Indie Bundle for Palestinian Aid (1,272 Items from 865 Creators) - US$5 (~A$6.81) @ Itch.io

34532

I was waiting for this since I heard about it on Reddit. I have had many hours of enjoyment and inspiration from the Racial Justice bundle last year. Bundle of 1000ish things, games, soundtracks, assets, TTRPG, tools, etc. Haven't looked closely enough to unearth any real treats yet but for under seven bucks Australian for the couple of hours wading through weird TTRPG rulesets will be worth it for me personally…

Edit: The creator of the bundle has posted to Twitter there will be further additions "next week", so if you were on the fence about the value of the inclusions in the bundle it might be about to get bargain-ier!

Edit the second: More games and creators added. Deal remains great value for money!

Algemeiner is a right wing rag lol. Did you even read the article? Maybe cite something from a reliable news outlet like Al Jazeera or AP, or another outlet that Israel hasn't bombed yet.

      • +6

Is Biden a right-wing rag as well? Lol They can't give any guarantee the money will go to a terrorist group.

I have no problem condemning Israel, Hamas, Iran, Turkey, Palestinian extremist and Jews extremist, even some pro-Palestinian activities are terrorist group attacking innocent people around the world.

Whereas you diverted from Hamas to speak about Israel.

Hamas beat a Palestinian woman for not wearing the hijab. I posted it on my social media. While the pro-Palestinian keep turning a blind eye on Hamas. A terrorist group.

        • +8

Hamas beat a Palestinian woman for not wearing the hijab.
Oh my god, let's bomb the shit out of their land and steal it then.

I posted it on my social media
          Must be true then

Maybe read up on the Balfour treaty instead of "posting on your social media" about how Hamas beat a woman for not wearing hijab.

We are killing kids but look at that Hamas fella over there

          • +8

@scar4ace: Hamas killed Palestinian too. And committing a double war crime.

Where is your outrage when Hamas does it?

I have no problem condemning different groups. I already gave you the list.

          • +7

@scar4ace: Hamas uses Palestinian Children as human shield.

            Amazingly, let's ignore that.

            • +2

@gto21: Sure they do according to the times of Israel

And Israel slaughters children but let's say Hamas used them as shields so we can get away with it. Yes amazingly let's ignore that.

You're the person who quotes israel/Zionist biased articles and posts on their social media about women being beaten for not wearing hijab (no mention of Israel killing women wearing hijab?) But yeah you are unbiased

              • +7

@scar4ace: It's not let say Hamas is using children as a human shield. They are using them. There is not 'let say'.

Get rid of of you are biased before you criticise others.

                • +2

@gto21: "Hamas is using children as a human shield. They are using them. There is not 'let say'."

Sure they are. And Israel is only targeting "military sites" like the Palestinians kids playing on the beach.

No wait, that was probably a Palestinian rocket, right?

If you are not careful the media will have you believing those who are oppressed to be the oppressor

                  • +3

@scar4ace: That's Hamas saying it, not me.

I'm being careful. That why I see the hypocrisy. Some people are clear Hamas supporters.

            • @gto21: well its more useful than just cutting their throats as our SAS is reported to have done….

        • +2

Biden is a right winger. He staunchly supports Israel and the US continues to give billions of dollars of aid. If you genuinely think Hamas is doing anywhere near the amount of damage Israel is and can be capable of. You're delusional. Just look at the casualty numbers on both sides. You have no problem condemning Israel but all you've done throughout the comments is defend Israel and equate all Palestinians with Hamas. Enjoy being a fascist

          • +6

@WinstonWithAY: Ok Biden is a right winger. Is Trump a left winger? Hahahaha

            • +3

@gto21: If you believe that Biden, a neoliberal and staunch supporter of Israel, isn't firmly on the right, then your politics is skewed beyond belief

              • +1

@WinstonWithAY: I just said to someone else not all Palestinian belongs to Hamas. Can you not misrepresent me?

          • +3

@WinstonWithAY: Show me where I equate all Palestinian to Hamas.

            • +2

@gto21: Then why you harping on about Hamas?

              • +3

@scar4ace: Why aren't you harping on about Hamas?

                • +2

@gto21: Another brilliant point. You should post it on your social media along with the bad Hamas guy you saw

                  • +3

@scar4ace: As long as I expose them and not support a terrorist group because of a hatred for the Jews.

                    • +3

@gto21: Again conflating things and hiding behind oh they hate Jews, it's anti semitism

Sure, it's "hatred of the Jews" not the fact that the Zionists (not Jews) are butchering annihilating and strangulating a people (Palestinians, not Hamas) in their own land.

Forget the fact that Jews and Muslims largely coexisted in peace, and the land grab that started this whole thing with the Balfour treaty and the British promising land that didn't belong to them to 3 different peoples.

But sure let's stick to the sound bites "anti Jews, terrorists, using kids as human shields" whatever makes you sleep at night.

You clearly support Israel in this instance , yet you say don't support Terrorist, doesn't compute.

                      • +3

@scar4ace: I don't see the same outrage when the Chinese were raping Muslim women. But when it's a conflict with the Jews. The outrage is on another level. I don't see the same outrage when Palestinians die because of Hamas. It's not about Palestinians, it's about hatred for the Jews.

Your talking about Muslims, Allah in the Quran gave the land to the Jews. Allah was a zionist.

                      • +1

@scar4ace: Until now the Chinese put Muslims in concentration camps and rape their women. Where is the international outrage to the same level against Israel? The only explanation is that the pro-Palestinian activist hates the Jews more than anyone. I wonder why the extremists hate the Jews and want to fight them? Where do they get that idea from? https://sunnah.com/bukhari:2926

                        • +3

@gto21: If you want to go by Quran thats upto you.

Is that why many orthodox Jews do not believe in the Zionist cause and establishment of state of Israel?

A little hard to focus on all the world issues in this thread dont you think given its a thread on Palestinians. I am sure there is plenty of outrage and support for Uighurs.

Oh and please dont quote historical text , Quran and narrations (which isn't part of Quran anyway). These sayings could be in particular contexts (during war) and the other religon texts are just as violent. Stop deflecting from the reality of the political landscape of establishment of Israel today

@scar4ace: Muhammad and Allah confirm the Injil and Torah. And Allah said when in doubt go ask the people of the book (Jews and Christians). Guess what book Jews and Christians use the bible. In other words, Allah and the Quran approve of all of it. Any attempt to divert will backfire on the Quran.

They said: AbulQasim, one of our men has committed fornication with a woman; so pronounce judgment upon them. They placed a cushion for the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) who sat on it and said: Bring the Torah. It was then brought. He then withdrew the cushion from beneath him and placed the Torah on it saying: I believed in thee and in Him Who revealed thee.

He's pro Israel to the point where he believes it's America's duty to protect Israel and fund terrorism, has no problem with guns, loves big business, obsessed with the status quo and has more big business donors than any President in history. He has also supported every war America has been in since like 40 years ago.
His grandchildren and children are also Jewish and hardcore zionists along with his brown VP.

Moderate Republicans are hardcore loony tunes living in the land of the Adam and Eve.

@Orico: It’s people like you who push people further away from the left 🤣. You need to get an education in politics 😂😂😂

                • @bigchungus: since they all piss on their own democracy and written constitution they sit where they chose to - neo fascist.

telling people with more accurate views they are uneducated is just trashtalk. Biden does not support democracy as a concept internationally, and has endorsed the very recent slaughter of america's biggest military ally against Isis.

he was happy to allow the kurds to be killed slaughtered and raped. Biden exposed the fake american democrats to the world. the fact that the democrats are mostly not fascists is not really the point. They stand for nothing now but hypocrisy.

      As they say THEMSELVES:

The Algemeiner, a global news destination published online and in print, serves as an independent media voice covering the Middle East, Israel and matters of Jewish interest around the world.

Maybe something vaguely balanced or will that hurt the nonsense and biased message you're force feeding us?

    • +6

      Good ol algemeiner propaganda
Seriously how dumb do you think people are?

  • +14

This is a politically inflammatory post.
I thinks posts like this will divide the ozbargain community. We don't need to bring politics here.

And I personally can't fund terrorist organisations like Hamas (because that's where this will go). Hamas hide in schools and hospitals and use their children as human shields to throw rockets indiscriminately across a border with the only goal to kill innocents, arab, Jew anyone.
Despicable organisation, can't believe so many people are ok with their actions. Disgusting.

    • +21

This is for the Palestinian people via the UN. Sure Hamas isn't the girl scout movement, neither is Israel.

Despicable organisation, can't believe so many people are ok with their actions. Disgusting.
You could be speaking about Israel here

    • +8

With all due respect the POST isn't politically inflammatory. Unfortunately people here are either too ignorant or simple to actually read the deal (and technically OzB rules are that negging a deal should only be on whether you feel it is a good deal or not, not that you don't like the product etc).

What do you really know about Hamas? Have you done much reading up about them and given even a moment's empathy to how you would feel if you were an average Palestinian?

Can you explain to me the actual differences between a terrorist group and a freedom fighter group? As I put it to you there's no real difference other than who we 'feel' best suits our current political stance.

Your comments on Hamas are untrue or misleading at best. Lets keep it simple and the death toll from the most recent and all the other conflicts shows the real story - overwhelmingly many, many times more Palestinians are killed - and yet Israel will always claim this is self defence and make all manner of excuses for stuff i.e destroying that media complex so coverage was limited.

I'd challenge you to do more reading up on the area via independent sources and also EMPATHISE with how you really feel an oppressed, very poor, militarily weak people SHOULD react against the strongest military in the region who for decades has ignored UN rules.

It's very easy to judge others when you don't truly understand the hopeless situation they're in.

      • +10

The argument that ‘more Palestinians than Israelis are dying’ and that ‘Israel’s response is disproportionate’ is ridiculous. If rockets are getting fired towards your civilian centres continually what are you meant to do? One bomb for one rocket? One Hamas operative for one civilian? Or is the ratio two to one?
Surely the only ethical response is to destroy the rocket launching capability of the people shooting rockets at you whilst minimising civilian casualties.

        • +6

Maybe they shouldnt be settling into land that's internationally recognised as being illegally occupied?

What does Israel expect to get Hummus and Falefels?

          • +3

@scar4ace: Being apparently 'illegally occupied' does not justify the shooting of rockets at civilians, not to mention a suicide bombing campaign stretching decades and a charter which will make your stomach turn.

            • +1

@orthogonal: Being apparently "shot at by rockets" does not justify the large scale bombing campaigns, killing of innocents and children, not to mention a prolonged destruction of infrastructure, imprisonment and economic strangulation of a people stretching decades,
, and an apartheid regime that will make your stomach turn.

              • +3

@scar4ace: By bombing campaign you make it sound like indiscriminate WW2-era carpet bombing rather than targeted attacks on launching infrastructure which Hamas, by no coincidence, locates in close proximities to schools, hospitals, etc.

Scar4ace, if you were Israel and Hamas were continually firing rockets at your population centres, what exactly would you do to resolve this?

            • @orthogonal: I'm gonna take your house because if I don't, someone else will.

              • +1

@Orico: What does taking houses have to do with trying to kill as many innocent civilians as possible and using your children as human shields?

          • +5

@scar4ace: Hmmm wouldn't that apply for the indigenous people in Australia too? how would expect Australia to react if they were shooting rockets at Melbourne or Sydney?

            • +1

@freshofftheplane: Yea they didn't have rockets then, do you think the indigenous didn't try and fight for their land?

How would Australia react if China rocked up , annexed the whole eastern part and occupied it today?
Hint - the US will sell us weapons at a discount.

              • +3

@scar4ace: You make it seem as though the Arabs were the original inhabitants of the land, the 'natives' as such. This is historically incorrect. Happy to go into it if you want a brief history lesson.

                • @orthogonal: Yes but the original inhabitants, whatever the ancient people or ideology were displaced not by Muslims or Arabs but Romans. There was ultimately a diaspora of the people.

Since there have been many inhabitants ,.many rulers etc. Jews Muslims etc have co existed In that region that became known as Palestine.

So why should the current inhabitants of the Palestinian regions be forced out of their lands, thrown out of their homes etc in the formation of a modern Zionist state decided by the British when they took it from the Ottomans?

                  • +2

@scar4ace: You're absolutely correct, and yes, there was displacement (many of it voluntary rather than forced). And yes, I believe some of it was certainly ethically questionable. However much of the acquired land occurred following the 1967 war, whereby Arab armies attempted for a second time to push, in their words, "The Jews into the Sea". They subsequently lost and Israel acquired land which it uses to this day as a defensive buffer. Is it unethical for conquered land from an aggressor to be held? One can debate it, but I think there's a strong case to be made that they should be entitled to hold it.

        • +1

Were they getting fired 'continually' or did they start launching them in response to something?

Israel's military might vs Palestine's is like me trying to take on the World Heavyweight for boxing and MMA - AT ONCE. So they don't just attack for the sake of it as they know (as history shows) they end up getting hammered and suffering greater damage and casualties.

It's not a perfect example but under Australian law self defence can only be justified as actually stopping an attack (very different to retaliating, which is largely what Israel did) and also it must be preportational given the parties involved i.e if you're a great big bloke and a tiny old lady hits you, you can't belt her into the middle of next week.

Kind of common sense wouldn't you say.

Lets call a spade a spade - what Israel did was deliberately and calculated as a retaliation and a deterent - they also wanted to inflict maximum damage to the infrastructure of the Palestinians. You can't argue this as 'I was just defending myself' and expect to be taken seriously.

Yes, the Palestinians should not be so stupid as to launch missiles - but I would imagine they truly feel like they have nothing to lose and honestly they really should not be pushed into such a desperate situation.

But as stated we've allowed now for decades Israel to ignore multiple UN rulings, take more land illegally, put more and more duress on a poverty stricken people - so what do you expect?

          • +4

@Nikko: Listen, if Israel wanted to, as you say, 'inflict maximum damage to the Palestinians' there would be tens if not hundreds of thousands of Palestinian deaths. It's a ridiculous notion. Because there are only several hundred casualties (many of which were Hamas operatives) speaks to the fact that Israel was using the utmost restraint to destroy their ability to conduct rocket attacks on Israeli population centres.

        • +6

Orthogonal you hit the nail on the head!

Difference being Hamas is internationally trying to harm innocents, whilst using human shields (their own people) to hide behind.

I don't know many "freedom fighters" who try to win by intentionally targeting civilians. Wonder where their empathy is for civilians trying to just go about their day….hhhm.

Whilst Israel is trying to target terrorists.

          Apparently the intention doesn't matter.

When supporting humanity is politically dividing. Same shit said by the allies when USSR told them about the jew fernos.

(profanity) the one sided politics with the control of mass media. Hamas might be terrorist org but for millions of people, women and children being prisoned and killed, is the only hope.

So again, (profanity) your politics and your false security blanket. Open your eyes.

You do understand there's literally only a few things in life that are guaranteed? So saying something 'isn't guaranteed' is basically the Dumb & Dumber 'So you're saying there's a chance!' type comment.

      • +5

That's one thing you need to give a guarantee when a terrorist group is involved.

        • +3

Whats the difference between a terrorist and a freedom fighter group? Anything tangible or just who 'we' prefer at the time?

Seems a tad arbitrary and simplistic if as I suspect it is the case.
