  • How are these for watching movies from a distance? does the curve ruin it unless you're sitting closely?

Still contemplating if I should get this or not! VA and curved.

Arrived yesterday, played around with it last night, it's a great unit and the colours really pop but coming from 2 IPS monitors to this, the black smearing can be really noticeable. I'm sure I'll get used to it soon though.

I set mine up last night - note that HDR is off by default, need to enable "Smart HDR" - I tried it on PS5 & felt it made the black levels worse somehow (maybe the colour profile I was using?).

Currently running with HDR off, RGB & the "Movie" preset profile & it looks good, no obvious issue vs my previous 'gaming' Samsung 1ms TN panel.

Viewing angles seem okay, no issues (sitting fairly close), and it the picture & responsiveness looks fine given my use case (PS5 only).

    • Thanks for the review. I need more of this to convince me to pull the trigger. The monitor is cheap but I don’t want to buy something that I don’t like and put back in its box a few moments after I opened it. That would be a waste.

I am just concerned about the black smearing, viewing angle and the curve. Is the curve bearable? Is it something that needs to adjust to?

I bought the S2721QS back in Dec for the PS5 on desktop. I just want something bigger but I am sure the S3221QS would have inferior viewing angle and brightness to the 27” but it is bigger.

      • I’m only ever going to be sitting directly in front of it, and from that position the edge viewing angle seems fine.

The 1800R curve is less than I was expecting (I’d been looking at 1500R monitors), and it only gives a very slight feeling of difference to the 28” flat monitor I was using previously.

  • Can anyone share Dell voucher to me? Thank you so much!

    • Looks like the sale has ended now, you’ve got to jump in when it’s available for the lowest price ever! No point waiting to try and save another $20 :)

      • Yes, i want to buy Dell 27 4K UHD Monitor - S2721QS as this is on sale now :)

        • +1

Good choice! It is a very nice monitor for the price and if it came in 32” I wouldn’t mind paying $800-$900 for one.

        • Well, log it as a new bargain then!

LOVEKEANU works, gets it back to the same $357 as before.

Unlikely you'll get another voucher to stack on top.
