Yes, it's very annoying and cannot be switched off but you can skip.

It's very annoying, especially when they show you an ad content it knows you have already seen before. It lets you add it to your watch list which might be nice, except it's always the same damn set of ads.

I agree it is very annoying but at least they are ads for the other content on the service you are paying for, not product placements.

it does put me off after using netflix with no ads and seamless autoplay/skip - which reminds me AZ charged me a week early gotta check that
