Unsure about comparison to newer models but for $49 this is great for work, used to have a pair for plane trips and they worked pretty well. I am not a crazy audiophile, so i dont know how they compare but for the regular person its a good price for ANC.

I have JBL Live 650BTNC headphones. I liked them although within a short period of time the earpads started falling apart - very common issue (lots of pics here https://www.amazon.com/JBL-Around-Ear-Wireless-Headphone-Can…). Unsure if these use the same construction…looks similar from the icon pic.

JBL did offer me a free replacement however, so kudos to their warranty department.
