The browser version is great. TaikoCatsCaffe is really good, too, if not better. There's a bit of setup required, but it's worth it. There's a guide to install it here.

mine's arrived on Friday last week and been playing it a lot since then. Thanks for the tip OP.

Somehow I find I need to hit kinda hard for it to really register my hit properly, especially during faster notes. Anyone experiencing similar issues?

    • It's a common complaint, though people have noted that it gets a bit more sensitive over time. You also start to get used to how much force is required to register a hit after a little while, even during faster notes. I haven't done it myself, but it's also quite popular to mod the drum which is supposed to make it a lot more sensitive. Here's a comparison. I'd suggest playing around with it for a while longer, and if the sensitivity is still an issue for you, you can look into modding it.

  • I still have not recieved mine. Playasia support are useless and just fob you off.

  • Hi, thank you for posting this deal. Ours arrived few weeks ago. But we noticed every time we have to play the ‘ka’ part (blue), it doesn’t seem like it registers the hit. Which part of the drum should we hit, we saw on youtube videos it seems like the upper part of the drum slightly right or left. But it still doesn’t recognize it. I asked playasia customer service about this and they want us to return to drum to HK for checking. Will only refund the return shipping if found faulty. Does anyone else have the same issue? Thanks

You can't get it to register at all? You hit it within this area, as marked by the lines on the edge of the drum. Try adjusting the angle and force that you're using to hit it if you haven't already.

      • Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for the picture, that’s very helpful. Unfortunately we can’t get it to register at all. Must have gotten the faulty one -bugger. Have decided to keep it since kids are happy enough hitting the drum regardless the games. Too much hassle returning overseas, we’ll purchase from Aussie stores next time.

        • Sorry to hear that. If you're going to keep it, there's a character you can choose that removes the distinction of red and blue notes. So you can play only using the face of the drum if that helps.
