  • I tried to buy the Catch Connect 60GB sim $89 but when I was directed to Latitude Pay website, all I saw was a payment plan totalling $89. There is no $25 discount. Did I miss something? Can someone clarify?

    • Catch and Catch Connect are different.

      • Catch.com.au also sells Catch Connect 365 day plan and at the payment option, the Latitude Pay shows spend $75+ and get $25 off.

        • +3

I was after the same thing, but then read the Ts&Cs. :(

  • Does anyone know if latitude pay makes multiple credit checks for subsequent purchases?

  • +1

is it normal to get first email saying ""Welcome to LatitudePay!

We are pleased to inform you that you qualify to use LatitudePay and can now pay over 10 weekly instalments."" then another 2 minutes later saying ""Unfortunately, at this moment in time, we're unable to approve your application. When assessing an application, we rely upon information from a number of sources, including information provided by you and the credit report provided by Experian."" ?

maybe i shouldnt have checked the first box to do a credit check?

    • +2

happened to me the first time I signed up. 2 weeks later they said it was a mistake, and gave me a $50 credit for any store.

      • did you have to reply or just contact them? did they open up the account or just offer you $50 to keep you quiet?

        • +1

just did it with no effort on my part

  • Paypal Latitude is broken, anyone else?

  • Am I still eligible for this promo if I used the $50 off $150 spend last October?

    • +1

Yes. This is a new promo. They are mutually exclusive on a venn diagram.

  • Where is the option to pay with latitude pay?

    Only options I see are:
    - Interest Free
    - Credit Card
    - PayPal

  • I made a purchase on Kogan with no worries. Then did the same on Catch, discount was applied in checkout but they charged the full amount to my credit card. I have submitted an inquiry. I hate to think how many people lose money by never checking these things.

    • The amount goes to latitude pay. Do you mean the full amount is showing in latitude pay?

    • +1

That's now how LatitudePay works afaik it should only charge the amount owing divided by ten as the first payment (ie if amount owing is say $100 then it'll only charge the linked card $10 at the time of purchase and the rest as $10 weekly payments for 9 weeks). You might have mistakenly selected to pay via credit card as opposed to LatitudePay during COTD checkout me thinks.

      • Sorry, I meant they invoiced me the correct amount including the discount, I chose to pay it off in full immediately, and then they overcharged my credit card.

        • That's weird should be initial payment and then 9 x initial amount to pay it off in full unless you had some money owing on there already.

          • @dins: Your request (1151540) has been received and is being reviewed by our support staff.

This was on Friday morning and there is still no reply, does anyone have experience following up with Latitude Pay?

            • @DoctorArd: Sorry champ I myself haven't had to deal with their CS only used them a couple of times for these promos and things have gone fine. It's weird what has happened in your case hopefully they sort it out for you.

So to save $50 you’ll have to get a credit check, give all your personal information to a finance company that will then harass you to continue to use their service?
All while trying to get you in a debt trap so they can finally make a profit off you?

Has anyone had any experience with these companies

    • Easiest $50 ever.

    • +2

Has anyone had any experience with these companies

Have you read through the comments under the deal?

  • +1

If anyone is wondering with Kogan at least you can split payments into gift card (purchase GC/s first and add to account) and then the rest ($75+ after applying the GC amount during checkout) you can select LatitudePay as payment to get the $25 off.

Registration with LatitudePay was declined and can confirm a credit activity was recorded.

  • Are the remaining 9 payments automatic or I have to logon to Latitude Pay and pay manually?

I already linked a Visa card

    • +2

Automatic. But you can choose to manually pay instalment or the whole lot off early.

  • I logged in to Catch and went to checkout. I couldn’t find LatitudePay as a payment option. Does your Catch account email have to match your LatitudePay email?

    • do you have credit or club catch membership or Catch connect product in cart?

      • I had Catch store credit on my Catch account.

  • +2

Party over. Hopefully everyone got a nice discount.

  • I didn’t check the box during signup for latitude to perform a credit check (I.e. I didn’t approve them to perform a check) yet that is now an inquiry from latitude on my report. Go figure.

  • +1

went to HN nearby and was told i have to pay “full price” if i choose latitude pay. Price match is only for cash and card payments. Is it reasonable or i was misled?

    • As in you asked for $50 instore? If so, then yes it was reasonable because the deal was for online only. Any reason you couldn't have just done it online for click and collect using the deal?

      • the email did not mention online only,
“*LatitudePay FOMO PROMO runs from 21 April to 11.59pm on 23 April 2021. Available at selected retailers only. To redeem offers applied by LatitudePay, select LatitudePay at checkout and the discount will be deducted at the LatitudePay Payment Schedule. Offer is for single use only per merchant. Minimum spend amounts apply and vary per merchant.”

        • Hmm yes you’re right. I wonder if they’d be nice enough to give you an extra credit if you contacted them and told them that you missed out because of that.
