Where can you find all that with a 3080 for a similar price? One that actually has an ETA and not an indefinite timeline.

    • +6

3080s are selling for 2.5-3k on eBay so getting a whole system, screen and peripherals for $200 is not bad

    • +7

What the fudge? Please link a deal, or put together something comparable, with a full 3080 desktop & 27" 240hz monitor for ~$3200 (sans CR).

    • +4

you're dreaming. Just a 5900X and 3080 sell for more than this whole PC atm.

    • +1

Can you order me one of those too please…

      • Is it possible to pull out the 3080 and 10700K to sell?

Would be nice, and adding a 9500 in for day to day use.

        • Idk
I want the 32GB RAM and a 2TB SSD. Oh and a Ryzen 5900X 3080 system Nukkels is selling.

          • +1

@randomusername2017: Throw up the deal if he has 10 available… From sounds of it, in nukkels dimension everything is freely available and at good prices…. Probably setting up an inter dimension store just doesn't want the govt to find out…. queue fringe theme song or x files

            • +1

@scud70: Quoting a 2year lead time ..so pricing sounds about right.. not sure if 2023 delivery qualifies as an unobtainable deal though…

    • Worried 10 Home

This is the turn-off for me, look at Alienware trying to slide in a fake version of Windows 10 :)

      im joking guys lol

  • Someone mentioned this in the comments of the other deal

    • Yeppp

    • +8

My comments/deals have been lifted from other threads before. So does it matter? It's an independent deal from the original.

I posted a comment in 1 of the other deals, that got 1 up, then was turned into a 200+ deal. I've been posting these recently and honestly can't say I saw that comment. I just saw another Dell deal and thought to check.

      • Fair enough, not everyone digs through the comments so it's own post is probably a good idea.

    • I'm going to mention this in the comments of your comment:

      1. This monitor has a real world value of $400 max due to general prices and Dell's own sales. If you get wildly lucky, you might get someone on eBay panic buying it for $600, but that's a pretty speculative effort, not to mention morally bankrupt.

      2. GPU supply and price drops are coming, source:

      https://videocardz.com/driver/nvidia-geforce-game-ready-466-…

This driver updates the hash limiter for the GeForce RTX 3060 12GB and is required for product shipped starting mid-May.

      • +1

Hopefully it works properly this time. Demands is pretty high for the cards even without the miners so I don't see it dropping dramatically soon but more stock being available is definitely a big step in the right direction.
I don't think I've commented on the value of the monitor but I'd say the extra ~$500 of this bundle is worth it over the other deal if you don't already have a gaming monitor, keyboard, mouse and headset. Not to mention better CPU and a bigger HDD.
A 1440p 144Hz monitor would have been a much better fit for the rest of the build though

  • Man, Dell must really loooove Keanu Reeves or something.

I think this is a decent enough deal considering the state of the market right now. RAM and storage aren't a big deal, but like the guy above said, AMD would have been nicer, if not the 5900X (could easily upgrade to it later down the line).

    • Yeah, can't believe how long this code has been active, lol.
It was there before Cyberpunk release and they kept the code despite the negative response to the game

      • cyberpunk is meh, but keanu is still goat

    • Seems like Intel CPUs are just easier get, not to mention Dell loves making custom everything, so adapting to AMD would likely not be easy

      • Dell just aren't interested in offering AMD seriously. They have a tiny selection and won't put them in their best laptops like XPS

  • Will this thing run ok without the GPU? Just wondering how stupid you would be to buy this and sell the GPU for working from home?

    • +3

      You need a GPU.

    • +1

These i7s don't have an igpu so you'd need to find another.

    • +1

My advise is to buy a 2D graphic card like this https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/274292755462?hash=item3fdd1f4c06…, so you can focus on work.

      • No HDMI/DP port that most monitors accept nowadays?

      • +3

For real though, at least get something like a GT 1030 that has a VP9 hardware decoder so that YouTube plays back smoothly.

…though I guess YouTube is also a distraction lol.

    • +1

this is a KF so it doesn't have integrated graphics. You could possibly just sell that 3080 and get a GT1030 to get a display output. Won't need to worry about any power connectors either since it's powered through the PCI-E slot.

  • +1

It says 6% on Alienware, 1.5% on Monitors and 0% on accessories cahsback. Not sure if CR would track the full amount, partially or would get rejected.

    • Added an edit to suggest it maybe less.

      • is the kb, mouse and headset included in the $3231 price? Or just the monitor? When i add to cart doesn't mention anything regarding those.

        • +1

If you add to cart then click on 'Show Full Specs' and scroll down, you'll see
          "Accessories
Alienware 510M Gaming Mouse - AW510M; Alienware 510H 7.1 Gaming Headset AW510H - Dark Side of the Moon; Alienware 510K Low-Profile RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (US English) AW510K- Dark Side of the Moon"

          • +1

@Testeagle: I just realised this. That makes this a ridiculously good deal now.

            • +1

@jace88: Yeah I thought this was good at $3254.08, but the same with Monitor and Accessories sealed it for me.

              • @Testeagle: Are those estimated delivery times reliable? I'm about to buy now but those delivery times are what's stopping me.

    • +2

FYI, I finally bit the bullet and bought this setup and cashrewards has tracked it as $88.12

      • Seems it valued the PC at $1500.
I'm having a hard time choosing between this, and the HP omen 32gb ram 10700k 1tbssd and 3 cooler GPU(better looking case too) which I can get for $3000.
If I'm to buy this bundle, I need to sell at least the monitor for $400 to get the value of the HP. Would bring it down to $2800 and can upgrade at least the RAM to 32gb.. However the Omens have better cooling of the case and GPU. Decisions, decisions…

        • Is that in stock or made to order? Happen to have a link?

          • +2

@Testeagle: student store, it is $4000 and i have a 25% off voucher
            https://store.hp.com/au-en/default/desktops/gaming/omen-desk…
            student store has it $4k, -25% =$3000.
I'm thinking it's a much better deal because of the 3 fan GPU, better case cooling and nicer looking…
I guess I might sleep on it and just wait for a better deal. Everytime I've thought i've missed out something, something better shows up lol

            • @Winston100s: Ah not bad. Might be worth considering that then.

            • @Winston100s: Was it difficult to get the 25% off voucher?

              • +1

@jace88: that is from 6 months ago for a canceled transacation on an obelisk desktop

      • My shopback tracked $172.19. Although I have another $100 advantage discount code applied since I recently bought another laptop. So without code should be a bit more. Approved by 15th July, so need to see what happens then

        • WHat is the ETA for delivery? is there a cutoff time for shipping and shopback payment?

      • I'm waiting for my CR to track too! I also bit the bullet. Debated upgrading CPU but decided i9 bragging rights without much performance gains not worth $300.

        EDIT: Mine tracked AUD 176.24

        • Do you have an ETA yet?

          • +1

@PlagueistheCheap: Just says estimated to arrive by 28 June… nearly two months away :(

            • @jace88: Thanks, I want to order this but im not going to order that far in advance. This system was $3700 3 weeks ago and people who ordered then are still weeks away from receiving theirs.

Who knows what could change in the next month.

              • +1

@PlagueistheCheap: Fair point. I think this is now listed as clearance so it’ll probably just keep dropping gradually whenever it doesn’t sell out.

                • +1

@jace88: I think it will sell out prior to another price drop. Price is a cracker. I'll prob settle for a 3070 system that will arrive quicker.

                  • +1

@PlagueistheCheap: Yeah I thought this is a huge drop from last time so didn’t want to miss out now. FOMO.

                    • +2

@jace88: It's hard to pass up the 3080 and the accessories. I was on the fence for the last month or 2. But this was to good.

                  • +1

@PlagueistheCheap: I think the 3070 is a good bet. It's a good match to screen as well.

                    • @Testeagle: I jelly of those with the 3080 system. Just not keen to wait 2 months for a dell.

                      • +1

@PlagueistheCheap: ipac mentioned in the another post "Called Dell and was told the next batch of 3080 would arrive on 5 May."
Now depending on build time this might mean they come out quicker than estimated.

  • +3

Pairing a RTX 3080 with a 1080p monitor seems kind of odd, although I suppose maybe its so you could hit the 240hz refresh rate. I'd imagine a high refresh rate 1440p monitor would be a better match.

    • +2

maybe dell is clearing these 1080p gaming monitor.

    • +2

You can get 1080p 360Hz these days, and 1440p 240Hz.

What's more perplexing is the people who actually manage to sell the monitor for $600, presumably relying on product research that involves exclusively researching 27" Dell 240Hz monitors. I actually got a thread ban last time for calling it a scummy practice.

    • Personally the screen is a bonus which I'm gonna give to the missus for her PC. Still worth a few hundred.

      • That was my thought process too with WFH :)

    • There's also no option to upgrade the monitor :(

  • I can't tell for sure but is the monitor the white or the black? Curious if I were to go for this deal (I love to dream) whether I'd go for the white or black case chassis.

    • I'd want white. Makes it feel like a prop from a cheesy Scifi movie.

  • So this values the ‘extras pack 1TB of HDD storage as $524.41 (after Cashrewards) in case anyone (like me) was wondering.

Given the above comments citing that you might struggle to get $400 selling on the monitor due to sales to buy this if you personally don’t want all the stuff seems ill informed.

I kinda want the keyboard and mouse to smooth out the whole RGB of the rig and just have one control centre but not worth the extra IMHO.

  • +1

The White Chassis does not appear to be in stock anymore. Only the black

    • In hindsight I wish I had gotten white. After reading comparisons, the white has 4 RGB zones whereas black only has 2. Not that it makes any difference but it does sound just a tiny bit better.

(for those wondering where the 2 extra zones are, I think it's the Alienware logo/wording on the right side, and the vents around the circle light on the front)

  • How upgradable is the RAM on this. Is it easy to get 3rd party RAM modules for this motherboard or are you stuck with Dell RAM modules?

    • +1

Anything <= 3200Mhz @ XMP should work. 4 slots insides, but the space between slots are smaller than normal ATX motherboard. Thicker RAMs (cooling armor) struggles if you install 4 of them.
XMP profile with > 3400Mhz will fail applying the XMP in DELL's Bios and stay at ~2400mhz or possibly lower

  • This is a great deal sadly i got no money

    • Same here, tax time is coming though…

  • Surprised no one has mentioned using KONG7 to bring it down to $3176.37 + cashback. Or am I missing something?

    • I didn’t have any report saying kong7 is eligible for cashback, maybe try and cancel if not tracked.

      • oh true. I could be wrong then about the cashback. Haven't personally tested.

    • +1

I did see something in the Cashrewards T&Cs that basically said only Keanu was eligible for cash back, but I’m happy to be proven wrong.

In general I’d rather pay less now than wait on something that may not clear.

      • Considering the delivery timeframe we have plenty time to Call them to cancel if not tracked in the next few days

        • +1

It works out $26 more expensive after keanu gets its cashback, so maybe worth it if like me you kinda don’t trust cashback. Plus you might still get approved for cashback which would make it like $50 cheaper.

          • @cc23: LoveKeanu seems to have been tracking based on comments so $3231 less $176.24 = $3,054.76.. but will be a while before it gets final approved.

            • @jace88: Nah as confirmed in op keanu tracks at $81 I think

              • @cc23: My $176 is what tracked from CR when I ordered this build today… unless the amount approved ends up varying? But with these referrals you never know so YMMV.

  • Can you add a second GPU to the MB? thinking about doubling it up as a mining PC

    • it barely have enough space/air flow even with 1 gpu…highly doubt u can fit another in…
besides i dont think this is good for mining anyway, unless u add an extra fan and mod the gpd (for cooling)…

    • I’m gonna go with no given case dimensions and the video reviews which indicate cramped case withers than ideal ventilation.

Whether you could theoretically do it in a janky no case cover with extra PSU hanging on the side however is a different matter.

    • Almost impossible to get it done under reasonable temperature & noise level.
At least you need a PCI-E extension cable / riser to install another GPU outside the case and use additional fan to cool it.
1000W PSU inside is pretty strong and having 2 spare 8-pin connectors, which can be possibly used for another GPU

  • +2

Hey guys im a massive noob when it comes to pc building hence why this deal is really appealing to me. Who is this thing going to run Microsoft flight sim 2020? I'm not interrrsted in streaming etc… Just want to run fight sim and car racing sims at a high enough resolution. Thanks in advance

    • +1

This will have more than enough grunt to run that I would think. 3080 is pretty top tier in video cards, the RAM isn't crazy, but you're only playing and not streaming. With the GPU/CPU/RAM combo you should be more than fine. You'll probably run at 1080p due to screen limitations:
      "Native Resolution
      Full HD (1080p) 1920 x 1080 (DisplayPort: 240 Hz, HDMI: 240 Hz)"

A 3080 should cover that easy.

The 3080 should allow for you to upgrade screen to 4k screen and still run well.

    • Some benchmarking from a flight sim forum.

      https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/rtx-3080-benchmarks-are…

    • Here's someone showing some tests at different resolutions
      https://youtu.be/YtGcNWZIwAg

    • It'll be excellent for that, and it's an all in one pack which I think makes it great for a first PC gamer. If I didn't already have an accumulation of stuff over the years, this would have been an ideal first gaming PC setup with the keyboard, mouse, headset and monitor IMO.

The comments about cooling/noise/heat are not going to be an issue if you're just using it purely for gaming (vs. 24/7 cryptomining or some other hardcore thing).

  • +1

I just looked at the details on this and it definitely comes with the monitor, but is it definitely the RGB Alienware keyboard and mouse? As the picture of the deal seems to suggest it is, but nothing in the cart on your way to check out says about the headset, mouse and keyboard, just lists the monitor.

Never mind, just found it at the bottom.

    ALSO INCLUDED IN THIS SYSTEM
The following options and default selections are included with your order.

    Alienware 510M Gaming Mouse - AW510M
Alienware 510H 7.1 Gaming Headset AW510H - Dark Side of the Moon
Alienware 510K Low-Profile RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (US English) AW510K- Dark Side of the Moon

    • My read is it comes with both the standard crappy Dell KBM but also the Alienware gear which even discounted, is still worth a few hundred bucks on Gumtree.

  • is the sale over? I've just tried, and it's like 5k??

    • Yeah it looks like all the R11 deals are down. This could potentially mean they are ending the R11s or maybe they are gonna do a new lot of deals to sell off what's left, if any.

  • Think it’s done

  • Looks like the deal has finished. I suspect it’s fully cleared out given the link to the build says no longer available.

  • OMG, such a great deal. The monitor, the keyboard, mouse…

When I have money the deal is gone :(
