[VIC] GreenLeaf 250kg Poly Garden Cart with Tipping Function $39.99, (50% off) @ Coles Flemington, Melbourne Showgrounds

40

Going past Coles at the showgrounds I decided to jump in and check for any unique stuff and was pleasantly surprised to find a very small homewares/gardening section next to the ice-cream freezers with a limited range of items reduced, none noteworthy except for this Gardening Cart…

The usual price indicated is $79.99 but on eBay, Amazon and Catch they are $99, and sell for that.

So if you want to move a lot of rocks, dirt, mulch etc around and need to easily tip it out, I can see this as a great option.
Also great for dumping in your gardening equipment and wheeling it around your garden for ease of access.

    Did you buy one? How easy is it to tip when loaded? The price covers the picture but from what I can see it looks like it'll take brute strength to tip.

    And 250kg on those wheels… Not through a garden bed.

    Otherwise this would be ozbargains new favourite beach trolley. Carrying more than 50kg on sand and when the kids are being turds you can threaten to tip them out

    • I didn't buy it, but did find a video on the tipping function, does seem like it will take a little bit of work… https://youtu.be/zg854wCiXu8?t=25

        That vid is quite funny. Between being empty when tipped and going up the pavers with a three wheeler the wrong way..

        I think tipping a regular wheelbarrow with a rigid handle will be significantly easier. Good price on a dud product imho. This is for the elderly and kids who need convenience and stability of the fourth wheel, not capacity

        That's if they can't afford this, of course

        • For "commercial use":
          * Consumption: 1.1L at 3000rpm
          * Fuel Volume: 1 L

          Which company, that uses a wheelbarrow, could only work it at <1 hour at a time?

          Then:
          * change the engine oil after 50 hours
          * adjust brakes/calipers every 50 hours
          You'd need ramps to unload it as it weighs 105kg…before you put in a load

          (At least the battery version last 8 hours…)

          Think I'll stick with a wheelbarrow or this cart…less headaches and maintenance

  • Can anyone confirm if this is on sale at any other Coles?

    • Wife got one for $30 at our local Coles (rural NSW) so I would say it is store specific.
