        Make sure it's not an international model. The iPhone 6s I purchased for this trade was MA1688 which after failing the Trade Up test, Samsung livechat informed me was ineligible. Suitable AU models are MA1634, MA1687, MA1699.

          The S7 I bought second hand originally was an international model so that's going back to the eBay plus seller on Monday

          The trade up app said this S7 model wasn't eligible

    Just a tip regarding the $50 code. Mine did not arrive after using 3 Gmail addresses but got it within an hour after using a Hotmail address.

    Just placed an order for the ultra 128gb, its under review now. Not sure what that means.

        I have asked 2 x live chats and they said Asurion will charge a fee. They dont know how much the fee will be but you wont be able to get the device back if they dont accept it.

      To my understanding, you agree to pay back the agreed amount , they didn't mention the return or not.
      To Samsung, the whole transaction is already finished.
      To trade up company, they has the agreement to cover that " agreed amount".
      Therefore, if you have concern, Don't send the phone back, let them charge your card is the optimal choice.

          $500 comes form Samsung.
          The contract they signed with you only mention the " agreed amount " of your phone.

          on receipt they group all discounts into one only, so, much likely you will have to pay the big difference. best way is to get a sscond hand s7 s9 or a51 a71 etc for $150-200, still worth the discount

            The receipt comes from Samsung, they have the agreement with the tradeup company to guarantee "tradeup" money.
            Therefore, to them the deal is done.

            The value drops from $350 to $25 if they consider it a damage so was just wondering

    Ok got the $200 voucher just now, it was fairly easy got it on the first try.

    Now the decision… Should I get the Ultra 128GB for $479 or the Plus 128GB for $179, coming from a S20+.

      If you want the better camera and/or s-pen support, get the ultra. If neither of those interest you get the plus. Surely you'd get the 256gb version though since there's no SD card slot.

    Just got the $200 code also. As other have mentionee all I said was I was looking to upgrade to one of the new Samsung galaxy s21 phones and a friend was offered a $200 voucher code.
    They came back straight away saying if I was interested in getting one they could offer a $200 code which she generated pretty quickly.
    Must be used within 7 days fr what they said. I have tested the code and it works on the ultra. Will look to place an order at some stage in the next couple of days

    iPhone SE 2016 qualifies but fails the gyroscope test on the upgrade app due to bug - phone actually in perfect condition.

    I know this was discussed back somewhere in the early pages.
    Did anyone have any success getting past this problem?
    Really wanting to trade my iphone SE 2016 for upgrade.

    And now that a lot of people will be sending their current mobile phones back to Samsung, what are some of the best ways to backup data, contacts (sync apps) and wipe everything off the phone so that a stranger won't access your accounts? I have S10 Plus and have different Google search results of how to go about it. Just wanna know what methods people are using before I screw things up when the new phone arrives.

      Contacts and bookmarks should be synced with your Google account. That way you can always access them from any device anywhere. I back up the other stuff eg apps, sms messages and homescreen to my Samsung account. I usually don't restore apps and homescreen from a backup, though, as it doesn't always play well and can cause battery drain.

      To wipe your phone, just do a factory reset and be sure to remove your sd card. Nothing else is required.

        Lol! Yeah, if you have "special" stuff there then you might need to do more than a factory reset, I guess (according to a couple of online links I've just checked). Encryption was one of the things they mentioned, among other methods, to make sure no one else will be able to recover your data.

          You can connected it to PC and copy as backup. WhatsApp do a local backup and copy everything under WhatsApp folder to PC. I found that smart switch won't copy the sent folder.
