  It doesn't say if it comes with strips or they need to be purchased separately. It is a critical information since companies make money from the strips and not the meter/ monitor itself.

    I doubt any strips are included, but the strips for this device also seem to be a lot cheaper than for Accuchek

  Then what's the point in getting a free meter if one has to spend on the strips anyway? At least a few strips should be included with the meter for free.

    It's not really free at $5… I have 2 in the house but they rarely get used unless checking ketones. We use the acu check Aviva instead as it does bolus calculations on the meter.
