Seems to be the cheapest so far. Just bought mine from Officeworks then I saw this deal, not happy Jan.

It says 3 days only but not sure if it started yesterday or today.

  • Can we use this to one of USB port in xbox x as the internal one in it is not SSD? Changing internal one to SSD is quite difficult too.

      No problem with mine.

  • I have been using an external hdd for playing 4k movies in my sony tv, do ssds work as well? thanks!

    • +1

It does, you'll probably use USB-C (disk-side) - USB-A (TV-side) cable that should be included with this external SSD.

  • Just price matched 2 at Officeworks for $226.10.
    (2 @ $119 + $6 shipping - 5%)
Edit: Just realised, she didn't add the shipping, which I did tell her about!

    • They wont do it if it is avaialble instore as well at Binglee

      • I'm over a 4 hour drive from the nearest Bing Lee!
She should have added the shipping to the total, then subtracted the 5%.

Our Price Beat Guarantee includes products you find online - as long as the item is identical and in stock. When assessing the PBG from online stores we also take into account the added cost of delivery to your location (if any). If the identical, in stock product can be purchased and delivered to your location via an online store for a total price lower than the one we are offering, we will beat that total price by 5%.

Seem to be collecting T5s like eneloops nowadays. Might be time to buy covers as well as the scraping noise they make when stored together gives me chills.

  • Can buy this, open it and install in pc?

  • Bought one at Officeworks Chatswood, store clerk had already matched with Bing Lee earlier so she didn't bat an eyelid.
2 left behind the counter that i saw at 4pm today.

2 days left and seems to still be plenty of stock (both bing lee and officeworks), so I'd say a good chance yes

  • Using the previous $20 cashback offer from commbank (20 on 100 spend), which I used to get an officeworks gift card. It's a great deal ($93.05)! Thanks OP

      Well played!

  • This price makes it cheaper than putting 1TB SATA SSD in enclosure.
This portable T5 one is original price more expensive so is it faster USB connection than cheap enclosure?

    • Just to answer own question: was comparing 860QVO 1TB SATA in case vs T5 1TB.

Apparently T5 is 1TB mSATA 850EVO inside with SATA to USB (same as cheap case). So compare 850EVO 1TB vs 860QVO 1TB.
850EVO 1TB is more recent model and is faster.

      Warranty,
      850EVO 1TB = 5 years or 150 TB TBW (External T5 = only 3 years)
      860QVO 1TB = 3 years or 360 TB TBW

So QVO is more TBW. T5 is same warranty but less TBW.

For TBW 860QVO 1TB in case wins. Speed T5 wins.

  • I rang my local OW, got a guy to confirm he could price match & reserved for me to pick up. I then went to the store & the ladies at the counter who checked out for me said they couldnt price match with Bing Lee as they're "grey imported products" & told me that the guy I spoke over the phone had given me wrong info. Ended purchased one at $128 OW price even though not 100% satisfied.

    • I'd call them out on that crap - it's pure lies.

Just picked up with price beat at OW Preston Vic. Staff member in isle said the policy is they price beat local Aus site + delivery (as I expected) however at counter the staff member just asked if it was Bing Lee @$119 and thus I walked out even happier at $113.05.

    • I was lucky too! preston OW earlier today price matched at the front counter and missed adding postage so got if for $113.05

  • Looks like this deal expires today.

  • Officeworks, Malaga, WA,
    $113.05 price beat receipt
