$5 Bonus Promo Terms:

  • To be eligible for the AUD $5 bonus, you must first activate the promotion via the main link in this post, then shop as normal via any* online store on Cashrewards.
  • Transaction must be made between 10:00AM AEDT 21/12/20 and 11:59PM AEDT 21/12/20.
  • Bonus is eligible when making a qualifying purchase of AUD $5 or more in a single transaction (inclusive of GST, after any discounts, and before shipping).
  • Bonus will not be added to your Cashrewards account at time of purchase. It will be credited separately as approved by 06/02/21.
  • Bonus is over and above the advertised store cashback rates which still apply to the transaction.
  • Transaction is valid if made online via desktop browser, Cashrewards mobile app, Cashrewards Notifier, or mobile browser.
  • Bonus is ineligible for any in-store purchases.
  • Sales may report to Cashrewards ex-GST so the amount shown in your account may be less than $5. You will still be eligible for the bonus.
  • Selected stores may report orders with multiple items as separate transactions into your Cashrewards account. These are still eligible.
  • Bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account. Additional transactions do not qualify for additional bonuses.
  • Bonus is ineligible if you purchase from a 0% cashback store/cashback rate, if you purchase an ineligible item, or if an order is cancelled, changed, returned, rejected. *Individual store cashback terms and exclusions apply (see Amazon & AliExpress especially).
  • Fraudulent activity will result in rewards being forfeited and accounts closed.

Ensure you disable 3rd party plugins and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost (feel free to try our recently updated mobile app).

Two common questions:

  1. Will I be eligible for the bonus if I purchase anything from an Amazon category at 0% cashback? - NO (all standard store T&Cs apply)
  2. Can I use Amazon gift cards for purchase and still be eligible? - YES.

Note also that AliExpress now pays cashback on affiliate products only - see updated terms and link checker here.

Don't forget to refer-a-friend for $20 (they get $10) - tip: add your code to OzB’s randomiser.

      • All of the items I am looking for aren't eligible.

  • cant see boost or telstra nor amaysim mobile listed any longer but now i can. must be my browser. are ther any other good sim deals?

    • +9

Boost, Telstra, Vodafone are all listed.

SIM Starter pack for 28 days plan:

      Boost $30 for $10, 40GB, cashback $3.5 + $5, $1.5 cost

Telstra $30 for $15, 25GB, cashback $10 + $5, FREE after cashback if all conditions meet

      Vodafone $30 for $9, 40GB, cashback $2.25 + $5, $1.75 cost

It is worth mentioning that Vodafone offers infinite data - speeds of up to 1.5Mbps on $30/$40/$50 prepaid plans.

      • when do we have to activate them by?

        • I think the T & Cs are not very tight for these. My Boost $30 plan purchase was approved before activation recently. YMMV.

      • How often can you purchase the Telstra pre paid sim and get cashback?

        • +2

It is same $10 standard cashback on SB if you want to buy more and spread the cashback.

      • +2

Note: Conditions on prepaid to get cashback may apply!

Cashback is eligible on approved and eligible postpaid & prepaid voice & mobile broadband plans that remain active for a minimum of 90 days for postpaid, or 60 days for prepaid

        So for
        Vodafone $30 for $9, 40GB, cashback $2.25 + $5, $1.75 cost
will cost minimum of $31.75 with both cashback over 60days to qualify.

        • +1

Use a spare number and leave it expired but active till the 60th day. I would not be surprised that cashback may be approved even before activation, as I mentioned above.

  • If you buy 2 items from Amazon, one from an eligible category, one from a 0% category in the same transaction, would you still qualify for cashback?

    • Yes if the one in eligible category worth more than $5 :)

Woolies giftcard through cashrewards portal work?

    • No longer available.

  • +1

Does this work with AliExpress new user coupon?

    • i would like to know this too. worth a try to see if it tracks report back if not buy something else. not much faith in cr tracking

  • +2

Hmmm, am I looking at this wrong?

    in the GC portal

    Choice Gift Card: 5% cashback

    eBay Gift Card: 1% cashback

so the thing to do would be to get a Choice Gift Card and redeem for an eBay card (or most other cards really that have a lower cashback rate)?

    Or am I missing something?

  • +1

Nice timing. Bought a last minute xmas present using this deal. Thanks TA

  • +3

Can’t use this on eBay cause everything is 0%……

    • Yeah, it's more and more tough to find something smallish with no ebay, Aliexpress limited and Amazon charging for shipping. With WW also out, cashback websites seem less attractive these days. It looks as if the vendors are putting more emphasis on gift cards.

      • True that. Thought for a while and got a bottle of Turtle Wax & Wash from SCA. Again, fast tracking

  • Anyone got a link to the gift card portal? I've looked everywhere on mobile…

  • +6

Thanks bought something from Chemist Warehouse.

  • Are all the gift cards in the portal available via the app? I can’t find the Choice Gift Card in the app nor can I find a gift card category in the app.

Edit: I found a tile for gift cards in the top scrolling banner and it takes me out of the app and too my web browser. Well that’s a little disappointing. I hope the app gets updated in the future.

  • Can I use Aliexpress and use coupon offered by Aliexpress?

    • My Ali purchase from yesterday had one of their automated coupons applied and was tracked by CR. As always with Aliexpress, it's the luck of the draw. Read new CR T&Cs carefully, though.

  • Hi TA/ everyone,
Is it eligible for $5 bonus if i buy prepaid sim from kogan.com?

  • +5

TA remains the patron saint of Ozbargain. Thanks for helping resolve me tracking issue quick-smart! <3

  • +2

I know it's stated above in the T&C's but incase people skim over it expecting it to be the same, you have to check the product link of Aliexpress with that affiliate checker to see if your product is eligible. I looked a lot my previous orders (before this started) and only about half was eligible. Makes it a bit of a PITA but aliexpress is the one of the only stores I can do a $5 spend on without ebay :(

    • so many usb c cables from these bonuses lol, can never think what else to get before the deadline.

      • +1

Yeah same, I checked Amazon and a lot of eligible stuff that are around $5 have a minimum order qty.

      • If you get more usb c cables that are Aliexpress affiliated can you please post the link :D my toddler goes crazy when I use the laptop and it's hard to check on mobile.

  • +1

Ty, got some hand sanitiser from a drugstore

  • Hi TA/ Fellas,
Would a click and collect from Chemsit warehouse count??

    • +1

Yeah I've done c&c at CW and got CR cashback b4.

      • Yes me too, just did another one.

  • If I cancel my order and make another order, am I still eligible for this bonus?

    • Seems risky

    • +1

I believe so, as it is your first eligible purchase that gets counted.

  • Didn't get the $6 one back from the last good offer, did anyone have that order fixed?

don't think the effort worth sometimes

    • Just PM TA.

BTW, I have never seen any $6 cash back before.

  • Ah damn they changed the minimum to $30 for choice gift cards

  • Good deal!

  • +3

There is no way to remember how many of this bonus you qualified or when they are due on cash rewards.

I prefer to participate in shopback challenge which atleast record the.bonus (challenge) as soon as you qualified for it. Cash rewards should invent something similar so people can remember which challenge they participated and qualified for.

    • +3

Maybe they should invent something to track better and not send all complaints a generic email that the user did wrong .

    • That's why I always post what I bought so I can check when the inevitable failed cashback happens.

      • Thanks I don't know about thread but the problem is I and many like me forget about it after using it and this bonus do get missing. After shopback started challenge it is so easy that I don't need to remember what bonus I used/purchased.

Now after collecting millions from public in terms of IPO cash rewards should be invest and provide transparent tracking system which not just track purchase but also let user know that they participated in bonus similar to shopback challenge.

    • +1

I take a screenshot once the transaction is finished and then send it to myself on fb messenger /label SS on my laptop. Then I set a reminder on the deals page for when the cashback is due to be in the account

I keep a wish list of small AliExpress items for times like this, there's an extra step now but so far it seems most of the bigger sellers are affiliated.

  • Going to take advantage of 12% on Booking.com…

Chemist Warehouse is a safe bet… click and collect if you want to avoid shipping charges. It's great that CW doesn't have any minimums for click and collect orders unlike many stores.

          • @Skramit: It's up to you what they eat.

            • @Yola: lol person without toddlers has advice…

  • Bonus will not be added to your Cashrewards account at time of purchase. It will be credited separately as approved by 06/02/21.

Will it show as tracked before this date?

    • Yes if it tracked.

  • +2

grabbed a couple Nivea mens body washes at amazon $3 each so less than a buck after bonus

  • I have problem to submit Chemist Warehouse order. I got the following message:-
"The system returned the following reason:
There was a problem with your last attempt. We were unable to process your credit card payment. Please check your credit card details and try again. (Error Code: CWH1009b)"
I tried 3 credit cards and debit cards. All my details are correct.
Is there anyone got the same problem?

    • +1

Just made a purchase at CW, no issues.

Perhaps your CW account is blocked or all your cards previously used at CW is blocked by them.

Try to sign in as a guest or maybe use alternative payment like Zip Pay?

    Purchased a dell mouse at $7.05 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/591924

  • How do I use the referral link and also get the $5 bonus cashback?

They seem to be different links.

    • Use the referral to make an account. Sign in
Then follow the $5 link. Note you may not be eligible but still, you'll be more likely to be eligible for the next one if you have an actual account.

      • I have an Account already, so I should first click on the Referral link, login and then click on $5 bonus link and make the purchase?

        • +1

The referral link is to make an account. If you click it after already making an account there's no effect.

          • @MatrixM: Thanks, mate. After replying to you, it came to me as well :)

  • Guys sorry to ask,

    Is it included GST?
I am going to buy something from Repco cost $5.01 which is included $0.46 GST.

    • +1

It usually is including GST yes.

      • Thanks

    • +1

      From the deal itself:

      • Bonus is eligible when making a qualifying purchase of AUD $5 or more in a single transaction (inclusive of GST, after any discounts, and before shipping).

      • Sales may report to Cashrewards ex-GST so the amount shown in your account may be less than $5. You will still be eligible for the bonus.

So even if the reported price is ex-GST (i.e. $4.55), you will still be eligible for the bonus $5 cashback.

EDIT: Just checked the Cashrewards' Repco partner page and there is no mention that the reported value is ex-GST, so you should also get $0.10 standard cashback (2% of $5.01).

      • +1

        Thank you so much

    • +1

It says above, "inclusive of GST."
