What was the best new PS4 deal that you have seen?
Where and when do you think is the best time to get a PS4 (new)? as PS5 is now out surely (shirley) the price of PS4 should drop. Is PS5 3x more powerful than the PS4?
What about buying it secondhand? What would be the best store/shop for that? eBay?
I don't game very much, just occasionally I like playing a bit of Fifa or COD offline.

The best price at least that I can remember was around 240 for the slim and 350 for the pro, which was black friday 2019. I remember it as that's when I bought. I haven't noticed any cheap pricess of late surprisingly. It's an awesome console with so many cheap games so highly recommend it if you can find it for a good price. If there are no sales maybe see if you can stretch the budget for the ps5.
You can get Pros second hand around the $300 mark on market place pretty easy.
This☝🏼. Bought PS4 Pro with 12 games and 2 controllers for $350 before Christmas. Now with more PS5 available, I would say many would be looking to sell their PS4s.
Buy on Gumtree or Facebook. Pay cash. Meet in a public place or at the seller’s house for a demo. Beware of scams.

You've missed the boat. PS4 prices reached their lowest in November/December 2019 at ~$220. I think Sony were running out of excess stocks prior to the release of PS5. Then Covid hit and since then prices have shot up to $350-400.
PS4 Prices might fall as PS5 availability improves but I think Sony will cease production before it gets too cheap.
At this stage I'd just buy used.
