i5 with 8gb ram and a 3060… not sure who they're making a laptop with those specs for

      • Young Gamers.

      • +1

        It's fiiiiiine.

This machine will crush Roblox, minecraft and fortnight.

      • +1

        Me :)
This deal was posted a week ago in any case
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/629142

I still maintain the $1298 is an arse crushing deal.

        • I just mean a 3060 is a league above that CPU and 8GB of RAM, it seems like a mismatch where the CPU and RAM are the bottlenecks. Normally components compliment each other. The above comments about Fortnite etc make sense

          • @BrokeCamel: Agree ram is pox, but you can (and should) just slot in another stick if you need
CPU seems fine to me. GPU is more powerful, but for many/most use cases GPU should be overmatched vs CPU.
Are $1,300 with bonuses I haven’t seen a more functional matching on a laptop

    • I did see that one, but the reviews say the display is sub 50% SRGB.

      • The screen on this won’t be a lot better

        • +2

It’s brighter and close to or is 100% SRGB.

    • +4

This is the real bargain. Can upgrade the ram easily enough in these.

  • What kind of games can we play on this? CSGO, COD, Battlefield series? Are there any CPU thermal throttling?

    • -1

All gpu throttle when your playing in hell. :) hope this helps.

    • +1

Those games won't be a problem at all. The only things it will struggle with are super demanding games like Microsoft Flight Sim or Cyberpunk 2077 etc

  • Want this laptop 1498 yesterday.

    • Got a link?

    • @spudmcduff
I checked out the Nitro 5 at HN today and during my chat with the HN agent, he told me that they have a 7 days price guarantee.
So even if the offer has expired yesterday you should be able to get the same price.
No harm in taking a punt !

  • Might of been a error but for 2 days it was that price same as the gaming laptop with 2060 gp

No don't have a link unfortunately.

  • BTW, stack with 7% off harvey norman shopback vouchers currently.

  • Can the hard drives be upgraded on this?

  • what's the wattage/tdp of this 3060? And how would it compare to a 2070 Max-Q?
