Cheapest Unlimited Data (Speed Limited) Plan

Trying to find a suitable plan for my teenage kids. I'm doing the sim shuffle each month and TBH such a PITA.

They're on Vodafone at the moment with a $9 for $30 starter pack. This is giving 40GB (normally 15GB) at full speed then unlimited data at 1.5mbps.

Which is fine. They only use their phones and videos/tiktok/insta etc is all fine at that speed. But $30x3 is too much. [Edit: Just realised if I do auto-recharge it drops down to $25. Still more than I want to pay but so far found nothing better.]

Are there alternatives I haven't considered?

      I did look at them a while ago. The only plan I saw was $35/mth.

      Do they have a cheaper option now?

        How much do you expect to pay? I would say $35 for an unlimited mobile plan is pretty good value

          Maybe. But x3. Single Dad. And still $10/mth each more than the Vodafone option.

          I'm not debating the benefit of 20mbps vs 1.5mbps - that's a given. But the latter speed will do them.

    If they want more fast data let them do the sim dance themselves (there's always half price belong sims with referrer credit etc). They can pay with pocket money or a job. If they're not willing to spend their own money on data and are willing to find WiFi or not watch tiktok all day then great.

      Do you have a link to the $10 plan? I've been on their site and they have a $25 and a $40 plan.

        You can change to the $10/month after your first month, it isn't available for new users. But at least when you start off you'll have a reserve of a number of GB that stay in your data bank until you need them

    Gee. How much data are they using?

    I did recommend woollies mobile to someone last week. There is the added bonus of 10% for a shop every month.
