  • Built-in Spotlight & Siren
With integrated 2pcs 6500K spotlights and built-in siren, Argus 3 will turn on the spotlight and sound the customized siren alarm immediately to deter the threat. In the meantime, a push notification will pop out on your phone or tablet.

  • Starlight 1080P Night Vision
Boasting luminous spotlights and a 2-megapixel starlight CMOS sensor, crisp video recording, and live streaming with 33 ft, yard-illuminating color night vision helps identify more valuable details like the color of intruders’ clothes or cars even at night.

  • Time Lapse - Visualize the Passing of Time

  • Smart Motion & Control
PIR motion sensor dramatically reduces false alarms caused by fluttering moths or flying twigs. Alexa & Google compatibility completes your security surveillance for smart home automation.

  • Not sure if this is different, but the Argus 2 siren is like a normal conversation volume at best.

    • Hi there. Argus 3 has the spotlight providing color night vision which Argus 2 doesn't, for your information :)

      • More commenting on the siren volume. Argus 3 features are good 😊

        • Actually the siren volume is kinda same as the Argus 2 ;)

Just got one of these to compare to a Eufy 2C - solar panel won't work with other brands it seems, battery holds up well, range isn't great on the wifi, motion detection seems pretty good, clarity/quality is excellent, much better than the Eufy. But connection times in the app vary wildly, it's annoying that notifications/alarms don't give you a screen cap and neither does playback, so you can't search for more relevant events. Overall, pretty good value for the money.

    Can you disable the siren?
I don't need that but would like the lights to activate

    • Yes, you can turn off the siren anytime when you don't need it :)

    Thanks OP, just ordered.

    • Hope you receive it soon!

  • Can this do continuous recording?

    Also this vs. E1 Pro?

    • Hi, no, I'm afraid not, since this is a battery-powered camera that cannot do continuous recording. But the E1 Pro WiFi camera can record 24/7.

      • Oh okay. Cause in the description it says it can do scheduled recording so I assumed you can just schedule it 24/7 like the E1 Pro.

      • Hello, if a camera doesn't do 24/7, then what's the point?

Wouldn't it just loop and write to local storage until it fills up, then overwrite oldest data, so in effect….it is continouse, just that the microsd card limit prevents it from doing 24 hours?

I don't get the usage scenario then?

Are you saying this is an 'on demand' camera then? So not really useful as a security camera?

        • I'd assume recording is triggered by motion detection.
Is only recording when motion is detected not useful for security?

          • @Tiggrrrrr: Hi @Tiggrrrrr It will also do pre-motion recording, starting to record before the motion event happens. Once the motion is detected, you will also receive prompt notifications on your phone or your e-mail, keeping you notified in time.

        • Hi there. Since this is a battery-powered camera, the camera will drain the battery so quickly if recording continuously. When the motion is detected, the camera will immediately be awake and record. Also there is pre-motion record you can set it up, the camera starting to record before the motion event happens.

As for the overwrite, yes, after turning the overwrite button on, the camera will still record when the SD card is filled up and the new recordings will cover the old ones.

Prompt notifications will also be sent to your phone or your e-mail getting you informed anytime and anywhere as well, please do not worry.

  • Is the mounting system different to the argus 2 ? Wondering if I can do a straight swap out

    • Hi, there. Yes, it's different, and I'm afraid it cannot be swapped directly.

  • +1

What would be good would be the allowance for seperate time settings for motion detection and siren.

Eg - motion detection tells me my kids come home in the afternoon but I only require the siren after midnight for
    robbers.

  • How long does the battery last in one charge? Eg. full day of sunlight? In the cloudy day, can I charge using power bank for example?

    • +1

Hello, yes, you can charge it with either the solar panel or the regular 5V/2A power adapter. Generally speaking, for normal use, the battery will last for 1-4 weeks for your information :)

    • +1

I have the Argus 2 with solar panel and they've never run out of charge. It's be interesting to see what effect the spotlight has on that.

  • Any deals on other models? I'm specifically looking for an outdoor (under eaves).

Also, someone mentioned a PoE camera wont work with a standard modem / router and you'll need to add a network switch. Can you confirm?

    • Hello there. Yes, please feel free to message me what camera model you're interested in and then I will make some recommendations for you.

As for your question, no, you don't have to use a network switch for the PoE camera, and just plug it directly into your router which will work well :)

    • +3

The rep is wrong, if you want to power a camera via PoE, you will need a switch that can provide PoE. If you plug it into your standard modem/router, you'll need to power the camera separately from mains.

edit: clarity for anyone else reading, I am not talking about the camera listed in this deal (which has battery/solar)

      • +1

Thank you for confirming. My reading into the matter came to the same conclusion. Apparently a very small number of consumer modem routers support PoE as they do not supply enough power. One will often need a separate network switch or an injector/splitter to achieve 'real' PoE.

Should be renamed to sPoE (some Power over Ethernet).

        • That's right, you'll either need a switch or injector. If you're planning to install more than 1 camera you may need a switch anyway. Try searching OzB, I remember seeing a few deals over time for cheap PoE switches.

If you are only installing 1 camera you could look at an injector if you don't want to mains power it.

      • Thank you so much for the supplement :) I forgot to explain separately that the PoE camera should still be powered up via a DC 12V power adapter. Otherwise, a PoE switch will be needed for powering the cam up. Appreciate your helpful information added!

  • Can Argus 3 able to do both SD card and Cloud upload at the same time?
I have an Argus 2 which it seems footages only upload to the Cloud
even I have a SD card inserted

  • +1

Any deal with the Argus 3 Pro? I found that the AI features for people/vehicle detection is almost a must (for me) due to the fact that it cuts out so many false positives. I've had to disable notifications on the non AI detection cameras I have due to the noise it generates.

    • Currently the Argus 3 Pro is not available yet. I understand your concerns, and please stay tuned with us for more updates :)

      • Do you have any indications as to when the 3 Pro will be available? Just a rough estimate will do.

  • I need Argus 3 camera only, can I get 25% on that?

    • Hi, there. Please send me a message and I will help further on this :)

  • Would you please provide some information about the cloud storage. How many cameras are supported for free and for how long? I basically need 4 cameras and would like them all to be connected to the same account

    • Hello, Yasocato. Actually, the number of cameras connected to the Cloud depends on the plan that you subscribe to. For detailed information, you can refer to the Reolink Cloud. You can subscribe to the free plan to store videos for 7 days, but it can only be applied to one camera in the same account.

  • Hi Op,
Purchased one and wanting to get 2 more, but price reverts to $147.04 each

    • Hi, there. Please send me a message and I will help further on this :)
