REP - Includes Shipping? Plus Shipping in Title?

    • Hi, It plus shipping

  • is $459 the already 40% off price?

    • Checked the website.

The prices advertised are include the price reduction already. Normally, the desks cost $780 ish here, but are usually about $1000. So these prices aren't bad if you need it.

Otherwise, you can purchase a manual standing desk from ikea for about $200.

      • Are manual standing desk any good?
Planning to have two sceens and one laptop along with keyboard, mouse, powerboard and some stationary.

        • Put the desk crank on the left hand side (if you're a righty) and balance out your arm strength :-)

    • Hi,

$459.95 is already discounted currently supplied with monitor arms.

        Hi,

Our demo video is still currently in production

How is the customer service? Also, does it have any warranty on motors? Thanks in advance!

    • Hi,

Desk comes with 10 years warranty on the motors. we will send replacement motors legs for during the period, customer will only require to pay for freight charge.

      • How much freight charges will be? I am in Melbourne western suburb.

  • Dual motor + 150KG + 10 year warranty
Those are some good prices there. Had I not bought the IKEA one week and a half ago, would have got this.

    • IKEA desk can be returned fairly easily

We are very impressed with their top notched customer service.

My son purchased a standing desk recently.and the tabletop was slightly damaged. They offered a replacement or a voucher.

  • May I buy 1400mm desktop only. got this motor frame last year

Looking for a 1000mm - 1200mm sit stand desk due to restricted space, couldn't find one in that dimension. Any suggestions for a good alternative coming in those size?

    • Yeah me too, currently using an Ikea Skarsta manual wind desk (1200x700), but would prefer a slightly smaller 1100x600 - nothing cheap in the smaller size, probably need to DIY a table top.

For the OP - are these frames any different to the Fortia dual motor ones on eBay & Amazon?

  • I'm looking to mount a desktop PC to the leg or similar so it raises with the desk for cabling reasons. I don't see the option to add that with these products, pity because they look great.

  • how this compare to omnidesk?

    • I would like to know this too

why people are not buying it and didn't get much votes either? Is it not a good deal? I wanted to buy this as my first standing desk and then read these comments.

well by the time it gets here the deal will be over. heres all the reviews for the desk from their own site. kinda tricky to notice that review tab:

          Jimmy - 7th Jul 2020 - 5 stars
The product looks and feels sturdy and robust with good quality materials. No complaints whatsoever at this point. I am absolutely happy with this purchase.

          Nabil Elhage - 19th Jun 2020 - 5 stars
Excellent quality desk. Very good price. Quick delivery. Well packed except that 3 screws were substituted with different ones that didn't fit as well. The Instructions started off well but English and clarity degenerate as they proceed. Could easily be fixed.

          Brad - 10th Jun 2020 - 5 stars
Purchased this desk a month ago, sturdy components and excellent quality. The delivery was exceptionally quick. Definitely recommended for its price.

          Harley Darmanin - 7th Jun 2020 - 5 stars
Great quality product and was delivered fast

          Lynn - 4th Jun 2020 - 4 stars:
This desk is amazing. I love the automatic/electronic height adjustment. I also love that you an opt for the 140cm, where most sit/stand desks are 160-180cm as a minimum. My only negative feedback is that considering the price tag, I was not expecting any wobble at standing height, but even typing causes the monitors to shake. From review of multiple sit/stand desks (as opposed to the adjustable shelves that sit on stationery desks) my understanding is that this is a very common issue.

          David Lutan - 4th Jun 2020 - 4 stars
A very good desk, solid base. The top is acceptable, but the profile shape is better if rectangular and the material is a bit thin, should be thicker, but still works okay.

          Unknown - 16th Sep 2019 - 4 stars
Excellent desk. Other than scratches easily

          Simone - 11th Jun 2019 - 5 stars
I have purchased a few brands of stand up desks for our workplace, and these are by far the easiest and clean line stand up desks on the market. The mechanics are also neatly tucked away underneath. They are also a great price.

          Leslie Barrett - 9th Apr 2019 - 4 stars
Easy to order from Retail Display Direct website. Good Price. Fast delivery to country NSW. The product works very well as advertised. We are happy with our purchase.

          • @SardineHead: The only thing stopping me is the freight charges which is around $40 one way and if i need replacement i will have to spend $80 to get the replacement and fix it by myself.

I can give u feedback, got it half a year ago. Solid desk, love the automated sit stand buttons. I honestly recommend it at this price, you won't find much cheaper with dual motors and 10 yrs warranty. Surface is indeed scratch proof like they say, have accidentally hit it many times and it still looks perfect. It doesn't wobble for me, can take heaps of weight, and the inside isn't made of honeycombed (semi hollow) wood (I think one of the Ikea ones is which sucks cos if you want to screw stuff in you have to use special screws).

Cons are that the instruction manual is confusing at times, there wasn't screw holes for every part, e.g. I had to screw into the wood to install the button component. There's also no cable management tray, which some competitors tables have. This can be fixed for 13$ with this tray.
      https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/signum-cable-trunking-horizonta…
(the Ikea manual is confusing but just use the normal screws, don't use the plastic ones)

Overall, at this price it's a very good deal

        • No worries :)

        Hi lbz

At full height does the table wobbler if you are heavy typer? or if you are writtiing with pen and paper?

        Thanks!

        • +1

I'd say yes, it'll have a slight wobble. Mines on carpet and raised to 110cm. If I purposefully type hard like you're saying then it wobbles a bit. But in my normal use with a mouse and keyboard it doesn't really wobble. I haven't tested many standing desks but I'd expect many would wobble when raised if you do heavy movements

          • @Ibz: Thanks mate appreciate the feedback

  • How do these compare with the Costco ones like this

    https://www.costco.com.au/Home-Furniture/Office/Office-Desks…

  • these guys use border express to ship their heavy orders. these guys have a 1.5 star rating - https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/border-express

  • I am little bit shocked, according to the previous comment from Associated RDD001

(Desk comes with 10 years warranty on the motors. we will send replacement motors legs for during the period, customer will only require to pay for freight charge.)

I just called retaildisplaydirect.com.au and checked with the associate and according to them i don't have to pay any freight charges under the warranty period.
Also, sent an email to get it in writing

  • Got a reply from the sales manager as below:
    Hi
I've confirmed the warranty conditions with the HQ, and I can confirm that the postage for the replacement leg is covered by customers.
Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the understanding.

    Kind regard,

That’s not in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law….

  • I've been looking for a while, but wasn't willing to pay $900 or so for one - even some of those were single motors. Just ordered one, will also note feedback here once I've put it together etc…

  • Got another email from them. Finally ordered one.

    Hi,

The desk frame is covered under the 10 years warranty, within this period, if the desk frame's motors go faulty, we can send you a replacement with $15.00 postage, the small component such as remote and control box could be replaced with no additional postage.

    Thanks !

    Kind regard,

    Wade | Sales Manager

  • Got the black 1400mm desk delivered today. Was kinda of a pain to assemble. First few pages of the installation manual are clear but then it starts to get unclear. Also had a few missing screws. Luckily I can find them are Bunnings. They are the screws that hold the control box and the keybad. Took 2 hours for me to assemble.

The table doesn't shake or wobble when raised below 100mm. Above 100mm and I find that it shakes. At maximum height it actually shakes quite a bit. I'm 174 cm so 110mm is perfect for me so there is very minimal shaking for me. Its actually not bad. I have to be type super hard to make it shake even a bit at 110mm. The raising and lowering of the table is really smooth. I also don't find that I have to press hard on the keypad.

So far I'm happy with the table. Would recommend it. At $500 and with the 10 year warranty i dont think you will find anything better.

    • update: although the table does have a minimal amount of wobble/shaking at 110 cm i noticed that my cheap ass north bayou h80 monitor arm was making it worse.

im now using the original stand that came with my 27GL850 and it has reduced the wobbling on my monitor when raised at 110cm.

also did a quick google search and it seems that most stand up tables wobble the further they are raised due to missing stability features such as a stability cross bar or a wedge system on the legs where they connect to the frame. this stand up desk lacks both of those features.

      https://www.btod.com/blog/2017/07/14/top-6-reasons-why-adjus…

in future if i buy another strand up desk ill buy one that either has a stability cross bar or a wedge system.

    • Assuming you mean cm when you say mm, you say above 100(c)m it shakes, but at 110(c)m there is very minimal shaking?

      • +1

yep it doesnt wobble below 100cm. at 100cm + you'll notice it wobbling the further you raise it. i still recommend it though since its cheap and it come with a 10 year warranty.

  • I bought a frame last night just in case but the price hasn't gone back up to the +$50 or whatever it was at before.
