  • Popular deal - dipping my toe in for 500g

Can't be in the situation when I was out and had to give the Aldi bean a go due to half decent reviews here (spoiler, not good)

    • Hey Miso - thaks so much for giving us a go! Welcome to AIRJO :)

Please let us know how they go for you.

      Sincerely
      Dan

  • I gotta admit that Airjo beans are solid tasting and the customer service has, in my experience, been on point. If I hadn't recently bought beans I'd be buying. If you're on the fence because you doubt if they'll taste decent give them a go.

    • Super grateful for the kind words sjtem3 - thank you.

  • Can anyone compare these to merlo? Am a fan of Marlo but haven't ventured further

  • Have never tried Sumatra beans before. What are the tasting notes?
Are they good as espresso shots or milk based ?

    • Hey Icyfire - sincere apologies for the delayed reply.

We have customers both shot drinking and milk based drinking that love these beans.
      Personal preference as always.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • I like my coffees strong but not bitter and have a Sunbeam Barista Express that I use with the inbuilt grinder. What beans do I go for Sumatra or Enterprise? Usually drink a Latte or Piccolo.

    • Hey gadgetfreak - apologies for the late reply.

Either of the Sumatra or Enterprise will be delicious for you in a good shot.
You may find the Enterprise is a little more rounded in flavour profile given the blend.
That said, can't go wrong with either.

      Hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Cheers Dan. I reckon I will order Sumatra this time around and then try Enterprise next. About to place the order. Thanks.

        • Great stuff - please let me know how it goes for you.
          Thanks so much.

          • @AIRJO CoffeeRoasters: Made 2 coffees this morning. The beans are spot on and they taste so good. They are so fresh and the shots that I pulled were one of my personal best. You have got a customer for life Dan.

@gadgetfreak28: Hey gadgetfreak28, I'm also using Barista Express, do you mind sharing what is the dosage and grind settings? Cheers!

              • @OCD: My grind size is set to 13 and I use 20 grams of coffee for a double shot. Extraction time is between 25 and 30 seconds. I also run a cleaning cycle when I change the type/brand of beans that I use (every 4 weeks or so).

  • Bought a 1kg bag, cheers! Looking forward to trying it.

    • Great to hear Jiyujin!! Thanks so much.
Please let us know what you think.

      Kind Regards
      Dan

  • Ordered, thanks Dan

  • First time order. Positive and happy customers on ozbargain is always a good sign :)
    Looking forward to beans. Cheers.

    • Hey junji82 - Thanks so much for your order and welcome to AIRJO :)
Super keen to hear your feedback when you have tried the beans.

      Thanks again.
      Dan

  • Ordered yesterday and delivered to NSW just now. Thanks Dan. My neighbour also wants to try, so gave him the link. Cheers.

Great result all round there haiprazzad!!
Thanks so much for the recommendation.

      Sincerely
      Dan

  • Thanks Dan, I always keep my eyes open for these deals on Sumatra :)

  • I just ordered a 1kg from eBay this morning 😬
Only time I don’t jump on oz bargain first

  • Got my beans this morning; really quick delivery. Do you have a recommended espresso recipe?

  • Got my beans this morning. Super quick delivery. Roast on date is 20/04. On breville express, grind setting of 4 I'm getting 19 second pour - 18g beans in 36g liquid out (1:2 ratio). This is using non pressurised basket .

Is anyone else with this machine getting similar results? Pour is too quick. Need to adjust grind size further down. Is it because beans haven't had time to de gas?

Yeah you want 23-24 seconds, and no more than 30 seconds.Tried 19/38 or 20/40? This video might help - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWbupoN53Po … they are fresh, so you may find yourself adjusting settings pretty quickly. Or just let them settle a few days first.

  • Ordered on Tuesday, received today (Thursday) in Sydney.

  • Anyone know which country Airjo beans are sourced from?

Damn mine was ordered and shipped almost immediately (and I received Aus Post confirmation that it was on its way) but nothing since! (Adelaide) I know its only 2 days but come on Aus Post…this doesn't seem like express! I'm out of beans too :'(

    • Same here :( Hopefully they arrive tomorrow/Friday!!

      • mines coming today according to the message I got. Hopefully it comes soon.. need a coffee..

Yea same here but the other 1KG that I got for my friend was sent to Tasmania incorrectly and we won't be getting it until next week! Not happy!!

Just received my bag of Sumatra Coffee Beans today. These beans are very aromatic, with plenty of crema, and the coffee taste really good. My cup of coffee from these beans easily beats coffee from many cafes. I will definitely order more.

  • Very nice. I don't have coffee often, but when I do I load it with milk and sugar/syrup. I'm doing intermittent fasting so no milk and sugar when I'm fasting. Your deal came up and I decided to grab some and give black coffee a go. I brewed it in the Aeropress. That's a good cup of coffee.

    • Are you doing the 5-2 diet? I started it a few months ago and haven't looked back. You feel so much better without doing much in terms of work outs etc.

      • I just eat one or two meals per day (whatever I feel like, sometimes I'm not hungry when it's time for my second). Then fast for a minimum of 16 hours after. Sometimes it's 16 hours, sometimes it's 27. I've been doing some cardio to go with it, but IF helps with that too, I have much more energy when I'm fasted.

        • That's great. I need to get back into the routine for some sort of workout, but the 5-2 was just a starting point for me. All the best.
