  • this monitor was the reason i can't sell my old monitor for a decent price lol..

  • Already own one of these. Does anyone know if you can daisy-chain them with a DisplayPort cable if it's plugged into my laptop via HDMI?

      The 2nd post sums it up;
      https://www.dell.com/community/Monitors/S2719DGF-connecting-…

      …the S2719DGF doesn't offer a DisplayPort output to facilitate daisy-chaining,

      You could consider a DisplayPort MST hub as they discuss.

      This is confirmed when reviewing the monitor tech specs and noting their is no display output connection;
      https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-27-gaming-monitor-s2721…

      • Thanks! Good to know. I suppose I'll look out for a hub. Hopefully GPUs will come down in price soon enough and I can actually build a desktop to use these things with.

          That user (jphughan) does discuss the use of a USB3.0 to HDMI adapter and the S2721DGF does have a USB output (not sure if that will carry the display signal or not) and frankly even if it does it defeats the purpose of getting a 165Hz monitor (this bandwidth will only be realised over DP) as you will never see the 165Hz over HDMI.

          • @Bold Eagle: Yeah I'm for sure planning to use DP once I can get a computer built. Honestly as someone coming from a laptop and shitty 1080p second monitor for work and a switch and old TV for games, 144hz at this resolution is awesome. Even just moving windows around feels great in comparison to 60hz.

  • In case this is helpful for anyone:
    I had a recently expired Dell Advantage coupon and sent an email to Dell asking if I could get it renewed. They got back to me the next day (today) and so I got this monitor for $384. Don't give up on expired coupons!

    • +1

      Impressive! I only had a $20 coupon :(

      EDIT: Never mind me, my maths is on fire today haha

  • I bit the bullet and bought one.

  • Was tossing up between this one and the S2721QS deal to go along with the new Alienware R11 which will come eventually. I finally decided to bite the bullet and purchase this one, since I don't think I would appreciate the 4K on a 27" screen, where I would notice the framerate difference. Now to hope that only buying 1 wasn't a mistake (to go along with my ~5 year old Samsung FHD Curved Monitor to use as the secondary screen).

    • +4

      Oh it's not a mistake. I bought one as well and loved it. Then I bought 2 and loved it. Now I've bought 3 and….(profanity)

  • Just called Dell RE: Price match guarantee, as I purchased less than a month ago. Hope they can help out 🤞🏼

    Anyone else had any luck with price matching a coupon discount?

  • Code doesn't work anymore

    • Frustrating. Finally decided to buy another one.

      • To be honest this price is still awesome. I bought last year at 550$

      • Same ;( I was about to buy it. I was sitting on buying one from yesterday

    • I guess the lesson is to ask for a quote. I have a quote valid for a day on the R10 but not the monitor. I decided to buy it anyway.

      signed up for the dell student Purchase Program, got a code for Extra 7% off on discounted products. Just used it and it works, amounted to the same as LOVEKEANU :)

      • +1

        ugh… if you didnt suggest this i might still have $400!

      • Hey, is this through UNiDAYS? I can see a 20% discount coupon, but it doesn't stack with the 40% and ends up being $639. Where abouts did you get the 7% from?

  • Does anybody know if you can use Shopback if you don't apply the coupon code?

    • dont think shopback works for monitors. also code does not work anymore

  • oh no im trying to buy it now why doesnt the code LOVEKEANU work on this anymore

  • Mine has arrived from this deal, it's beautiful. a++++

  • Ordered on 20.05.21, Shipped 21.05.21, Est Delivery 24.05.21.

    I am going to be very impressed if it is here on Monday.

    • That's awesome. Are you in Sydney? I think I read it comes from the warehouse in Sydney.

      • In QLD and yes the tracking shows from Sydney.

    For any who are interested the manuals etc. are here;

  • Just want to ask those who have this monitor…

    does your screen stretch all he way to the very edge? Mine has a small black border at the left, top, and right side. how do I fix it so the screen completely fills all pixels?
