Star is set to bring nearly 450 new movies and 155 TV series to the platform, basically doubling the size of the existing content library.

      Never going to happen. At best they will license other studios to make movies, if they are one day strapped for cash and can’t take financial risks.

    Thanks for sharing the lifehacker link. I signed up last night for 12 months and I’m finding it extremely difficult to find/filter shows based on category or show suggestions compared to Netflix and Hulu US.

    Damn, didn't know about the price hike until logged in to change to annual today for the life of me couldn't work how a $8.99 a month sub with 16% discount for annual would come to $119.99!

    Basically I am better off now staying monthly for 6 months until they hike the monthly as well.

    This post would have made my day yesterday but instead has just rubbed in that missed opportunity.

      actually a large number of films on disney plus amazon still charges for in true yank style…. so 1 month of plus is way cheaper than paying amazon extra

    Surely the price should be included in the title to watch these movies? Even if it has been documented before that the price is going up. Otherwise it doesn’t look like a deal at all and even more like a forum topic.

    Their parental controls suck.

    It'd be useful to restrict kids to the old Disney Plus content.

    I'm fine with my son watching the Simpsons, as the more adult jokes generally go over his head, I'm not fine with him watching Alien, Predator, or Die Hard.

    But all are rated M.

      It was a deal if you were on monthly and switched to annual by Monday.

      You then got a year of the Star content included at the old annual price.

    Looking at the movies in Star, I saw most of them as a teenager. I guess I was a fan of Fox films as a kid.
