  • I thought so hard about buying this, but I don’t expect it to arrive on launch day if I order today.

Happy to pay $9 more to buy at a local store and have it for the weekend.

Decent price if you’re not desperate to play ASAP though

It does say delivery tomorrow for Prime members, my experience with Amazon delivery has been flawless.

It's also $80.90 at HN if you have one local to you and want to pick it up.

      • +1

        It's 'released' tomorrow, not delivered.

        Estimated Delivery: May 11, 2021

Generally we do get launch day delivery in Sydney CBD but not for this one (or maybe too late).

        • Says on the app, Free delivery tomorrow for Prime members.

        • +1

depends on where its being dispatched from and who the courier company it is with.

      • +1

I've never had a launch day delivery from Amazon. It's usually 2-5 business days late. I guess I can't complain when I think I'd rather save $5-10 and wait. Still annoying though.

      • +1

Cheers will price match at EB.

      • Preordered 5 games since Jan 2020. All arrived on or before release date. FF7 Remake was early. Mine also says arriving tomorrow.

    • +1

I’m in QLD & always get new release titles on Tuesday or Wednesday the following week. Agree if you want to play it this weekend, shop local.

    • Just pick one up tomorrow at EB games.Just did a order with Amazon for delivery on Tues 11/5, will return ebgames copy once i receive this one. That way you have a copy to play over the weekend.

  • Just a heads up I pre-ordered this on April 17 and it says arriving May 11 to June 16, I'm a Prime member in Melbourne city. Probably just going to cancel and buy instore tomorrow. HN have price matched this.

    • +1

I pre-ordered this on Monday and it says it will arrive to me tomorrow before 11pm. I am a prime member in Melbourne also. I would suggest cancelling and re-ordering on Amazon and see if the arrival time changes.. perhaps you chose the wrong delivery option.

      • Yeah I ordered mine end of last week and says the same (Sydney). Has yet to actually ship and I haven't previously had good experiences with Amazon pre-orders.

      • Weird, just checked and its definitely Expedited Delivery. I have to head out South tomorrow on the road for work anyway so I'll just head into a HN and pick up a copy.

  • I got this with the $20 off $79 voucher code from whatever deal that was a few weeks ago, so $60.90. Delivery ETA is May 11 to June 2, though, with Prime Expedited (Perth). I'm not fussed about getting it tomorrow, but I might contact customer service and see if there's any chance of a $10 credit anyway :P

  • Reviews look pretty good.
Wonder if it was made for PS5 or tweaked for
    Never played a RE game

    • +5

Maybe you should try out RE7 from ps collection before starting RE8

      • Ok, downloaded
This was supposedly incredibly scary on VR

  • I ordered on Tuesday and it still hasn't been sent so I cancelled and will buy from Hardly Normal for the same price, you also get the pre-order bonus, whatever that is? They also have Ghost of Tsushima for $68 if anyone is interested?

    • It releases tomorrow, so will probably ship today.

  • Too close to returnal.

    Which I may never beat.

So maybe it's not too close to returnal.

    • Does Returnal have a [story] ending? With it being a roguelike I wasn't sure if it would be like a Risk of Rain type of deal.

      • I can't say from experience, but my understanding is flashbacks and in game lore complete the story. I'd imagine there's a small cutscene before endgame freeroam. But you definitely don't play it for the story, unless you want 1% story 99% difficult gameplay.

      • There's a handful of story sections but probably nothing more than 30minutes total, including cutscenes. You do get drip fed stuff through text and audio logs throughout the whole game though.

I quite liked the ending. There's also a secret one for doing some extra stuff after the credits roll.

If there is any DLC for RE VII, smart money says that Capcom will release a Gold Edition eventually.

Capcom likes to milk their franchises.

    • If there is any DLC for RE VII

      Yes.
