    excluding the ShopBack Super Store

Is the super store gift cards?

    • +1

Hey, yeah that's correct. I'll update the deal to better reflect this :)

  • +1

Awesome, thanks, I'm in for the $3 bonus!

Quick question. What defines a "new customer" - is it someone who signs up today, or someone who has signed up but not yet made a purchase?

    • +1

      Enjoy!
Technically both, a New Customer is anyone who has signed up but has not transacted before.
So if they sign up today they'll qualify as a New Customer and can see the bonus once they join the OzBargain Perks Partnership :)

  • +1

Will this stack with the referral?

    • As they are two separate promotions, yes.
You can be referred to sign up + earn this bonus :)

  • +1

I made a $30+ purchase early in the morning. After I clicked start, it shows completed, reward pending immediately. It makes me confused.

    • +10

We didn't want people who missed out by a few hours to not get the rewards or have to make a new purchase ;)

    • +1

      Edit: See gotyourbacks's reply above!

  • +3

Thanks shopback But I wish it was somewhat of a better deal for already existing loyal shopback customers. But Oh well Ozbargain knows always more for new people

    • +3

Hey mate, we're working on a few cool deals for Existing Customers over the coming months.
      Keep an eye out!

      • +5

Maybe your customers would get much greater benefits if you worked on your tracking instead !

        • +3

Yep - I have missed a $20 cashback from Liquorland a couple of weeks ago due to their tracking issues.
Got the usual email when I enquired with the reasons it may have failed. None of them are relevant.
The small ones get through though. Funny isn't it?
Why I don't bother much anymore.

      • yes wanna spend big but waiting for some good offers, I might wait for those better offers, and skip this one

  • is it okay if i buy something from amazon but part pay with amazon giftcard?
for example item is $35 i pay $30 in amazon gift certificates and the rest cc

    • +1

If you pay with an Amazon Gift Card, there will be no issue.
If you pay with Amazon Credits or a different branded Gift Card, then it will fail.

      Here's why:
Amazon allows Cashback on purchases made with their own Gift Cards (even the one's we sell & give cashback on in our Super Store)
But if you use Credits or another Gift Card, then they will deny cashback and your order will not track, resulting in no bonus being given.

If you have any other questions, let me know :)

      • +1

ok thanks. yes definitely using amazon owned giftcards

      • I have Amazon $5 promotional credit, am I still eligible for this perk if I apply it to my eligible Amazon order?

        • +1

The Credit will void your cashback, which results in no $ value being tracked on our system.
So you will not get the bonus if you use the Credit.

I would advise saving the credit for another time, to not miss out on this bonus :)

  • If I buy an item from ebay over $30 using ebay egift card, am I eligible for the $3 bonus cashback?

    • Absolutely :)

      • On the T&C, it says challenge needs to be activated. Do I activate the challenge on the shopback app? Or do I click on the link on the webpage? When I click on the link, it displays OzBargain Exclusive Perks
        Specials Just for OzBargainers

        Terms & Conditions
You have already enrolled in this partnership!

So now I just have to activate shopback on the extension bar of Chrome, and make a $30+ purchase on ebay.com.au.

Just wanted to confirm the above procedure will ensure I get the cashback. Will the bonus cashback be tracked immediately after I made the purchase?

        • Hey mate, sorry I missed this earlier.
If you follow these steps, you'll be sweet. Essentially you'll need to activate in our app before purchasing (but I've set it up so that even after purchasing it'll count the order)

3 Once you've enrolled, click 'Earn More' on the bottom bar of our App > then click the 'Perks' tab.
4 The exclusive challenge can be found here, click 'Start'

          Cheers!

      • What about if I used eBay credit? One of the Tuesday eBay deal expired earlier than advertised and I received a $20 credit from eBay (code starts with MAUCSxxxxxxxxxx). The product I want to buy is $55 so I'll be paying $35.

          • +1

@gotyourback: But it's a voucher code which normally invalidates any cashback?

            • @CVonC: Hey mate, sorry I made a mistake. My brain is on auto-pilot today.
You're 100% right, this will invalidate cashback from the promo code.

@CodeXD just an updated response. Sorry for any confusion.

              Cheers!

              • +1

@gotyourback: No worries! Thanks for the prompt update! I'll see if I can find something else for the $30 :)

  • +1

Thanks op. Been a dry period without much offer from cashrewards and shopback. Does this stack with other challenges like the 12 dollars extension challenge and the get 9 dollars bonus cashback for 20 dollars spending at any 3 stores challenges?

    • +1

      Yes you can ;)

      • Thanks Op! Bought lots of dental floss from chem warehouse. Hopefully it tracks well :)

  • $30 in one transaction or it can be multiple transactions equaling to $30 in same store?

    • +1

It can be across multiple orders, just as long as you reach the minimum spend amount.
      Cheers!

      • +1

@gotyourback Any chance of adding the ‘Spent’ or each order ‘value’ in the app transactions (Similar to CR). So if we have multiple items in one order we can know which item earned the cash back and which didn’t. Especially for Amazon products, as their eligible categories can be confusing at times.

        • +1

Hey mate, some really great feedback here. I'm not sure if our team are already working on this, but regardless I'll pass it on :)

          Cheers!

          • @gotyourback: If you are not sure then you should pass it on. And have a look at Cashrewards they make it really simple to see what bonus applies to what purchase. With you, it's next to impossible. I say this as someone who is generally happy with your tracking performance.

  • +1

What happens if the purchase is in a 0% cash back category? Eg: on certain items through Amazon. Will the bonus fail?

    • +1

0% categories will not earn cashback, thanks for the reminder - I'll update the deal now :)

      • whups… just bought, mine is from 0% group….
so no cash back but still get this bonus $3 for $30 purchase, right?

        • Unfortunately not. 0% cashback category items don't count towards the completion of the bonus :(
You can refund & purchase something else if you'd like, or you could purchase something else.
          It is up to you.

          Cheers!

          • -2

            @gotyourback: argh.. not good….
i made purchase before you adding the condition on the original post, can you help me with this :) please :)

            • +7

@ChiMot: It's always been the case where 0% categories are of course excluded from the bonus.

              Just cancel and rebuy man.

  • +1

Combine this with the PIA VPN 100% Cashback deal and get paid $3 to have a VPN for 3 years.

  • -3

Is your time following up with their slow-to-never replying email support when they inevitably do not credit you the cashback worth $5?

  • +1

I just wanted to ask any moderator if they could please update the referral bonus to reflect the current $30 for referrer and $10 for referee as it's still showing $40 which I believe was a temporary offer.
Sorry if this isn't the right place to mention it. Thanks

    • shows 30 to me But that's a different story that i dont see anyone from OZBARGAIN ever join shopback via use of my code

      • I got one on the 31st of March, pending at $30.

They haven't had $20 confirmed or updated their withdrawal details.waiting for a random email to confirm but most likely deny it.

        • +1

Yeah I've had a few that stayed pending for ages, it's usually the person signed up and made the initial purchase but then forgot about it so you gotta wait until they get around to withdrawing usually. I'm not sure if there's a time limit but I had one that took over 6 months.

  • Normally IGA gift card is eligible but it won’t let me purchase. Anyone else with the same problem?

    • If you enter "IGA Supermarkets Gift Card" on our search bar, does it come up?
Also could you check you've got the most up-to-date version of our app :)

      • I get ‘Guard Intrusion Prevention’ message.

        • Hey mate, sorry I missed this earlier.
If you're still having this error pop up in the ShopBack App, could you please reach out to our customer service team so they can investigate?
I'd suggest possibly shopping elsewhere in the meantime if you'd like to take advantage of this bonus.

  • Is it eligible for Subscribe & Save items on Amazon?

    • Yes it is, as S&S now earns Cashback on the First Order :)

      • Is that if you are buying that product for the first time?

        • Yeah, that's correct :)

  • ok what if, i buy 2 items on amazon
    1 from 0% group = $31,
1 from 7.0% group = $37 but i need to buy them together in one checkout to avoid shipping fee.
    will i get $3 bonus?

    • +1

      Yes

    • Yep you'll get the cashback on the $37 item.
If you run into any issues, send me a DM and I'll sort it out for you.

  • Purchases can be done on PC? Dont need to be via app once you have done the opt in via app?

    • +1

      Yep that's correct :)

  • How about paying an auction from an American seller on ebay? Does it qualify?

    • Hey mate, good question!
This is pulled straight from our eBay Australia "Do's & Don'ts"

"Items with Best Offer accepted prices and Auctions are NOT eligible for cashback"

      Hope that helps :)

  • +1

Bought a black bonds hoody, cheers shopback.

    • +1

      Enjoy! :D

  • If I join using a referral link, will I get additional $10 and $5 as a new customer?

    • Yes you will :)

  • Just to clarify. Not eligible to buy gift cards, but it’s OK to use a gift card to pay?

    • If you use an Amazon or eBay Gift Card to pay at those stores, then those orders will track fine.
If you use a Gift Card to pay at any other store, it's highly likely your order won't earn cashback (as most of our merchants don't pay cashback on payments made by Gift Card).
So it's dependant on which store you shop at.

      Cheers

      • +1

Oh wait really? Ebay is eligible while paying via gift card? Damn had a few of those sitting around I could have used

        • Yeah, they're one of the rare ones!

        • Damn

  • -1

For refer a friend, when u planning to have more or equal credit for new member than referrer.

  • OP, does this work with the Amaysim 50% off deal? When I try to purchase, Amaysim mentions "Promo: X6DHF9" and I'm not sure if that's counted as an invalid coupon code for Shopback.
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/641024

    • If the code is auto-applied, then yes the cashback will track :)

      • +1

        Great - thanks!
        Yes it's auto applied.

  • -2

If not gift cards and the most of Amazon, then I wonder what I would spend $30 on to get $3 back. Not a good deal, Shopback.

    • Shopback has a massive list of stores that you can buy from.

Some examples include free click and collect from bigw regardless of amount or from target with minimum $20 spend (you want $30 spend from this anyway).

Obviously check the exclusion list for those stores before you buy.

  • +1

Nice.!.. When does the bonus appear in my account - cashback tracked already but no mention of bonus yet.?

    • Bonus will be credited shortly after your cashback goes from "Pending" to "Approved.
That'll just depend on which store you shopped at & how long their "Pending" period lasts :)

  • Thanks

  • Tracking failure at Liquorland via flypay. Flypay kept loading but transaction went through.

  • +2

    Downvote for previous bad experience

  • +5

Poorly handled data leak and inconsistent tracking

  • Update: The Existing Customer offer has now hit the Opt-In cap and is no longer available to join.

    Thanks to everyone who participated!

  • Update #2: I just got approval to increase the new customer bonus to $15 on $5 spends. This can be combined with other bonus challenges + sign-up bonuses!
    Enjoy!

    • -1

Existing please… when Existing happy they will refer friends… if not then you get no new customers… your marketing technique is wrong…

      • Yes this is not good existing customers are treated so poorly

    • +3

Trying to buy back all your old hacked customers after we cancelled our accounts maybe :)

  • +6

I’m still getting regular spam calls since their massive data breach! I literally have pages of blocked numbers and adding more every week!
