      • Really now? That's cool. I thought AM4 was end of life with the Zen3 chips.

        • AM4 socket is living on into the never never apparently, but X470/B450 got a bit stunted on the future upgrade path compatibility (they originally weren't even going to support Zen 2).

      • Thanks

      • Thanks Luke, ordered one.

        • Thanks for your purchase!

  • Is this real life?…

    • +4

      Is this just fantasy?

  • Has anyone had experience with their (Allied / Techfast) liquid coolers before? I purchased a cooler upgrade to 360mm liquid and was a bit disappointed to get Allied brand - would happily have paid more for a better known brand.

  • hmm this or the dell xps one… it's like branded vs pc compatible back in the days :P

    • you don't actually have much choice; the latter is OOS.

      • I still see it available in ebay — is it already OOS?

        • +1

100 units were added an hour ago

          • +2

@bbbrrr: oh wasn't aware; i stand corrected andoy. IMO, this is more value than Dell.

  • Hi all I'm looking for your sagely advice…I've got a set of Patriot RGB DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz 32GB and could I just slot them in,would they play nice and improve the system speed…????….need bling for daughter.

  • Parts list has the MSI mag forge 100R listed but that's not the supplied case. Can it be swapped fro the MSI case? Would highly prefer it.

    • +1

It's an equivalent case price wise. I'm looking into MAG Forge stock availability and will add it if I can.

      • please PM me if this is a possibility! thanks

      • Lance-V does not come up in google search.

        Have any IRL pictures please?

  • +1

Should I I cancel my DELL purchase and order this instead? Is it more powerful in 2k gaming than DELL?

    • more powerful is an overstatement but definitely better value.

  • Thank you OP, just bought one. Great deal.

    • thanks for your order!

  • Hi luketechfast

    Ordered this on the 22/11/2020
Super excited as its the 1st computer I have bought in over 10years.
Heard good things about your builds!

    ETA
    Thanks

    I got this Order TF119162631

    Case: Lance-V RGB ATX Case
Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite ATX Motherboard
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB Graphics Card

Solid State Drive: 240GB m.2 NVME SSD
Power Supply: Gigabyte P650B 650W 80+ Bronze Power Supply

    • +1

Nice build, thanks for your order! I'm sure you'll be happy with it!

  • Hey Luke
How much stock have you got of the 3070?
100% will be able to deliver on all orders?
    This is an amazing deal!!!

    • Thanks for checking, there haven't been any sipply issues on 3070 and 3700x arrived today!

  • This or dell for gaming?

  • +1

    Any 3070 and 5600X deals?

    • You can buy this one and sell the cpu then buy 5600x on ebay at Approx $470(was $410 yesterday

    • No Zen 3 deals this year sorry, too close to launch

  • Literally just bit the bullet and bought the other (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/577276) 3070 deal.
Been well out of the PC game (last PC build was ?2006)
Any opinions on which is better?
Main differences from the other vs this is:
    3600 vs 3700x
    550 aorus vs 450 aorus
    480gb ssd vs 240 ssd
Some other case vs this Lance case
    $100 more vs this price.

Will there be much of a difference between the 3600 and 3700x, and does the mb variation matter?

    • 3700x fare better in multithread performance but should almost identical to 3600, in single thread performance (gaming)

550 is future proof for CPU upgrade because 450 support ends at Zen 3.

      • Thanks for the reply!
Sounds like my choice will be fine.

  • Man. I'm waiting for Ryzen 5600X with 6800XT and a decent B550 motherboard (SAM enabled) deal.
    That's all I want.

  • Is this build much faster than the Dell RTX 3070 deal?

    • +2

It's a touch slower for pure gaming, but that difference is imperceptible really. This deal has better bones.

  • +1

Any one from Sydney ordered from them before? How's the experience?

  • hi, Luke, can I change 3700x to 10700f with msi b460m mortar wifi or some other mobo like this? What price is it?

    • Sorry, we're not setup to manage this request during this time.

  • Should I get the techfast ryzen 3700x 3070GTX combo instead l considering it has branded parts? Will the low PSU on this PC make the CPU and GPU slower than other comparable built pcs?

    • @luketechfast please help.

    • This PSU delivers appropriate power for both CPU and GPU, plus all other components, with the 80 plus bronze rating meaning it is more efficient in delivering the power from the wall plug the components, so less power is wasted as heat/noise/vibration. Only an unsuitable PSU would adversely affect power delivery to the components, which this is not.

  • @luketechfast
Is the MSI Ventus RTX 3070 8GB option the 2X or 3X model?

    • I'm depending on this answer before I click purchase :D

    • +4

We actually have both but can request from MSI to receive more 3X fans, which I assume everyone wants?

      • Yes please!

      • Hi @luketechfast,

I just ordered selecting the MSI Ventus, can I please have the 3X model installed?

        Cheers

  • @luketechfast - I'm not sure if this has been asked before but do you usually send all the packaging boxes of the parts?

    • +1

It has, and we don't, unless you order it unassembled in which case we send everything as we receive it. We're not setup operationally to manage packaging through pick, assembly, testing, packing and shipping, and the cost is prohibitive.

      • How to order it unassembled? Do we just put a comment when ordering?

        • Yep, enter SHIP UNASSEMBLED in the Notes field during Checkout. Our 1 year assembled system warranty won't apply as we didn't build it, but we can assist with individual component warranty requests where needed, as most manufacturers require you to go back to the place of purchase.
