    Price in title please

  • In most cases, it will still be cheaper to buy from the education store, or to buy a 50% off code from the classifieds

    • Where do you get the 50% off code for these phones?

  • +1

    you want how much?

  • You'll be booted without a price, mate.

  • +1

I think you want to put the prices in the title OP.

    • Hi mt2000 , thanks for your advice , have done it now.

  • -1

Without even looking, education store is cheaper. Also Telstra has a decent deal on them atm.

  • Price please :)

    • cheers its there now

    • Hi , we have now included the pricing .

  • This is interesting. Phones have been released last month and they are already on sale?

    • That's what happens with tech items, especially ones that get a new model every year.

Also these were likely bought via methods where you're not supposed to re-sell them. No way are they selling $400 under RRP just because they're nice, they bought them for half price and are making a massive profit at this price.

      • +5

You're so right about the "methods" comment. I paid $1400 for my 512GB Ultra just two and a half weeks ago.

The seller was a Harvey Norman employee who rocked-up to the sale meet-up in uniform. He'd used his Samsung Professional Development Credits to buy a few handsets (I saw the invoice) to make some money on the side.

Retail staff are invited to attend Samsung technical and training sessions (read: how to sell sh*t) throughout the year; subscribe to email updates etc. Attending those sessions and reading those emails earn credits which can be cashed-out in the form of product directly from Samsung Australia.

That's why the market (eg Gumtree) was flooded with "Sealed. Unwanted gift" devices all over the place within a week or two of launch.

A couple of weeks ago I made a bad life choice.😦 I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. To say I am/was disappointed would be a HUGE understatement.

The screen is stunning. The UI is pretty clean. It's a super-responsive unit overall.

But, despite all the hype and fanfare from thousands of US-based users and reviewers, I found the camera performance (primary use case for me) to be a red hot pile of garbage. Seriously, it's actually taken some of the fun out of my photography as images now require extensive work to make them presentable.

So what's going on here? Based on experiences from other users here in Australia and Europe, I'm firmly of the view that the code running on Exynos 2100 processor is to blame. These devices rely heavily on in-camera image processing and whatever the hell Samsung is doing with the Exynos variant needs a do-over to get the same results as the Snapdragon 888 SOC. Seriously, my old Google Pixel 4XL smokes the S21 Ultra for image detail, colour rendering and sharpness.

I need to make a decision, ASAP, about whether I eat the cost and just sell it on OR wait and see if Samsung deliver a firmware update. Unfortunately, I purchased my unit from an individual (not a store) and can't return it for a refund.

My S20 has been getting reasonably frequent firmware updates that include "Improved Camera Performance" as a changelog entry, so you might be lucky.

      • Yeah. It feels like playing at a casino ;-)

I can get a quick $1300 for it here and cut my losses or dial-up my rate/quality of prayer to $deity.

        • +1

i hate my S20 for this reason. Hate this Exynos crap

          • @jOlv: Thank you SO MUCH for replying. I forgot to raise a sale order with Mazuma. DONE!

Farewell S21 Ultra, you steaming hot (literally and figuratively) pile of crap.

Is it just me, or is the battery life pretty lacking as well? It gets about the same battery life as my 3yo OnePlus 5t.

(And yes, I have used it long enough for it to learn my usage patterns)

      • Battery life has not met my expectations.

I charge to 90% and then take it off the charger. I'm getting well-under 7 hours of screen-on time (using AccuBattery Pro for stats tracking) with a mix of WiFi and cellular data usage. Screen brightness is set to auto.

Despite the huge (5,000mAh) battery in the S21, I get better battery life, with like-for-like daily usage, from my 14mth old Pixel 4XL (which has a comparatively small 3,700mAh) battery.

Just FYI guys, I stumbled upon this yesterday and these phones were listed for cheaper yesterday e.g. 512GB for $1699. So the prices have been infact increased overnight prior to posting this deal. I wonder why! I mean it is still a good price but bit of a mystery.
The crux is this deal is not the best offering by Cellaphone and they have more margin to give discount depending on the price they sourced it for. I would suggest to wait and not but at the above lised prices unless you really "need" it.

    • good to know

  • I bought S21Ultra at Samsung store Sydney. the phone is great. but it is dead in 10 days BY ITSELF!. Then i want to get a repair, this is what i get from Samsung reply.

"Thank you for reaching us here at Samsung.

Our technicians have had the chance to assess your Samsung device.

As a result, our technicians have confirmed a major manufacturing fault, in this instance as the fault is considered major I am able to offer you three remedies. "

These three remedies are very minimal, each taking more than 20 business days. my experience with other phone brands are "if it is a major fault, you get exchange new phone within 4 days."

I am so disappointing. i paid in Jan and i cannot use my phone probably until mid of March.

    • cellAphone store is good. i am just commenting on the Samsung phone itself.

    • Did you chuck a "Karen" at them? You should otherwise..

      • +1

        I should…

  • Here's a JB price match link that I decided not to use, expires midnight. Could be postcode locked to 3805, not sure how it works.

    Is it snapdragon?

    • Have you read into it or are you asking because eXyNoS?

  • Are these refurbished models? As they don't say -Brand New- like the S20 ones do on the site.

  • I purchased the phone. But I have not received a tax invoice. I have emailed [email protected] but I haven't had a response. Can the rep please get in touch with me? I need the invoice.

    • Invoice received from the store. Thanks
