Any Good Audi Dealer Sales Rep Contacts for Sydney or Greater NSW? Buying This Weekend

Hi all - looking to get an Audi SUV over the weekend. Does anyone have any good sales reps details from Audi dealers in and around Sydney that they could share or PM? Or if there are any sales reps on here on OzB please reach out to me :)

Unconventional, but I have met and purchased from reps of other lux car brands on here a few times now so thought why not try again!

Thanks in advance

  • I should add that the car is being purchased for family, not me, and they have already done their research and finalised the car they want so don't need any vehicle feedback / advice on the brand, their SUVs etc :) I know how much OzB loves a good poll lol

You are going to have to hope someone actually has stock that they can sell you.

There are 9 2021 SQ5's in stock at the moment in NSW.

The only Audi SUV worth considering.

          What about the sq7?

          • @brendanm: Bloody barge.

          • @brendanm: I drove an RSQ8 yesterday - not mine - but enjoyed every second of it. The engine/exhaust noises were crazy, especially inside tunnels or shopping centre carparks.

      • Not much around but there are some in the spec they want - Audi has live inventory search on their site which is 90% reliable but doesn't include cars already on the ship on their way here so there are more coming in. Also they don't mind waiting a bit for the car to come in, just want to lock in a good deal.

Does it come with High Yield Club membership, this Audi?

      • Only associate membership unfortunately. Professional membership is only available with the purchase of an "AMG" A250…

    Toyota Camry

    • Considering the carpet issue we're having on ours where it keeps popping out of the clip that holds it down and Toyota refusing to do anything about it. I'd pick something else.

Yeah never mind the fact that it's a Toyota Camry and statistically one of the most reliable vehicles on the planet… if the floor mats slide around a bit, that's a deal breaker.

        • Couldn't of said it better myself.

        • Not the floor mats, the actual carpet. If gets worse it will actually lift into the space under the accelerator and potentially cause an issue.

        • I know your joking, but haven't multiple people in Toyota's died when their Toyota branded floor mat allegedly slid under the brake on the freeway?

          • +1

@This Guy: Yep. They had the service loan car Lexus. 1 set of mats on top of another. Family let Toyota release the 911 call… Bloody horrific

            • @spackbace: It's insane. Knowing how other brands work, I doubt Toyota had any input into the design. Most brands use local suppliers for all of their genuine accessory range.

    • Oh what a feeling! But not the feeling they are after, thanks though MS Paint!

  • Which model / colour / spec ?
What price have you had so far ?

    • White Q3 Sportsback 40 TFSI S-Line with Premium Plus package. RRP on this one is $77K with $72K considered to be a good deal per this whirlpool thread: https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2741603

Not to be confused with the 'normal' non coupe version which retails for $74K with $69K considered to be a good deal.

TBH I haven't done my in depth bargaining research yet. Have bought another SUV (different brand) during Covid lockdowns, so know from this market and experience that even getting a $72K deal isn't going to be easy to achieve in the current climate (and that's coming from someone who has previously negotiated 10s of thousands off lux cars). Hence thought it might help if someone knew an insider.

So got any contacts or just curious?

        Why a 2L 4-pot in a $70k "luxury car"? That's a pitifully weak 132 kW engine.

        • Tiguan R?

  • Audi Centre Sydney in Zetland?

I haven't made any purchases there but a family member did. They said they got a deal there but I'm not knowledgeable too in car dealership bargaining.

    • Bad experience with both Zetland and Five Dock - well, maybe i shouldnt have walked in looking daggy. Arrogant and sales werent bothered with us despite having chic chat amongst themselves and no other customers around.

Drove to Audi Sutherland, deal done in 30 mins, then took the car out for a test drive after deposit paid and dealer sorting out paperwork.

Send a colleague in for the same car at the same price the following week.

      • Same experience at Zetland.

Gotta thank them for that or else I'd be driving an A5 diesel convertible if they actually put in any effort in selling it.

  • They are a myth. Good car sales reps I mean not Audis.
