Where do I connect this to in my studio apartment?
a studio tap
Just in case anyone is thinking this will be great for the garage or shed in a normal suburban house, unless you go to the expense of upgrading your water mains or have your own supply of water (rural tank), this won't be any better than a garden hose.
You'll need a hell of a lot more volume and pressure than is standard in a residential area. Might sound like commonsense, but people sometimes pull the trigger on deals without thinking through first.
This ^
Otherwise it just like you bought a pair of way oversized shoes just because they are cheap.
I came here for the misleading product descriptions too.
Mod, pin this please.
Yep, a bit of grunt helps:

(today was fuel, prep, and test the pump day with summer starting tomorrow)Pump specs?
.It's an older model 5.5hp Honda Onga fire pump, I purchased it in the late 90's, I believe the newer ones are better, more outlets and better self priming, not cheap though…
Some of the chinese pumps with knockoff Honda engines look ok but for fire reliability I'd stick with genuine Honda… Every year I fill it up with fresh fuel around the end of Nov to test it, it ALWAYS starts first pull with very little effort, a light tug and away she goes, then I drain the float bowl and fuel tank around March once fire season has ended so it's not sitting with stale fuel over winter…
Edit: this seems to be the current version of mine:

.
you'd have thought the federal government would offer tax breaks on domestic fire fighting these days since they support global warming so avidly.
edit I mean the companies driving our knowingly reckless environment wrecking energy policy get tax breaks so why not the ordinary Australians that have to live with the consequences? Why give their money to foreign - largely american - energy companies…
