CV19 Trial Injection - Yes I've Had It, and I feel fine.

Greetings all, I've seen a great deal in the media, from anti-vaxers, non-believers, I'll wait, etc in regards to forthcoming vaccine injections.

Firstly, I have been involved in the trial that has been conducted at the Prince of Wales in Randwick NSW. It is part of the Novavax , which the current government has ordered, along with Pfizer and AstraZeneca.

As you probably know, one of the vaccines has been removed as it was found to have incorrect results in regards to HIV. ie the one from the Uni of Qld.

I have so far had 2 injections, and I thought that I would share my experience.

The 1st I believe to be a placebo, or a very low dosage. I had no reaction whatsoever, and felt completely normal.

The 2nd I believe was a low dosage, or high dosage as after a few hours, I did feel some discomfort, swelling, followed by a small lump at the injection site. This was similar to what I had experienced with my first 'flu vaccine' several years ago. This was a few months ago, and other than a short cold a month ago, have been otherwise healthy. I suspect that I received this from my partner, who had a cold the prior week (and tested negative to CV19).

As part of the process, I have monthly nasal swipes, as well as the one when I had a cold.

So, all I am saying is, fellow Australians, there is nothing to fear by having the jab, when/should it become available.

    • Is that the YouTube dude Logan Paul?

      • I think you are referring to the americano bozo who went to japan suicide forest to make joke of dead people. He also have alot of dead followers that he is not aware of haunting him every night.

More like Wolverine, the guy who has kitchen utensils sprang out of his hands.

hope nothing goes wrong in the future…….once the china virus vacine is inside you, you can not pull it out again!!

i sure as hell wont take it anytime soon

    • Yup, The real virus is better than the vaccine.

      • The vaccine doesn't prevent you from getting it, you still get COVID and you can spread it. You just won't get the symptoms… I saw one of the pfizer informercials.

      • What virus?

  • Is there a remind me in 1 year thing on Ozbargain like they have on reddit?

I would be interested to see if this person's opinions change within the next year or after 5 years when the long term side effects start. I remember there was a vaccine where the effects did not take effect until months later when the people fell ill.

Hopefully by one year, we will have a better understanding of the vaccine.

    • I remember there was a vaccine where the effects did not take effect until months later when the people fell ill.

Do you remember the name of the vaccine?

      • +1

It's the one where they had to change the ingredients…

        I'll go look it up.

Dude, you need to read widely, but surely you know I'm talking about. Or maybe I'm just thinking people are smarter than they actually are…

        • So which one was it?

        • +1

Your link shows that all incidents after 2000 are invalid concerns, so this is good news?

  • +1

thanks for your contribution, without volunteers like you, vaccine trials would not be possible.

  • 🎶🕴️🕴️🕴️⚰️🕴️🕴️🕴️🎶

  • The scientists are talking about adjusting the vaccines to cope with new variants. The current vaccines may not work anymore if virus mutates further.

The Morrison government has given the suppliers of two COVID-19 vaccines indemnity against liability for rare side effects that experts say are "inevitable" when a vaccine is rolled out.

But the government will not set up a statutory compensation scheme, which the president of the Australian Medical Association, Omar Khorshid, said meant Australians who suffered "extremely rare" side effects from the vaccines would face a tough battle to seek compensation.

    • +2

Lol you can't make this sh*t up, so you can be forced in some cases to have the vaccine here (jobs, maybe travel) though you can't sue them if something goes wrong.

  • +1

    Thanks for volunteering.

Not convinced on the results this soon though, but it’s volunteers like you which helps make things better.

I will take a vaccine over another lock-down any day. Plus we all need to get back to work.

Narcissist anti-vaxxers have an inflated sense of self-importance
Believing that you, as a parent armed with Google and Facebook, know more about protecting your child’s health than the sum of centuries of medicine is pretty stunning.

Narcissist anti-vaxxers want to be recognized as “superior”
Anti-vaxxers expect people to simply accept that their hunch trumps the medical advice of doctors and public health officials all over the world. Science? Science is for other dummies, not anti-vaxxers.

Narcissist anti-vaxxers have a sense of entitlement
Believing that your choice to go against medical advice is more important than the health and welfare of everyone else is nothing more than a childish sense of entitlement, plain and simple.

Narcissist anti-vaxxers have an inability (or unwillingness) to recognize the needs of others
Some kids simply can’t handle vaccinations. Kids fighting cancer and other life-threatening illnesses can’t protect themselves, so when anti-vaxxer parents choose, through some delusion, to not vaccinate, they are putting these sick children’s lives at direct risk.

Narcissist anti-vaxxers expect special favors and unquestioning compliance with their expectations
To walk into a school with a kid that isn’t vaccinated and expect that school to take the kid no questions asked is pretty brazen. Before the rubella vaccine came out in 1969, an outbreak killed 11,000 babies and caused birth defects in 20,000 between 1963 and 1965 in the U.S. alone.

Anti-vaxxers are narcissists with no compunction about endangering the rest of society, because they believe it’s the right thing to do. So let’s start treating these people like they’re afflicted with the personality disorders they are and stop letting them hijack the health and well-being of our communities.

You left out conspiracy theorist, racist, bigot.

  • I got both doses of the Pfizer vaccine when I was over in the US for work. I got them like 2.5 weeks apart because I had to leave the country. I'm Good, but the vaccine goes into the muscle which kinda pains for a day or two.

Thanks for sharing your personal experience. Good on you for being on the trial.

I do have to point out different people react to vaccine differently especially this new CV one that only developed within such a short period of time with limited data on actual side effects and long term effectiveness.

I can understand for US with the amount of cases and casualties, it is crucial to get the jab. It is quite a different story here tho.

my point was, it could take decades before the side effects are known

Today we know that tobacco products cause cancer, but, from the 1920’s to the 1960’s, advertisers used representations of medical professionals to make the case that smoking was healthy. Tobacco companies sought to exploit the influence of doctors, dentists, and nurses to ease consumers’ anxiety over the health risks of smoking. The focus of the “More Doctors Smoke Camels” exhibit will be on examining these period advertisements and showing contemporary audiences how advertisers worked to promote cigarettes in the face of the health problems they caused.

By the mid-1950s, when tobacco companies had to confront good evidence that their products caused lung cancer, advertising strategies started to shift. “What happens is, all the different cigarette companies kind of work together to try to promote the idea that…we don’t know yet if it’s harmful,” Gardner says. In 1954, these companies released “A Frank Statement to Cigarette Smokers” arguing that research showing a link between cancer and smoking was alarming but not conclusive. Therefore, the companies were forming a research committee to investigate the issue.

After this, cigarette ads stopped featuring doctors because this was no longer a convincing tactic. Doctors were coming out against cigarettes, culminating in 1964 with the U.S. Surgeon General’s report that smoking causes lung cancer, laryngeal cancer and chronic bronchitis.

Still, tobacco companies continued to maintain, through their research committee, that there was still a “controversy” over whether cigarettes were unhealthy until 1998. That year, the Tobacco Institute and the Committee for Tobacco Research (as it was then known) disbanded in accordance with a lawsuit settlement.

  • Like anything there are risks in taking any vaccines… when my daughter was born even though pro vaccine there was always a concern in the back of my mind - then you read stories of babies and young kids dying in parents arms from a preventative infections disease….I am fortunate that daughter had no obvious side effects of the vaccines and is alive and never died of whooping cough etc…I know if your one of the very few poor peaple who has a major reaction to a vaccines its not much of a consolation…we should continue to watch the data but Australia is so fortunate to have this debate as healthcare workers in other first world countries are getting PTSD etc as their communities/patients die alone from Covid19 on trolleys in hospital hallways…I have been ventilated and the feeling of taking a full breath and chocking for oxygen is (profanity) scary…I think vaccines should be mandatory even if your young and strong…you could just save a life of a kid, mom, dad, anyone who accidentally catches it off you because of immune suppressed or just unlucky and it kills you…It just shits me when some young alpha male states (profanity) that I'm not getting it and screw everyone at my work, my mates, my parents, their friends etc…grow some (profanity) balls and stop being so self just a dumb prick but if peer reviewed papers and data states benefits outweigh the risks and immunologist and doctors are getting the shot i have to trust the experts —and that isn't being a sheep but playing the odds in my favour..

  • I prefer to have the Chinese vaccine because it has less side effect. I will wait till then… in the mean time stay healthy everyone.

A federal government agency knowingly released polio vaccine contaminated with a monkey virus in the 1960s that has since been linked to a range of cancers, including mesothelioma.

The virus contaminated at least four batches of vaccine totalling almost three million doses between 1956 and 1962.

Two of the batches were released after testing positive to contamination. The other two were released before tests could be done. An unknown number of earlier batches were also almost certainly contaminated.

    • We have literally nothing in common with the world 60-65 years ago in terms of manufacturing, research, science and litigation.

In the 1950s/1960s Australian soldiers and indigenous locals were deliberately exposed to radiation by the British nuclear tests at Maralinga.

          America’s Radioactive Secret

Oil-and-gas wells produce nearly a trillion gallons of toxic waste a year. An investigation shows how it could be making workers sick and contaminating communities across America

The advent of the fracking boom in the early 2000s expanded the danger, saddling the industry with an even larger tidal wave of waste to dispose of, and creating new exposure risks as drilling moved into people’s backyards. “In the old days, wells weren’t really close to population centers. Now, there is no separation,” says City University of New York public-health expert Elizabeth Geltman. In the eastern U.S. “we are seeing astronomically more wells going up,” she says, “and we can drill closer to populations because regulations allow it.”

      • His cause of death is currently listed as ‘inconclusive’ by the Orange County Coroner, with a toxicology report expected to take months. At least two other American men have died after receiving Covid vaccines, although it is unclear if those deaths were linked to the injections themselves.

3 deaths with possible links to a vaccine in the US vs 400,000+ deaths from the the disease.

        Learn maths.

        • -2

REVEALED: U.S. government gave $3.7million grant to Wuhan lab at center of coronavirus leak scrutiny that was performing experiments on bats from the caves where the disease is believed to have originated.

Scientists say COVID-19 may have been cooked up in lab

A growing number of scientists say it is possible COVID-19 was created in a laboratory.

WHO advisor: COVID-19 pandemic likely started via lab leak

Calls wet market origin story a lie

Further evidence emerges that China hid coronavirus truth from the world as study says Covid was circulating in Italy in September 2019

    • Yes many knew it was synthetic from day one but like many things were not allowed to say so.
The evidence is simple, running a "BLAST" shows sections have been "cut and pasted" from another virus.
Notice this is never mentioned. Patient 0 is never mentioned.

COVID19 is based on bat SARS. It was not contagious enough. There are sections of the spike proteins that have been added to bat SARS to make it more infectious.
There was a line of research started in the US around 2011 to 2016, then became secret from then on, and some moved to Wuhan.
Wuhan had the main or only BSL4 lab in China.
Whether it was released by accident or intentionally who knows.

Look up or ask about the Nucleotide BLAST results comparing to bat SARS.

In nature mutations occur usually one, two or maybe three Nucleotides. But not 2000 in a row.

A Few Covid Vaccine Recipients Developed a Rare Blood Disorder
A link to the vaccines is not certain, and investigations are underway in some reported cases.

Hematologists with expertise in treating immune thrombocytopenia said they suspected that the vaccine did play a role. But they said that cases after vaccination were likely to be exceedingly rare, possibly the result of an unknown predisposition in some people to react to the vaccine by developing an immune response that destroys their platelets. The disorder has occurred, rarely, in people who received other inoculations, particularly the measles-mumps-rubella one.

“I think it is possible that there is an association,” Dr. James Bussel, a hematologist and professor emeritus at Weill Cornell Medicine who has written more than 300 scientific articles on the platelet disorder, said in an interview. “I’m assuming there’s something that made the people who developed thrombocytopenia susceptible, given what a tiny percentage of recipients they are.”

He added: “Having it happen after a vaccine is well-known and has been seen with many other vaccines. Why it happens, we don’t know.”

Dr. Bussel said it was important to share information about the cases, because severe thrombocytopenia can be serious, and physicians need to know how to treat it. Sometimes the condition resists standard therapies, and if very low platelet counts persist, the patient faces an increasing risk of severe bleeding and even brain hemorrhage.

Dr. Jerry L. Spivak, an expert on blood disorders at Johns Hopkins University, also said the connection to the vaccine appeared real, but predicted that cases would be exceedingly rare and called them “idiosyncratic,” perhaps related to underlying traits in individual patients.
