Yeah, at 170 though.. They won't price match.

      • What will the price match? Online shows $170 also.

        • Stores won't price match the auspost site, it's an online price only.

  • I cannot find a way of tracking my order online.

One of my AusPost Order has shipped. Not sure if it the TV or Projector.

    • +4

      Same here. From DHL/AusPost

      • Must be the DHL/Auspost sender. Got the same one.

Awesome, was worried it was going to get cancelled.

      • Got the same. Looks like it's shipped

        • Got the same as well. Thanks for clarification

Mine got shipped. I missed the tv so likely the projectors. Thanks op I got one as sold out

  • What screen or setup would people recommend. I am planning to set it up near the pool area or a small outdoor area to be enjoyed for someone else so want to make it a good setup

got this today its crap. no wifi no blue tooth. cheap build. blury picture wont focus. allready started the return process

    • What reason did you put for the return? Not of acceptable quality? Maybe if others have the same issues we should reject at delivery.

      • not sure if its just mine could just be a bad unit but its blury and wont focus. when i try to focus it its either blury at the top or bottom ive wiped down the lens & had a fidddle with keystone and focus dial. none of the picture will 100% focus right. i would keep it if not for this. it does feel kinda cheap to

        • +2

These projectors use Fresnel lenses for optical keystone adjustment - the drawback of this is that if the keystone adjustment is used, you will not be able to keep the whole screen in focus as the focal distance will differ for different parts of the screen. The only way to have the whole screen to stay (somewhat) in focus is to keep the keystone wheel as neutral (or in the middle position).

          • @systema: After seeing your coment and reading all the instructions im able to get the picture a bit better by also focusing the centre of the picture. But i still think this is average after seeing the siginify aldi projector review on youtube it looks very clear this looks like vhs quality and the power brick gets quite hot aswell to the point that ive pointed a fan at it. should be ok in the cooler months

lol you complained because it had no wifi or bluetooth? It never claimed to have either.

no it dident. i gess i just thought it would. it does have some good features tho its made more for personal media collection or tv. 9000 lumia projects up to 240 inch supports up to 1tb hdd ive tried an sd and plays mp4 well

Received mine. Haven't opened it up to test it yet (will do it tonight) but here are the specs

  • Seems fine - can get some parts in focus, speakers quite soft, no wifi

  • Received mine and I am happy with the purchase. Can't compare the picture quality to a TV though, contrast seems low and colour washed out in daylight environment. But it has multiple HDMI ports and can play movie files directly from a USB stick, and the speakers are surprisingly good/loud. No WiFi or BT but for $70 it is a very good value projector for casual users I guess.

As mentioned above, with neutral keystone I am able to produce a really clear picture (and inbuilt speakers are quite loud too). Definitely a more casual projector for darker room viewing, but for 69 bucks, nothing comes even close to how this performs. Very happy.

  • Does anyone have cheap screen recommendations?

    • White bedsheet?

      • maybe not that cheap

Seems like auspost sourced this projector and other Thomson products from https://www.ifisource.com/ seen from the warranty page wayback machine indicates the site was running normally in February last year but changed to being under maintenance from November or earlier.

Searching that website brings up business looking things that I don’t understand.

    My thoughts on the projector:
    - Corner sharpness isn't great but center sharpness is fine
    - Make sure projector is inline with screen - i.e. keystone neutral
    - Fine for movies and plenty bright. Also the small speakers come in handy

All in all, great bargain for $69

  • Also got mine today, didn't expect much at this price but this thing is great! Having said that, it's my first projector so probably have no idea :)

I'm using the wall as the screen at the moment, would it be much better to get a proper screen? If so, any recommendations for a budget screen and what size is best?

  • Just got mine. Big bugger that it has no wifi or Bluetooth

    • Can't you just plug a chromecast into it?

      • +1

        Yes. I have tried.

        • Ripper

  • I received this and had a chance to set it up.
No bluetooth. But, sound was more than enough.
Pictures were really clear & focused if you could center the projector to the screen. Keystone is a joke.
But, for $70, it is a great value. Very happy with the projector.

  • I bought this projector wall mount on the 27th and it arrived today but the thread screw is too big. Now to get an adapter.

    • Where are you trying to screw that mount into? I thought you were supposed to remove the 4 rubber feet on the bottom of the projector and use those 4 screw holes to mount the projector?

      • Well… I didn’t see that even though I looked through the manual 🤦‍♂️

I was planning to put it into the middle front threaded hole that has the threaded bolt that angles it upwards.
